CH33KX once upon a time i thought i invented that trick 😂 i just started akating and figured this out on my own without any input from the skateboarding universe 😄
It's because there always seems to be that one dude at the skate park who does them off a jump ramp or kicker and thinks he's the shit but they're not actually that hard. On flat or from flat down a big drop is a different story but a kicker/jump ramp throws the board up right where you need it and it's not actually all that impressive. That's my experience anyway.

All my 40 year old friends that come back to skating normally can land a pressure flip faster than any of their old tricks. Can't Ollie up a curb but they can pressure flip 🤷.
@Hammer Of Crom my brother in law jumped on a board after 16 years and knocked one out at 40. I was blown away. I am 43 but stopped staying in 89 and started again 2 years ago. Learning tricks for the first time seems to be much different than coming back to them.
@Hammer Of Crom that sucks Sir. Sorry to hear that. I have been blessed in my career to not sustain an injury that prevents me from doing my job or skating. Hating any trick sorta takes away from that pure feeling of when you first started skating and was super hyped on anything to do with skateboarding but then again it might be different for kids now since skateboarding is everywhere and easy to be influenced by other skaters
I Love/Hate pressure flips. They look so sick, but once you get the mechanics down they're usually much easier than kick/heel tricks that flip exactly the same. They definitely help with a lot of tricks (impossibles, nicer bigspins like you mentioned) but they are easy to rely on "too much". If you can do a perfectly vertical, high, snappy pressure flip it's hard to find the motivation to learn or improve your inward heelflip, for example.
I've been getting back into skating and learning all my tricks back has been pretty easy, but for some reason I can't land a varial flip anymore no matter how hard I try. The crazy part about it, is years ago when I learned varials, it only took me 2 tries.
I feel like heelflips usually higher than kickflip because of the flick is similar to ollie, so beginners who have their heelflip good will have more advantage than kickflip people since they can do over stuff meanwhile others have to waste time practice flicking the right way in order to do high kickflip

I LOVE the skaters he references in this. Neen's heelflips are a national treasure.
Best looking tricks,in order, to me are 1) nollie 360 inward heel, because come on when you see that in a video part or a companion I don’t care how much skateboarding you do your jaw automatically drops, 2) late flip of any variation, 3) finger flip, 4) crooked grinds, 5) nose blunt-slide & my personal favorite trick to do & see in video parts & contest is not common but any flip trick with a late shove-it. Very hard for me to get them on flat ground, I’ve landed maybe 3 clean and rolled away with speed on flat. Aloha Nui LOA from Hawaii Big Island brudda, keep the video’s coming...🤙🏼
Jonny are you a Zelda fan? I noticed you had a picture of majoras mask in the background. That’s cool
Best looking - big floated backside 180 - kickflip caught at max height - long backside Smiths - frontside rock n roll board slide - frontside feeble grind
Even with the disturbing content disclaimer, I still wasn't ready
"go OUT and learn this trick" yeah Jonny I'm in italyyyy
Those mountains are beautiful in the background
