I absolutely love the Miribel Naturals flaxseed gel. It's one of the best commercial FSG available in the market. I also liked that you touched on the fact that expensive products doesn't necessarily mean it'll work better for you. Sometimes cheaper products can perform better than expensive ones!

A bit random, but for sleeping I use 2 pineapples; one for on top (top half of hair) and the bottom portion of my hair in another pineapple. It really helps with stretched out curls!

Today is my hair washing day. I have been putting it off for so long (almost two weeks). My scalp is itchy and caked with dry shampoo I have been using for 4 days to try to cover the grease. I do have long, thick and heavy wavy hair. My hair is also super dry and frizzy. I have to wear my hair up in a bun for work. So I don’t really care for my wavy properly like I should. I also only use a blow dryer when I wash my hair I don’t have a diffuser attachment for my blow dryer. My blow dryer is almost 10 years old. I got in on clearance at Walmart back in 2015.
Sometimes I use mousse or a sea salt spray in my hair but it gets crunchy when I scrunch it. And if I scrunch out the crunch my curls go flat.
Any advice for my hair will be appreciated.
do you have a personal favorite shampoo and conditioner? i have long but fine, medium hair and ive been struggling to find some lightweight shampoos and conditioners that wont way down my hair.
I enjoyed these products, especially the flaxseed gel! Loved that! But I need a better shampoo that lathers even though I enjoyed the smell and “grit” of the shampoo. I hope Jackie incorporates those things into a “real” shampoo. Also, I want to try the foam but eagerly awaiting a launch of a strong hold gel and shampoo. I know she has a young child so I assume if make take over a year but buying ASAP when they launch. Thanks for doing this educational One Brand Wash Day!

I thought i have medium to high porosity but no, after testing my hair porosity i get that i have low or low to medium porosity.
If you have an event do you wash day of or do you prefer second day curls?
Have you tried their foam too? I know you’re doing simple with 1 styler, but I am curious if it would add more hold when used with the flaxseed gel. I find foams don’t do enough on their own, but still are simple to add in with a gel for an extra boost to the washday.

Every time I experiment with product, I always go back to Miribel Naturals. It's hand down the best stuff I've ever used. I do like to add a harder hold gel, hair mask, and a clarifying shampoo, but other than that I use 100% Miribel Naturals. The flaxseed gel makes my curls so tight and practically no frizz. It's unlike anything else I've ever tried.
