The gentleman who sculpted the GW terrain pieces you like is called Colin Grayson, who I had the pleasure of working with whilst I was in the design studio. He's a lovely bloke, who made some very characterful and detailed models, and was in my opinion criminally under appreciated whilst he was there.
It's so cool to see Blkout make it onto your list for 2024! From a member of the Blkout Creative Team, thank you so much! We have a lot of stuff in the pipe for 2025 so here's to next year :D
My dude, I don't play TT games(currently) as I mostly paint but your sculpts look absolutely stellar. You should be very proud of you and your team's hard work.
@@zenny1337 Blkout is one 2 TT games I have been able to play this year, and it was genuinely some of the most fun I have had in a LONG while. Kudos to your ENTIRE team.
I ordered the 2 player starter set for Blkout on Christmas Day and I’m so excited to get Into it. I’ve been looking to create a campaign story to play as well!
You pronounced “BUER” perfectly! We are so honored to be on your award list and are huge fans of yours! We have a lot more coming for 1490 Doom in 2025. Thank you!!
I know you don't nominate your own stuff, but Deth Wizards was definitely my favourite skirmish game of 2024! Hope you had a great Christmas, looking forward to what's coming up in 2025. Oh, and you may just have nudged me to getting a Bambu A1 too - good job!
Best game of the year imho. Quick, easy to play solo or with friends, low cost, great campaign system with lots of upgrades to make “winning” matter. Absolutely everything I was looking for
I’d like to award Uncle Atom as my favorite channel of the year. You’ve really turned me on to a ton of cool stuff this year and I thank you for it. As a Patreon too because everyone likes food, shelter and clothing. But as for game of the year, that goes to Armoured Clash by Warcradle. Between that, Legions Imperialis and Mantic’s Epic entry next year I’m really digging the titanic struggles of the tiny! Happy New Years to everyone!
OPR GF 3.4 gets an honorary award from me. Great rules update, the introduction of Star Quest, and the new push to push the game in front of more people... giant leaps for a great game that' really taking hold.
I happen to like your choices.. BLKOUT is a game I am into as well. I like the 2x2 battlefields and the more tactical feel of the game. I am looking at the bambo printer now, I have an ender 3. I am not much into the theme behind Trench Crusade, but I can see how it is causing a big ruckus in the tabletop market... and I wish them much success. that 1490 Doom game I need to check out, looks awesome, and I like the concept. I will add a game because you wont, but DETH WIZARD is an awesome game and on my list for awards this year! Thanks for your reviews and all the content this year.. hope to see much more in 2025!
The creeping death from 1490 Doom sounds like a great metaphor for my last paint session-slowly suffocating under too much ambition and not enough primer.
BFG was great for the targeting. The stem of the base was the size of the ship. The model was just for looks. You can play the game with pins with coloured balls on the end.
I know a guy who's really into Titanfall and COD and fps games like that. I think he'd be into BLKOUT. Makes a good intro for people to get into tabletop skirmish games. Love the channel, thanks for all the content.
My personal favourite of the year has to be the Great Goblin Argle Bargle. Deth Wizards was a major win for the community also. Spent a lot of time advising people on how to source various undead etc.
I would also recommend "Marcher - Empire at Wars" from Golden Dragon Games. Its a nice mix of Dieselpunk and WW2 and uses a system of actions your Units can do. They also produce their own models on MMF. There is also already a lot of Worldbuilding going on. Just recently they had a big update on their rules.
I've liked rouge warriors skirmish due to their flexibility for solo and competitive play as well as their numerous modules and onenpage rules, new fantasy quests, and star quest. Again, for flexibility and truly diverse play with all the different factions. The last indie ones i would say are mass brutality and brutal epic from scott wainwright. Play is fast, both games are miniature agnostic, and the rules are simple, but gameplay is always different. Love the flexibility of character creation and the different modes of play you can do. Really allows you to put some old models back on the table and find new life. All the brutality series play close to the core rules of brutality skirmish, so it's quick to go from any of his other games
Games I enjoyed this year: - OPR Regiments - OPR Grimdark - WHU old style (up to Beastgrave) - The Silver Bayonet - Necromunda - Deth Wizards - M13 - Moonstone - Saga in campaign mode - 40k 3rd edition - AoS Spearhead Disappointments: - Old World - new Age of Sigmar Don't poke even with a stick: - any new 40k Will try next year: - Middle Earth - Song of Ice and Fire - Trench Crusade - Mutant Year Zero Zone Wars Happy gaming!
I think that "This Quar's War, Clash of Rhyfles", a joint project between Zombiesmith Miniatures and Wargames Atlantic should have gotten a mention. It's small scale, quirky, and a great addition to the hobby. It's been selling really well as folks discover the 'verse.
I just wanted to say thank you. I don't remember when I first came across one of your videos, but I have liked them for a while now. I have come to respect your opinion and agree with it most of the time. 🙂 I hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. 🎉
I am so intrigued about 1490 Doom! I watched a video and I will be buying this. I checked their store, but they have ebook. Do they have a printed option or do I need to do that on my own?
Great choices all. My personal #1 would be Midgard Heroic Battles a historic/legendary/fantasy wargame that's miniatures+scale agnostic. Very simple rules that allow complex interactions and a beautiful full colour layout.
Shout out to Relicblade by Metalking Studios, truly a master class on growing the brand without killing gameplay or saturating it with minis (even if its mini agnostic). the new Cursebreaker game is very fun, and does not subtract from the other game modes.
Halo Flashpoint is my GOTY. Even when on a losing streak the gameplay is so fun and engaging I'm always excited to play another round. Here's to another great year of wargaming! Thanks for sharing!
Your last weeks video has me already starting to save up for my own Bamboo labs. A friend of mine has been keeping up with the FDM printer space and just upgraded to their current models and he swears by Bamboo labs printers as well, I think it's time for me to bite the bullet and shift my interests to bigger printing for a while.
Midgard Heroic Battles - not rank and flank. More like a more realistic medieval battle. No faction- or unit-specific rules, just a number of traits that you can assign to a unit that give it the flavour. Think Drilled for your guard units that ensures you move forward each turn or Hel's Breath for certain missile units (cannon for instance) that make a target unit roll a command test or retreat half a move if it takes hits. I have played Orcs vs Dwarves and had a great game that was over in 5 turns because the Dwarves chewed through a weak flank of the orc battle line and caused the orcs to give up before their heavy hitters got into the fight - Hel's Breath slowed the orc centre enough.
This Quar's War: Fun, inexpensive, skirmish, starts on a 2 X 2, set turns for time limits optional, and kit bashable. figures and/or vehicles my preference is the 28mm version.
Don't know if I would call it an "award winner" but being a historical gamer I was impressed by Battlefronts "Clash of Steel" in 2024. Well, being a historical gamer I first thought: "What the hell is that?" But now I think it is a good entry product to get people into wargaming - if they like tanks. These paper panzers, prototyps and low production numbers tanks are fun. The new models are great. And the alternate history timeline gives people who worry about playing WW2 the chance to get into it. The rules are FoW but tanks only + some upgrade cards for your tanks and new rules for objectives. Because you have to build the tanks yourself that may be a fence a beginner has to climb over. But therefore the prize of the starter boxes is a blast. Good for the hobby I think.
I got a lot of Bolt Action minis this year. I also painted built/painted some Stargrave Troopers and they were great! Definitely going to be picking up some more. BLKOUT looks cool too. And the Halo minis. I might pick some up. Oh and Team Yankee
I think you previewed a skirmish type game where you have operatives that clear rooms. It's been driving me crazy for months. Another great video. Thank you
Happy new year Adam. Pleasure to watch each and every week this year. That is as dressed up as I would ever like to get for the rest of my life. But I am sure that I will need a shirt with a collar again someday. Thanks for your time and wisdom 😊
Ah yes, I know of all these games and already...... Doom you say? Small quick brutal game where you toss each other off a building? Dangit (*pulls out wallet*) Thanks again Uncle Atom
I like the rules a lot - I’ve had to play against myself to learn the rules and use all proxy models and proxy terrain since it came out pretty recently, but I want to convince Sam or my wife to play actually against me in 2025, after I kitbash some Doom Companies. I generally lose more when I play against others tho. Thanks for watching!
Did you ever play Battlefleet Gothic? Fantastic game in the lore I love and lives on today Tons of miniatures stl or prints For me it’s the biggest missing part of 40K games Almost all games have cinematic openings with ships and the books talk about amazing space battles.
I know its not your vibe but my absolute winner this year is Mike Hutchinson's Hobgoblin. Amazing fast paced rank n flank fantasy that has converted a few anti rank n flank friends of mine
When you said that Grandma Wendy was on the list I was hoping for Underworlds version 2 as it's a decent tidy up of the blotted behemoth from version 1.
The gentleman who sculpted the GW terrain pieces you like is called Colin Grayson, who I had the pleasure of working with whilst I was in the design studio. He's a lovely bloke, who made some very characterful and detailed models, and was in my opinion criminally under appreciated whilst he was there.

I checked the game out and definitely want to play it. Is it only ebook?
@@Gdad_Cliff Right now yes... but we are getting ready for our kickstarter this spring with physical books, minis, etc!

Fully agree, Deth wizards is awesome, and IMO better than some you've mentioned. Glad you mentioned 1490 Doom too - another awesome game.
The Bambu A1 is a gateway drug to 3d printing. Beware.
The Wizards of the Deth were definitely awesome!

There are a few games that I missed in this award list. Thank you and happy new year.
It’s kind of hilarious how excited I get when I see that t-shirt. “Oh the Tabletop Minions Award video, yay!”
Took me awhile to find it. Turns out I have A LOT of black t-shirts. Thanks for watching!
My big win of this year wasn't a particular product, but finally embracing oil washes as a painting technique. What a game changer.
Blkout has become one of my favorite games. Definitely my top game of 2024
Thanks to your video on BLKOUT I became very interested in this game. The order to me is already flying! Thanks to you!
BLKOUT is fantastic! Moved to it after kill team. Delivers exactly what it promises.
OPR GF 3.4 gets an honorary award from me. Great rules update, the introduction of Star Quest, and the new push to push the game in front of more people... giant leaps for a great game that' really taking hold.
The only awards that matter
Always love seeing your year-end awards. I'm definitely going to check out 1490 Doom
Congrats to all the winners! Really looking forward to BLKOUT and really pricing a Bambu printer. Have a great rest of your year! See you next year!
BLKOUT reminds me of Titanfall 2; especially the mechs. Might order some miniatures just to paint them.
Definitely big Pilot vibes from some of those minis
Check out Arsenal

I bought a fortified manor for like $500 on eBay years ago. Bittersweet seeing it return 😂

Congratulations to all the winners of 2024! I liked how Necromunda suddenly became popular this year. A vote for GW from me.

Games I enjoyed this year:

- OPR Grimdark
- WHU old style (up to Beastgrave)
- The Silver Bayonet
- Necromunda
- Deth Wizards
- M13
- Moonstone
- Saga in campaign mode
- 40k 3rd edition
- AoS Spearhead
Disappointments:
- Old World
- new Age of Sigmar
Don't poke even with a stick:
- any new 40k
Will try next year:
- Middle Earth
- Song of Ice and Fire
- Trench Crusade
- Mutant Year Zero Zone Wars
Happy gaming!

Oh my gosh! The Old World Fortified Manor house is my absolute favorite terrain piece of all time, and I’m so glad I can finally get my hands on it…
Happy Christmas and I hope you have a great new year. Thank you for commitment and all of your hard work. Much appreciated:)
Great video, as always, Unc.
Thanks for another year of exceptional content. Still one of the best around.
Thanks for another year of great content and bringing attention and awareness to some of the lesser known games out there!
Lol, I LOVED Star Fleet Command computer game back in the day. It was years before I found out it was a tabletop game.
1490 Doom WooWoo so good...
Than i would say: Alien Zoology, Innocence & Adventure Quest all super fun Indiewargames!
Ahjo & Forbidden Psalm so rad!
I need an award for finishing building the hivestorm Vespid models
Definitely agree on the Bambu printers. Even the A1 mini does a good job on minis. 😁
I wonder if that’s why they call it that? Thanks for watching!
Big thanks from your followers in Australia.

I hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. 🎉
All excellent mentions. I'd second Deth wizards as one of my games of the year. I'm painting some of the TC minis now - lovely sculpts
I splurged a bit and got the Bambu Labs P1S when my Flashforge died in June. I've been very happy with it.
WHOOO GO BLKOUT! Love that game

We don’t have a physical book yet but will this spring with an upcoming Kickstarter! Thank you!
Really love your videos! Thanks for your effort all year long! Happy 2025!
Great choices all. My personal #1 would be Midgard Heroic Battles a historic/legendary/fantasy wargame that's miniatures+scale agnostic. Very simple rules that allow complex interactions and a beautiful full colour layout.
My family picked up an A1 Mini on sale and it's been fantastic for printing terrain, vehicles, and even miniatures! Incredibly easy to use
For me the best game of the year is the N5 of Infinity the game, can't wait to play next month.
Anyone think Five Parsecs: Tactics deserves a spot on the list?
For some reason I’ve heard nothing substantial about tactics. Reviews are mostly about the book and not about having played the game.
I haven’t even heard of it. I’ll have to look at it. Thanks for watching!

I bought Battlefront Vakyrie and am printing it up now. Look forward to playing.
It's a great time to be in - or get into - this hobby!
I have not long had my Bambu but i went with the P1S. Not upgraded my nozzle yet but im about too 👍
This Quar's War: Fun, inexpensive, skirmish, starts on a 2 X 2, set turns for time limits optional, and kit bashable. figures and/or vehicles my preference is the 28mm version.
Clicking the like on your videos is the only exercise routine I am consistent with. 😂. Have a great 2025!
I'm suffering from game overload, just too many to play. BLKOUT is very near the top of my want list, not sure how I haven't picked it up yet.

Good grief. Is it that time of year already?!
I got a lot of Bolt Action minis this year. I also painted built/painted some Stargrave Troopers and they were great! Definitely going to be picking up some more.
BLKOUT looks cool too.
And the Halo minis. I might pick some up.
Oh and Team Yankee
Thank you for all you do! Looking forward to more wargaming in 2025!!
I love the channel, thank you for your content. I would love to see your thoughts on Maladum.

Another great video. Thank you
i just realised i have a age of sigmar terrain set that is identical to the garden of morr wh fantasy set you showed
It isn't a new game, but I got into Malifaux in 2024 & it's been basically the perfect miniature game for me.
Happy new year Adam. Pleasure to watch each and every week this year. That is as dressed up as I would ever like to get for the rest of my life. But I am sure that I will need a shirt with a collar again someday. Thanks for your time and wisdom 😊

I love your stuff so I am beating the algorithm into submission for you. Happy gaming.
I'm thinking Old World terrain would be just fine for AOS too. Heck, some AOS terrain works with 40K. I'm all about repurposed terrain. Great video!
