    Super excited to try this tent this week in the Rockies. I've never used a non freestanding tent. What an awesome design and pack weight.

    Those magnetic straps are awesome. I have a question: how is ‘Li’ pronounced? I always hear people just say the letters but it looks like it should be pronounced like ‘Lee’.

    • @tarptent
      @tarptent  2 роки тому

      Around here we pronounce it as "El Eye" but "Li" is short for Lithium so it really doesn't matter.

      @@tarptent awesome, thanks for the info! I’m enthusiastic about proper pronunciations and there are some oddly pronounced brand names out there, like cnoc. Lol

      Yes, it is very strong assuming your stakes hold.

    Any tips on how to setup the tent in windy conditions? While hiking Loowit trail around Mt. St. Helens WA on Plains of Abraham, I struggled a lot in gusty weather. The ground was sandy and the stakes wouldn't stick. Had to use rocks to tie down the tent.

      You need longer stakes with better purchase in volcanic soil.

    Really wish my MSR Groundhog stakes would fit through the rings. Sometimes, conditions are such that Easton Nails or shepherd hooks won't cut it.

    • @tarptent
      @tarptent  5 років тому +6

      Just add a cord loop, tied to the ring, and stake through the cord loop.

    Too bad the first batch sold out in a day. Perhaps I'll look at ordering one with the next release.

      The first batch sold out in a day and the second batch sold out within 5 minutes! And crashed our website!! We're so flattered and we'll have more tents available in April. Stay tuned!

    Great tent. Just want to know if there's only one elastic cord to lift up the tub floor. Can see the one on the side. I thought another 1 at the foot end and head end would be needed or not ?
