20" ride cymbal 😲
Finally! Ralf on the EFNOTE 7!! Wow, these drums sounds “EFFING” awesome. I wish I had the $ for it. I love the dry, unprocessed sounds, so natural. If you dabble in recording, you can really make use of this thing. EFNOTE brings it.

This is the first kit I’ve heard that sounds better than the ATV AD5 - brilliant kit!

Seems like a really nice kit. I think it looks way better than the Roland kits. However for that price I'd expect more than just 2 toms.

I've heard some of the greats like Cobham and Paice try out electronic kits and to be honest, the results weren't that great, but Ralph seems comfortable with and excels on both electric and acoustic drums !

I know I'll get slayed on here, but for the purpose of demonstration, I'd love for Ralph to tone it down on the double strokes and turbo triplets: makes it difficult to hear tone/timbre, etc. Yes, you're an amazing e-drummer, but this is as close as most of us will ever get to demoing one of these products given the scarcity/supply chain issues.
Can’t wait to see the kits you guys come up for with this module. It sounds great as-is but lacks “weight” in a lot of the drum sounds which is the only drawback to my ears
I have the 5. I noticed that too. What I did was bump up the low end on the EQ and add in some ambience. The kits now have a lot more body.
Man it´s hard. In the morning it´s Efnote, after lunch Td-50 and later Mimic and cheaper modules with Vst drop in. Life is hard

Great play and sound! How noise is when you play with headphones, you can practice in a flat?

Any clue if and when EF-Note will release the 7X. Also, do you have any idea of the financial condition of the company - I’m very interested in the 7 or hopefully soon to be 7 X but not if the company is unstable or going out of business. A lot of their products appear proprietary so spending good money on a kit that in short order won’t be supported is worrisome.

Had my eyes on this kit for quite a while since it has some naturally sounding triggers. Is it worth upgrading if i own a roland td27kv?
Hard to tell, both are different "beasts" :) I love EFNOTE for their natural sounds & smooth playing, yet the Roland triggering / digital pads / positional sensing etc is unsurpassed playability- and triggering-wise in my opinion.
Another nice option might be to upgrade yor Roland kit with some nice authentic pads (bd mostly, that KD-10 is really not a bass drum & it's LOUD) :-D

How do you feel this module compares to the EF Note 5? Do you notice the quality is any better or is it just a matter of more sounds and features on the 7?
Hi Matthew, that's hard to tell, it's been a while since I did the 5 demo now.
Both kits play/trigger great "out of the box" (which I find super important). The 7's bigger pads feel a lot more "solid" for sure. While the 5 is a great kit too, I probably wouldn't recommend it for rock probably, it's just so small & cute ;) and it feels that way too when playing, more of a jazzy/funky jam kit.
The 7 on the other hand has the 20/14/11/15 sizes and even the 20" ride, which is pretty outstanding I think. When it comes to the modules, I would probably have to go more "in depth" to be able to comment on the question (which I haven't done until now honestly). Kind regards!

With some other Ekits, I'm thinking of the Alesis strike kits, there's certain Kita where it sounds electronic, as you hit the hihat, a baseline will play. Seemed like a great option for making practice more fun. Does this kit have anything like that? Or is it just the acoustic sounds?

The DTX Pro module only works well with mesh pads that do not have a center trigger, like the drum-tec Jam NG / ATV pads:

Mesh pads with a center trigger have a too high output signal for the DTX Pro Sound module unfortunately. Kind regards!

ich glaube es gibt leichte unterschiede das modul wird auch als 3x modul betitelt dachte man kann vlt durch ne sounddemo hören ob es klangliche unterschiede gibt anyway ich komm ausm saarland und wollte eh mal nen termin in mainz machen👍

@@voederbietels In EZDrummer 3, the ATV aDrums preset worked nicely. I just had to remap the tom rims when I used the EFNOTE3X:

Das ist ein toller kit aber für so viel geld zahlt das sich nicht aus. Meiner Meinung nach der Roland VAD 503 oder sogar der 506 ist ein besser wahl und bietet viel mehr als efnote. Und noch was, die Größe von den Toms ist wirklich blöd, die meisten mesh head hersteller machen keine Mesh heads für 11 und 15 Zoll.
