Nice work! I love the tape resist! I tried one where I taped, coated the piece with Stroke & Coat, then waxed and took off the tape. Then I waxed with a contrasting color. It turned out okay, but not as crisp as I would have liked. I'll try again. Yours turned out beautiful!
Great Kiln opening again! Make sure you get strike anywhere matches! I have made that mistake before. Beautiful taping job! The planter on the end is just so beautiful! Congrats!
Love the matchstick holder. Great idea for the striker. On the burch/w flux/cordovan cups. How much w flux did you use. You said 1 coat. Was it all over or ? Thanks And i could hear you just fine. Allen
Thank you! And yes it was almost all over. I did birch all the way to the bottom, light flux stopped an inch above that, then cordovan stopped an inch above the flux.
Hey girllll! Omg I’m not stalking you I promise but this just came up and I clicked on it!! Sorry I missed it live. I can’t believe how perfect your tape lines are!! These are just gorgeous!! As always of course.
I’m so glad you had mentioned how badly satin patina flows when layered! I did that for the first time on a large planter and it flowed off like a landslide!! Thankfully I had put a kiln stilt under it.
Nicely done!!!! That tape resist technique is awesome :-)
Thank you so much!
