Every time someone likes this comment, I’ll be reminded of this video❤
My first thought was “wow her music is incredible and she’s really good at editing” you and Dan are a dream team. This video was helpful and soothing to watch
What a wonderful video! So calming and well produced! I was actually surprised to see you don't have a larger following already! I did get your video randomly recommended on my homepage, so I hope it means the algorithm is giving you a chance to shine. Keep doing what you do, it's a joy to watch!
Thank you so much, that is so encouraging! 🥰We're super happy that you're here and that this was a joy to watch!
What clay! Such beautiful color it had in it's raw state I am absolutely mesmerized about the earth underneath us and the large variety it holds. I've been wanting to do this too for a long time, this summer perhaps I'll do it after seeing your super easy furnace that you can leave overnight like, aaa. genius.
And oh, almost forgot, not only was the clay wonderful but your creation too, seemingly perfect for it's cause. Love the mountains on it, not too much, not too little just *chefs kiss*
I'm a yarn and fiber artist and have a great appreciation for handmade products. I really enjoyed watching the process of how you create pottery 😍 So relaxing 😌 😎 😊 ❤
Your voice is so soothing. So calm
Wow, everything about this video was beautiful, calming, and mesmerizing! ❤
This is only the second video from your channel that I have ever watched, and I am amazed that you know how to do things like forage wild berries that are actually edible or make beautiful vessels from wild clay. I feel completely inadequate when I see you do these things, but your videos are so well done and cozy that I subscribed. I cannot wait to see more. Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely experiment!! We look forward to more of this!! Thank you for sharing!
As a fellow Potter i loved the vibe more than anything else ❤
I would love more videos like this and the process of collecting clay
this is the most beautiful video I’ve ever watched😭 genuinely. So moving and calming. Thank you
That is so soo kind! Thank you, we appreciate you! 🤍
I just have to learn pottery, asked my grandma to teach me and she just told me how. Started crying crying because I didn't know how. This video helped so much thank you
The water part had me laughing. That was amazing. You are amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you so much.
Awesome video! Your voice is very relaxing and seeing these steps were soooo helpful!
Im absolutely in LOVE with your videos! Your Pottery Work is so beautiful 🥰!
Thank you so much, that is really kind! 🥰
I loved this video! I loved that you foraged and formed your own clay pots. And that your partner makes all the music for your videos!
Excellent channel muzukuru. Loving this
Both very talented people, I enjoy watching you’ll ❣️ Your music calms me, and I love Clay & what you make with it; Art🥰💗
I really feel modern crafts men and women are selling the public a piece of nature and a expression of it we lost within our modern civilisation and I’m all for it ❤
I think if you placed the pots on bricks and covered them with a metal bucket you'd avoid the char! so insipiring to see another black person getting into the woods and the earth
I would love to see how you forage clay! I never knew that was even possible 😍
I feel like I found a gem finding your channel. Great vibes and attitude :)
Beautiful video - you have inspired me to try making something from ‘wild’ clay and fire it in a home made kiln! 🤞 🏺
UA-cam recommended me your channel and I am here for this!! I love your personality cracking me up over here 😂 and I love pottery! I am a beginner so I can't wait to get more into it.
Thank you so much! 💛
Honestly this is amazing
It’s 11:00pm in Florida, can’t sleep and UA-cam recommended your channel. I love it, new subscribers. 😊
You have such a lovely voice and mannerism. I really enjoyed watching your process and all the little artistic and beautiful things you included throughout the video. I would really love to see what the clay looks like once fired! Thank you for your time in making this video. :)
oh my god this is one og the best things ive ever seen on youtube!! The video, the music, the landscape, the animals, your voice, your art, your patience!!! This is art in many many many forms. Thank you so much!
I need Dans music on Spotify pls!
Food for the algorithm. May it's blessings be upon you
Hi there, thanks so much for sharing this! We have had some massive flooding and slips here in NZ and there is literally wild clay everywhere that has been cleared from roads and properties. I'm keen to have a go at processing some of it. How did your firing tests go? Any chance you could share about the Temps you used? Cheers, Lexi
Oh man I just found some clay on my farm I have the feeling I'm about to become obsessed with this clay shizz.
Beautiful video thank for sharing,,
Very nicely put together your video. Beautiful colour that wild clay you processed
Your voice is so calming!❤
It looks beautiful, I just love the color. May I know at what cone did you fire the clay in the kiln.
"Then I decided to pit fire it." OH yeah, I'm subscribing. This woman is awesome.
Do you add temper to your clay? If you like watching other people work with wild clay, you may want to check out
Andy Ward's Ancient Pottery I enjoy watch him as well.
I came across some clay in my backyard while trying to start a garden. I was wondering how to go about using it so thanks for this. ❤
Lovely video. Darling pots!
I wild harvest. Lots of work, totally worth it.
Very nice and suggestive video! Greetings from an italian collegue ;-)
Can I skip the part where you throw water on the floor?
Never mind! That step is complete!
Awwwww I love your energy and your boyfriends (husbands?) music !!!
I'm so glad I found you! This is the simplest and clearest video explanation I've found on how to process wild clay. Youre amazing and so is your work!🙏🏾🩵
Incredible video. Luv the music and luv the natural clay !!!
Just checking I heard right, did you say you sieve the clay 100 times?
That’s so clever and how satisfying to make a beautiful and useful pot from the clay in the ground. Wonderful ❤
Very soothing and artistically pleasing video, y’all both are so talented 👏🏾👏🏾
Beautiful vid and music. Thanks for documenting and posting!
How can I fire wild clay at home? Would appreciate some advice pleaseee😊
Hey, I absolutely love your videos, they are so peaceful and calming!!
I was wondering are you guys followers of Christ?
Could you make a piece where you take a big huge ball of clay, and jam it in your yapper and leave it there forever? Because shut up, nobody cares
Mutsa, would it not be easier to strain the clay through the sieve if you added more water to it? It would take longer to dry, but pouring it through the sieve instead of laboriously pushing it through like you show yourself doing would save a lot of work and tedium.
the next time i drink from a clay mug I'll show it more respect and love
I remember hearing that you need to temper your clay with sand if you do the technique in the video

I love winter... It's my chance to get away and do my art.
hey there Mutsa, thanks for posting your process. I am starting to harvest wild clay, and I'm wondering if you could give me a hint on where to find it and or how to know which substrates are suitable for this process?
I live in a mountainous region with some lakes and rivers. I've collected some samples of stuff that looks like mud , but sometimes it ends up drying into more sandy material. Your hints would be super valuable. Thanks :)
Hmmm, I use a lot more water, enough so that the sand and stones sink to the bottom. I pour off the liquid then I add a flocculant to settle the clay, and discard the water and other gunge. Then the rest of the process is very similar.
Lovely video! I throw pottery but never tried ‘natural’ clay. Fascinating to watch… have you had many kiln explosions?
Oh i just love the aesthetic of your video, the music, your narration.. it's all so beautifully calming❤ also, beautiful pots! I love them! I just gathered some clay from my sisters house where we had to dig a hole and i'm really excited to try to make the clay usable so i can create something with my nieces❤ your video was very helpful😊 thank you so very much❤
Thanks for sharing this. My friends and I just collected a handful of wild clay and we’re excited to start working with it! This video was very insightful for my next steps.
I live in Michigan and it’s so interesting how the earthenware here is grey/grayish-blue/grayish-green. Not a lot of iron in this clay resulting with a look not like the classic red or orange earthenware!
Hello I beeen watching videos of processing wild clay and people add stuff like sand or broken bricks made In Piwder or other temper I guess they called but I didn’t see you add anything. So the question is why? I. Asking since I have a lot of wild clay in my area and I will like to make something like plates and cups. Thank you in advance
What turning speed do you use for your wheel? On camera it looked somewhat extreme. Thank you.
Hi Im an artist in Atlanta, GA USA ... I loved this segment Im a potter also and want to try wild clay here called Lizella clay. I also enjoy watching your journey. Are you still in the Netherlands?
Hi! Love your work..Do you add anything to your clay you get from outdoors? Like sand?
Your videos are so satisfying and take me faaar away in peace ! Love
For pit firing any idea to prevent smoke color from attaching my piece? To be clear without smoke stain???
I'm returning from a January walk with a bucket of wild clay. Let's see what I can make out of it.
Omg I’m so glad a stumbled onto your Chanel! But how do you find the clay? Like how do you identify what is clay and what is soil?
great video! what a lovely way to connect with the season while most of nature sleeps.
Just found your channel and I love your energy
Really glad I found your videos! Also noticed how much I love the music and so cool to find out it was dan!
Where I live, I have red clay and it’s always wet always sometimes yellow either way it’s full of plant matter and rocks but it’s always pliable just that stuff is in the way. I’m not sure how to mess with it. It’s everywhere.
Why did you say you were nervous cause of how badly it went the first time? This isn’t the first time you threw is it? I’ve been wheelthrowing for many years now. It took me a long time just to get pieces centered. And even though I’ve done it for many years I still struggle especially with bringing up the walls and getting even thickness in the walls. Doing ceramics is supposed to be enjoyable and stress free. Not for me much as I love it. Cause my anxiety gets in the way. I so loving watching you and everyone else when starting out piece centering opening etc. and how you all do it so fast.
I alway see clay where I live and I keep thinking I could make a pinch pot with it ❤
Here because me and my family found some clay at the lake yesterday, now we know what to do next time
Hello, I noticed you didn't us a temper. Is that clay naturally tempered or does it even matter if it's tempered? I found this beautiful, pink, wild clay in a creek on one of my hikes and I'm very excited to attempt a craft.
🎉 impressive! Thanks for sharing your work!
You could use a pain strainer bag from the hardware store, and pour all your sloppy clay in there.
Or, use a plastic scraper on your screen, rather than using your hand.
If we not glaze them but just klin it, it's still safe for the food? ( i wan't to do pottery at home and j don't have glazer)
Your comment section rocks! So positive! Your editing skills are great and I learned a lot from your video. Thanks and God bless. ❤
Just got recommended your vids by youtube. Loving it ❤❤
I want to get back into pottery but I'd have to wear gloves because I hate the way it makes my hands feel
Really love the music. Omg! The video is awesome too! ❤
Which part of the country is this we are looking for something like this too
What is the reason behind coming out burned? And is there a way to avoid that?
You could crush the dried clay to powder and sieve it before you add water. You'd need to wear a protective mask, but it's much less messy.
I subscribed instantly, this is great content, keep it up ❤
Omg I want more music by Dan. Could put me right to sleep 🩷
How do you check to see if it is high fire or low fire without damaging your kiln?
When u press like on a video at the start and then want to be able to press like again haha! Loved this video 🥰😄
Soothing fresh and authentic❤️❤️❤️
