A couple extra tips here for both Splash Wall and Brella players to be mindful of:
- If the Tenta Brella is using Object Shredder, it actually wins this matchup and I have seen some people advocate for OS on Tent for specifically this reason. It only barely wins though, so it's still a reliable way to pile on damage.
- For all Brellas, the brella canopy will destroy the Splash Wall with no damage if it makes contact before the Splash Wall hits the ground. This is most relevant to Tent and especially Recycle, since you'll have to predict the movement of their launched shields to avoid spending 60% of your ink tank for nothing.
Though Curling Bomb is indeed a bomb, it's more often than not used less for being a bomb and far more for the movement utility, which along with it having the somewhat niche mechanic of charging it, makes it specifically feel like it *could* be a good fit for a "utility" sub guide; based on the assumption that there should be enough to say about it.
Also very good video once again. Always love seeing these pop up.
i killed someone with a splash wall yesterday :)
:)
another tip for the gloogas!! you can roll, throw wall, and then roll again, providing extra movement options and more poking options for them :3
Great series!! I keep coming back to watch some of them because it gives me hope for the meta staying experimental and diverse, and they remind me how much you can get out of these more unique options. Thank you so much for making all of these videos!!
I was not sure if that was Object Shredder swig but a max damage vert flick on swig with obj shredder one taps wall as long as there is no spu. Also amazing series!
This series is so well done. It's crazy you actually got through all of it, great job man!
On the Lemuria Hub moving platforms the splash wall will paint the ground underneath the platforms. I could see this having a couple interactions with allowing weapons to shark behind the moving platform or allow the rainmaker to trail the platform more easily.
Also if anyone is looking for those ledge spots for splash wall, you can do it on the edge of a tower which could be useful if you want to protect your backside or are moving forward and want to keep your tower rider safe for a short period.
With how informative this series was, I kind of wish we had some bonus shorts or something on all the other mechanics that don’t exactly focus on dealing damage, like the almost-utility-sub curling bomb; or what about expanding to specials and covering screen and chumps like you did with ink-vac?
I’m sure you have your own plans, but I do hope you keep making informative content in the future :)
Great series and video, nice deflux clips! 🏹 🦈
Absolutely loved this series. super well done and fun to watch, and I learned a lot of tricks even after playing the game for so many years. Keep it up, and get well soon!
