The comment that Sloan is a legend wasn't about his penis. It was about him sleeping with a lot of women, and whomever fractured his penis has done something no other woman had done to him. In a sense, she's outdone a legend.
Anyone else know that blooper/deleted scene from this episode when Derek can’t stop laughing about Mark’s condition? I don’t even know if it was supposed to be in the episode or if Patrick Dempsey just couldn’t stay serious, but it’s so funny.
@renamalik I really appreciate your reaction to them making jokes about the condition. I really wish we as a society would stop making jokes around conditions that affect the penis or testicles. It creates stigma and can result in pateints not seeking the care they need due to fear of embarrassment. It's really important that we be more supportive about conditions such as this.
Rena, I love the way you describe things! I was born with spina bifida and I have a neurogenic bladder (at least, what I’ve heard). When you talk about cystoscopies and retrograde urethrograms, it reminds me of when I had these done. I know it sounds weird but I love watching the cystoscope go through and seeing all the different features. When I get urodynamics done, I always ask if I can help because i was raised having them done every year so I know the entire routine. I get a cystoscopy done once a year now because I have a false passage in my urethra almost at the base of the opening for my bladder that was found when trying to do a urodynamics

Your channel is absolutely fascinating to me and I have learned so much that I didn't even know I needed to learn. This episode hits so close to home it's not even funny LOL. Because of my deformity, 25 * 14 cm I have suffered penis fractures thousands of times literally. When I was in high school I would do it myself just to get rid of the erection and didn't think I was doing any damage. I have had my doctor checked me for hernias several times and he says I don't have a hernia but now I think it might be all of those penile fractures.
Please react to Love, Loss and Legacy, where Catherine Fox (the urologist) does a penile transplant. Btw, I just found your channel and I love it, as a female lawyer is it always cool to see smart women in different fields and professions.
A few years ago I was working in an I.C.U. as nurse and there were 2 ambulance operators who used to come down once a day to tell us the funniest or wierdest cases and I remember one day when 3 different people arrived with a penile fracture! And it was a small hospital... one of them told he tripped on the dog and another one said he fell from a wardrobe dressed as Batman...

Mewesical oh yeah, you’re right. Watching someone give birth must be so hard. You are starring at it for so long. The occasional blink must hurt so badly. And don’t talk about all the damn stretching. It’s so hard to sit and watch someone give birth. Nothing like someone actually giving birth. That person’s pain is nothing compared to the people around them just “watching”. Are you tired from watching so many babies born? When do you sleep? Dumbass 😆 😆 😆
Maggie Naidoo she most likely doesn’t watch the show so she wouldn’t have any back story to know that. In the medical side, she is right about needing to call an urologist and not an orthopedist. Lets be nice!
Wow, Dr. Malik is one smart and very attractive doctor 😍 lol my mother loves this show. I stopped watching these shows since E.R. years ago, they make me anxious and paranoid. Just hearing about this sounds painful, and has to suck while healing especially if you're in the mood. Good to know about the crazy positions, surprised porn stars don't get hurt more to be honest.
Great vids! Do you have one about blood clots in the urine and how they form? I had them recently, not painful, but very strange and very alarming. Of course there was quite a bit of blood - gross hematuria, seeing urologist about it.
I think in Grey's anatomy, there are no urologist surgeons. It's all trauma, cardio, Neuro, Ortho, general, peds, and obygn. These are all the ones I have seen.
Great video! I'd love to hear your opinion on oral phentolamine mesylate (formerly known as Vasomax): it is an excellent ED and PE ejaculation treatment but it is not FDA approved and it is not available in the US and Europe, I wonder why. It is, however, widely available in China and other countries. Phentolamine is not Viagra, it is an entirely different drug (alpha blocker) that is safe and effective. Shouldn't ED sufferers have access to this treatment?
I'm not sure why oral phentolamine is not approved, from what I gather it's due to lack of rigorous scientific studies. It is a component of trimix and bimix intracavernosal injections.
@@RenaMalikMD Maybe Pfizer and other big pharma companies don't like the competition. I have tried oral phentolamine and it works, it should be available in the west.

That's strange since most urologists just check blood markers for infection and cancer, in bladder or prostate, give antibiotics or other pills and the only surgery is prostate reduction that makes about 1% of the time of the year.
