Manchester is a city in southern New Hampshire, United States. It is the most populous city in northern New England (the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont). As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 109,565, and, in 2019, the population was estimated to be 112,673.
Manchester is, along with Nashua, one of two seats of New Hampshire's most populous county, Hillsborough County. Manchester lies near the northern end of the Northeast megalopolis and straddles the banks of the Merrimack River. It was first named by the merchant and inventor Samuel Blodgett, namesake of Samuel Blodget Park and Blodget Street in the city's North End. His vision was to create a great industrial center similar to that of the original Manchester in England, which was the world's first industrialized city.
Manchester often appears favorably in lists ranking the affordability and livability of U.S. cities, placing particularly high in small business climate, affordability, upward mobility, and education level.

Thx, I used to live in Manchester as a kid in 80s early 90s. I skateboarded all over the downtown area. I lived off Laurel and Pine. Good old days.

I grew up in Manchester and moved away 20 years ago. Not much has changed in old Manchland.
What made you wanna move? Any advice you'd be willing to share with someone wanting to move from Maine? I feel like there'll definitely be a lot more job opportunities compared to where I am now

It's bigger than I thought it would be. Yet its another very quiet city, with hardly anyone out and about.
That's cuz not a lot of people have money in the downtown area. And some people try to avoid it for the crazy drug addicts that come around

I don't know what you mean by "quiet", it's a bustling region esp in Downtown and before the pandemic.
This is likely early in the morning on Sunday as its usually quite conjested with traffic and people walking around everywhere .
@@courtneydefrancesco7300 No its not lol , people have plenty of money in this area , Manchester has a thriving economy , hell I'm a house painter and I make $2-3000 a week in southern NH as work falls on my lap due to a solid economy . If people are broke they're not working for it .
Elm street is always busy , except before 8 AM or after 11pm it slows down .

Please either say the name of the street you are turning onto (for example, turning east onto Sagamore St.) or time stamp the video with notations of what street you are on. That way we can follow along on a Google Map in a separate window and get a much better sense of the town.

Why do you keep ignoring the Historic District.....If I didn't have a fabulous condo in the Historic District, I would be living in the Historic Dictrict in Portland Maine......a lot of Manchester is poor quality.....
Most of Portland is a dump once you venture away from the tourist district .
