He’s been through some things in his life and yet here he is.. still feeling like he has no idea wth he’s doing, meanwhile the rest of us are looking up to him. Absolutely incredible. I have adored Daveed Diggs for sometime but it only today occurred to me that he could one day be named America's Poet Laureate. When he raps a story like the one where he was handcuffed for absolutely no reason, he evokes in the listener multiple powerful emotions. The listener feels what he (Daveed) felt: astonishment, fear, anger, and shame. Like so many other white Americans pre-Hamilton, I did not think that I could ever see any value in rap music. Now I find myself listening intently to Daveed, and I am moved.

Sounded like most of the speech was literally rapped to us. Dude is insane. He's in my top 5 for sure after only knowing about him after Hamilton on Disney+ 😣😣 And he's in my top 5 for clipping. alone, which I've been violently addicted to for the last couple months. Also love that he's so modest. He's so in-tune with his rap ability and story telling that he sees it as trivial, while we sit there with are jaws stuck open with how he STILL CONTINUES RAPPING AND GIVING A+ STORY TELLING. People talk about underrated and undervalued musical artists, but this dude is FOR SURE one of the biggest ones in my opinion.
Also his movie Blindspotting was so incredible. Everyone needs to know about the brilliant things this man does and works on. Bless Daveed to the highest ability.

I found this video from a video all about all of Daveed Diggs in Hamilton which had a few clips at the end of him outside of the show; On Jimmy Fallon, with his kid on his shoulder, one of the raps in this, dressed as a llama. Those 'everyday moments' while planted in front of an audience, gave a glimpse into just how genuine and amazing Daveed Diggs is. A comment mentioned how he rapped this whole speech and I knew I needed to see it.
While this video was not constant rapping I feel even more amazed and enamoured by his personality and conviction to encourage the progress of a brighter more accepting future. Perhaps everyone need to see this, everyone needs to hear his words both lyrical and not to understand how to look forward to that future, how to appreciate others with empathy and how to bring joy and a smile to our own lives.
Much like his confessions I am not a perfect human, but 'perfect human' doesn't exist. All we can be and what this speech inspires is to be human. I will do my best to be just that, as human as I can.

Is it possible that a written transcript (formatted in non-CC sequence) could be published? Or if a transcript has been written, I'd love to see the link in the description!

13:57 If this had happened after Hamilton and I'd recognised Daveed. I swear I would have started crying and called the cops on that cop.

Keep this energy towards everyone facing police brutality and injustice. No matter the fame behind the person, innocent until proven guilty is what we all deserve.
