Did I really just read comments saying this speech is boring? I have to be honest this was one of the more genuine, numerous, informative speeches I've heard in a long time. being a graduate himself, Lin was able to reference places that were surely close to the graduates hearts. He then got to deliver an impassioned presentation drawing not just from his college career but his professional one. These were a group of very lucky seniors in my opinion.

When he does Hamilton's part he is trying so hard not to get overexcited, and failing miserably.

This held a lot of meaning for me as a senior right now. Wesleyan is ridiculously fortunate to be able to claim him as an alum of theirs.

These kids look so bored. Like they didn't just get a front-row, firsthand preview of the greatest musical to ever exist directly from the man who wrote it. He was reciting it from memory because they had been rehearsing. That was a once in a lifetime gift those kids received.
    I love Lin so much.

I was already analyzing and thinking about how these two characters aproach life, and how its really somewhere inbetween, which is why they both fell flat on thier faces... and then this pops up as recomended. Damn. Miranda is a great writer. Even his underlying themes just wiggle into your brain and stay there. I love it.

It's a good speech but personally I thought the actual speech only begin at 4:15. It's a little out of character for Lin to talk about the party life, like skinny-dipping or walk of shame? Or judge students who took an extra semester and have their parents pay for it because the student loan/scholarship really doesn't work great in the States. Personal opinion tho.
