I love it that in the game Ryder and Big Smoke betrayed Grove Street, but in youtuber made films they are always with CJ, what i always wanted
GInaso yeah in my opinion Rockstar should have let them stay loyal, and the enemies could have been just Tenpenny and Pulaski, the Ballas, jizzy's gang and salvatore leone. At least Ryder, should have stayed loyal since he is treated like a non important minor antagonist after he betrayed Grove Street which didn't give his character justice in my opinion.

it just goes to show how lovable Ryder and Smoke are, I agree that in game Ryder shouldn't have betrayed CJ as it made less sense for him to do so.

Ryder and Cj was close friends back in school days and if you watch some videos about him betraying cj,
CJ never mentioned his name In those scenes. It was always "OH SMOKE"
I guess as others said, rockstar didn't know what to do with ryder so in later stages of the game they made him also betray the Grove.
It's weird and i wished they had left Ryder loyal. Cuz he's a really funny character and was always my favourite of all
This brings back memories.
I remember watching this classic for the first time. I was 8 years old and my dad played it on those new CD‘s. The cast really reprised their roles well and showed what life is like in places like these. One of history‘s best movies and Carl Johnson definitely deserved his Oscar.

@@biggarah11 He was originally supposed to be loyal. There was some issue with his voice actor though, and so they had to quickly make him a traitor. But the original storyline had Ryder stay loyal to the grove, which kinda makes sense, in all honesty. He didn't really have a reason to turn on them.
