As you know buddy finding ruins is super cool! I'd love to go camp near that one on top of the mesa we found a couple years ago that resembled like a lookout post command spot. They sure did know how to build well and you're right, many of them still stand. I was impressed by how many deer I saw. To many to count and I am sure the rain had something to do with it. I got the sticker on Amazon, I will leave the link in the description box. Thanks brother. I will have to say, I have some cool boys and great woman! Cheers.
The Manzanos after the rain have this distinct smell that no other mountain in NM has, I swear. I don't know if it's the type of pine but it smells so sweet, kinda like pineapples almost, I love it! So great to see your family, raising another generation of mountain lovers ❤
I totally agree with you! The pine smells really sweet, and I have pulled off the bark and gotten hints of vanilla. I do love the Manzanos after a rainstorm. I love finding places to camp up there. My boys love being in the mountains. They ask to go camping all the time. Thanks for watching!
Great trip! I'm so far behind on YT watching! That sucks being out in the rain, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Looks like the rest of the evening was perfect and calm. Dinner looked great! "Flip that over, Oooo little burnt... that's okay" haha. Looked good to me! Cheers! Thanks for sharing.
Hey buddy! No worries, I have been behind myself now that my boys are getting older. But I do plan on bring them out camping making new memories and perhaps videos now not being solo all the time haha. Glad you enjoyed the video man! Good always tastes good outdoors even when you overcook it a little haha. Thanks for watching buddy.

Hey Q! This was a good trip all the way around! I love finding places such as this one. New Mexico has them littered throughout different parts of our forest, along with some cool old Native American dwellings as well. I plan on camping at a Native American ruin in the fall or winter that resembles a lookout fort. I found it when I was hunting elk years ago. Man that bottle snuck up on me lol. I had no clue it was there when I was there but it snuck up on me in post editing haha. I love a good steak on the campfire. Thanks for watching buddy. Take care.
Nice to see you getting out. The rainy days stink when you're in them, but they make great content. Living in New Mexico, of course I love green chile on everything, but lately I have been also really enjoying pickled red onions, Italian Calabrian red chiles, Chinese garlic chili oil, and Chinese chili crisp in oil. All of those make great garnishes and flavor enhancers on food that doesn't even have to be the same cuisine style.
Green chile all the way! I agree that a rainy day makes for some nice content, plus it is more adventurous. I'll have to try out the items you mention. I love adding spices and different chilies to my dishes. It's been a while but pickled onions are really good. They make a nice side dish of flavor to a variety of foods. Thanks for watching my friend. Cheers.
Awesome video. You always put a lot into your videos, great narration and scenery. You really take the viewers with you. Good job. I’m always looking forward to the next one.
Nothing beats having a simple night in the forest with my boys and wife. It was the perfect way to wrap up a solo ATV camping trip. Thanks for watching!

I think a crisp marshmallow gives it a nice crust texture for smores. All together, it was a nice trip, and I enjoyed myself on my solo night and, of course, with my wife and boys. Thanks for watching. Take care.
Awesome! Thank you! You can't beat camping on a ATV! I mean, you can, but I love that feeling of cool mountain air freely moving around you as you cruise. I appreciate your support buddy.
Awesome video Ruben. Great to see the whole family enjoying it. Thanks for sharing. Manzano Mountain Wilderness area has been on my list of spots to visit and camp.
Thanks buddy. We had an awesome time out there! The Manzano’s is a good area, not very large but it does have some nice riding and I seem to find something out there from people who lived there decades ago. Thanks for watching buddy.
Great video Rueben, as usual. Looks like an awesome area to camp. I think it would be a good idea for you to make a video explaining just how you find where you want to go. Not disclosing the exact locations of course. Thanks man, ❤️ to your fam. 👍🏼☮️
Hey there. I do a lot of searching on Google Earth and on Gaia GPS. From Gaia I am able to look for trails in the forest and plot a route. Gaia also provides me with coordinates so I am able to use Google Earth to have a closer look and if I see something that looks like a structure or open space is around, then the spot has a good chance of being a ruin. For this video I am in the Cibola National Forest, which is a cool adventurous place to explore. It is scattered through various parts of central New Mexico. There is still lots to explore in this range before I move onto other national forest we have not including BLM land we have as well. There is lots to explore!. Thanks for watching!
Great video as usual man. Great scenery, editing and wildlife too!! Thanks for posting buddy!! BTW I'm heading out to New Brunswick in August for some atving. I might even bump into my friend the @Maritimer!
Thanks for checking out my video. You guys have some amazing country out there in eastern Canada. If I had the financial means, I would tour Canada and the US ATV camping in what remote and wild places I could find. @Maritimer is a sweet channel to watch! I’d love to hit trails with him. Thanks for watching buddy.
Great to see you back filming again. I really enjoy your videos. You always make a great camp and your meals are top notch too. You had a good day exploring. Nice to see your family join you. See you on your next adventure.
Thank you very much! I am happy to have you as a part of the channel and to see your comments. I love sharing what I do and how I do it in the outdoors. The easier things in life can bring out the best memories and I will remember my trip with my family. We have this video to look back on and remember. Take care my friend.
You got that right. I am going to cherish these memories as well, and we have them on video to reflect on later down the road. Thanks for watching my friend.
Hey buddy, I really enjoy your camping videos! That was cool. You were able to capture those deer on video. We like tortillas with anything in them as well although we don’t have them as often as you do I assume? Heck, yeah that was a good twist on the campfire s’mores! That sure was cool for you to have your family up there with you for one night of camping. Enjoyed the video buddy. Thanks for taking us along!
Hey buddy. I hope all is well. It was cool to capture the deer on camera. They must have known they were going to be on camera since they were being so cooperative hehe. That is awesome! You can stuff so many things into a tortilla and it all tastes good. I was super excited to camp with my wife and boys. We had an awesome time and man those smores with a twist were good! Highly recommended if you like Keebler Fudge Strip cookies. Thanks for watching!
Lovely family unit, Brother. To answer your question, growing up in west Texas, and now in Colorado for 25 years, tortillas (Wreck em Tech), jalapeños, green chilis, onions. Gotta have at least two of the four with every meal. Love your videos. I relax and destress watching them. Love your life man.
Man who can resist not having some chile, tortillas, onions etc. It makes food better lol. I am glad you enjoy the videos buddy. I would love doing a Colorado ATV trip in the next year. Life is good outside, take care!

Welcome! I hope you subscribed and stick around for future videos. Lone Wolf has some awesome videos! I enjoy watching his content and the beautiful country he shares. Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment.
I'm zero seconds in and excited to watch your video Ruben! The rain is washing the air. 🙂 Alligator Juniper; thanks for the identification. We don't have those in NE Oregon. Oh, side note; I was driving along a mountain highway a couple of days ago and spotted twin Bobcat kittens along the road and headed up the hillside towards their mother. That's a 1st for me! (Very cute too.) I would say people use bread more often around where I live. Except bread doesn't work all that well when traveling, so I've started using flour tortillas and putting various items like meats, veggies, and cheeses, along with hot sauce or a salad dressing of some type with them. Mexican style foods are very popular in the Pacific North West, but it's not as pervasive as in the south. Was this a spring time ride, or like areas of Arizona do you get summer rainstorms? "Nature's TV" I don't think I've heard of that one before. Great time with your family! Have a good one Ruben and I look forward to seeing you in a future video!
That would have been an awesome experience to see bobcat kittens. I've seen babe bear cubs in the wild and that was cool to see. You can't go wrong with bread, but you are right on the things that can go into a flour tortilla. I think that is what makes them a go to for me as well. Chile is more popular around New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado from what i have seen by just visiting these states. This was a summer ride. So a combination of snow melt and rain since we are in the monsoon storm season just like AZ is. I hope all is okay your way and I appreciate you watching buddy. I'll see you on the next one.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! That is awesome to hear I am being viewed in Finland. I love hearing where people are from and that we all share a joy for ATV adventures. Take care.
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures - geez! Was not expecting this. Thank you for the sub! I really enjoy your videos, I talk a lot in the videos these days - which I have pretty much learned from you. Because I think the story, and the people are more interesting compared just filming the driving. I have couple of times went up north in Finland. Near the Arctic Circle, just by the Russian border (even got the Border Guards chasing us to find out what our plans were). Driven 1000 miles there all together. Here is video that might be of an interest for you. I don't have subtitles on, but you might want to fast forward to some of the scenery that is there on mountain tops - very different compared to New Mexico. So nice to see these ATV's in different ecosystems. I would absolutely love to drive where you are - you might feel the same! Have a peek: ua-cam.com/video/UCSA-kfeun0/v-deo.htmlsi=qa1Oq754KzUoPp-j
Heck yes….we eat those food stuffs on a pretty regular basis here in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Really like your channel. If you don’t mind give us the locations of where you camp. Thanks.
Good to know about your food stuff out in Chicago. I always wonder how different food is across the country compared to ours. I am camping in New Mexico in the Cibola National forest. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Glad to see a new video.... ive been escaping the Vegas heat this summer by doing a lot of camping and riding in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.... I eat a lot of canned sardines, trail mix, and COLD IPA (am I WACK😂 or what)
Man that is a good way to escape the heat, you guys have had a brutally hot summer. That is a goal of mine, to travel to other states and do some camping. AZ and Utah have been a high interests of mine to explore. Dude. not whack at all. Its been a minute, but I would eat crackers with sardines and Louisiana hot sauce. An IPA hits well on that combo. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy your weekend man.
That is my plan. We bought my boy a Yamaha Grizzly 90. We are working with him, and I do see a trip in our future. I plan on getting him out on a mild trail in the fall. Stay tuned for this one. It should be a blast! Thanks for watching buddy.
Hi! Great to see you out on new adventures😀👍. To answer your question. In Norway we eat a lot of potatoes and bread of all kinds, in almost every meal. Norwegians are very fond of Mexican food, so we eat a lot of tortillas too.
I alternate between bread and tortillas. In my last video, I had bread for my trip and to be honest you can't go wrong with either. That is so awesome. I learned something about Norwegians. I had no clue you guys ate Mexican food as well. Thanks for sharing man. Take care bud.
haha, dude i didn't even notice it until i was actually editing the video when i saw it. Good catch, if I has saw it when I was there I would have taken it to trash. Thanks for watching man!
Looks like you had a really amazing camping trip and that steak looks so good. The back cover on all brands is not dust proof so not much use for it to like you use it for.
Thanks for watching! I had a great time camping, and that was a tasty steak and meal. You would think that with how many people have voiced their opinion on the unsealed storage, they would seal it by now. Or maybe that is just my opinion.
Beautiful place you have to roam! I live in the next Province over from Maritimer (Nova Scotia), went camping on my Kodiak 700 last weekend. Weatherman called for 5-10mm of rain, we ended up getting 98mm…. Tested the waterproof limit of my tent for sure lol.
You guys have some beautiful country and amazing coastal views of the ocean. It is crazy when a weather forecast is wrong, but as long as we come out prepared, we are able to enjoy it no matter what comes. But I am glad your tent passed the waterproofing test, otherwise, that would have sucked lol. Thanks for watching buddy.
You missed some type of handle, tool or something above you at the, Gator tree. It looks like...Good time and peace, out away from the madness of a walmart brings...lol
I think it was a beer bottle just above my head. I had no idea that was there in the tree when I was there. I only saw it when I was editing my video lol. You got that right! Nothing but madness in walmart! I am glad we have the outdoors to break away and reset ourselves. Thanks for watching man. Take care.
I am from Idaho and I do not take bread camping ever, it is always tortilla shells for sure bc I go for days sometimes weeks and bread does not keep that long, so yeah I love tortilla shells 👍
Very true about the bread. On extended trips I have done in the past, I have found tortillas hold well to humidity and the other elements you might have. Plus they make a good food options since you can put just about anything in a shell.
Dude, I totally agree. I love pizza with all sorts of different toppings. I should make a camp pizza on one of my videos lol. Sounds good right about now. Thanks for watching man!
I am in the Cibola national forest. I need to hit the Gila and Lincoln one day soon. The Gila for sure since I am closer to a section of it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. Rice is a good food to eat. We are that with a lot of the Spanish dishes we make and of course when we have food that requires rice.
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures They look good. I was going to get the exact set for one of my Grizzlies ( Base EPS Model ) But everyone was saying they are a couple inches shorter than stock. Those look to be just right in my opinion.
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures absolutely. I found some places near me by word of others but one day in a few years plan on moving out west which definitley will help. Thanks!
Yes, that is correct. We could drive anywhere in public lands where there are trails and roads that exist. We can camp anywhere off of those roads as long as we don’t go beyond 300 ft. I have found some amazing remote country that you will guarantee to not experience anyone for weeks, if not longer.
I do miss the Can Am. I strongly do believe I had the bad apple of the bunch for what ever reason. My neighbor has the same Can Am that I use to have and he never has issues. So for whatever reason mine did and it grew to costly. I was regular on maintenance and general care which is why I couldn’t figure out why so many problems. Thanks for watching man.

Golden brown is the best way to go
You can't go wrong with that! Cheers man.
Red canyon was one of my favorite places.
It is a pretty canyon and nice campground.
Awesome trip…….
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Perfect mate what an adventure 👍🍺
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching buddy.
Outstanding job !
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video as always.
Beautiful family. Blessed
Thanks so much! I appreciate your comment.
Again - what an awesome vid! Thanks and greetings from Finland from an another adventure ATV guy!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! That is awesome to hear I am being viewed in Finland. I love hearing where people are from and that we all share a joy for ATV adventures. Take care.
I subscribed to your channel. I'll be watching your videos.
Here in Texas tortillas with 🌶️
I was in TX not long ago and had an awesome breakfast burrito with jalapenos! Super good!
Beautiful area Ruben thanks for taking us along soon you will be getting your boys atvs 👍
Did you see that bottle in the tree at 9min mark man?
Great video glad you’re getting out there !
haha, dude i didn't even notice it until i was actually editing the video when i saw it. Good catch, if I has saw it when I was there I would have taken it to trash. Thanks for watching man!
Nice vid keep it going
I appreciate it. I'll get back out there within a couple weeks. Thanks for watching buddy.
Been on that same trail, nice ride.👍
Right on! It is a nice little ride no doubt. Thanks for watching man.
Look like fun trip think i saw a bottle in the juniper tree at 9 minutes above your head lol .
lol, i saw the bottle only when I was editing the video. Had I seen it I would have packed it out. Thanks for watching man.
Missed you for a minute buddy, good to see you out 👍from the PNW
Thanks for watching and sticking around buddy. I am planning trip to get out again. Should be out filming before the end of July.
Take care.
Would like to see some adventures
I am from Idaho and I do not take bread camping ever, it is always tortilla shells for sure bc I go for days sometimes weeks and bread does not keep that long, so yeah I love tortilla shells 👍
Very true about the bread. On extended trips I have done in the past, I have found tortillas hold well to humidity and the other elements you might have. Plus they make a good food options since you can put just about anything in a shell.
Arizona and California have the same food tendencies. Like a pizza there's nothing you can't wrap in a tortilla.
Dude, I totally agree. I love pizza with all sorts of different toppings. I should make a camp pizza on one of my videos lol. Sounds good right about now. Thanks for watching man!
Fellow New Mexican here that like traveling the trails too. Would you mind sharing this trail?
👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks man!
Can you do a video of what you take on you ATV camping trips
Hey there. This seems to be a popular question I have. I will see about getting a video up on this question.
Which forest are you in, looks awesome. Only been in the Gila and Lincoln national forests.
I am in the Cibola national forest. I need to hit the Gila and Lincoln one day soon. The Gila for sure since I am closer to a section of it. Thanks for watching!
I’m Mexican so that’s a given haha 😂
I know lol! Me too buddy!
Sir I m Pakistan and most famous meal in our country is rise
Thanks for watching. Rice is a good food to eat. We are that with a lot of the Spanish dishes we make and of course when we have food that requires rice.
What brand and size tires are you running on that grizzly?
I have the Tusk TriloBite tires. In the front I have 26x9-12 and the rear I have 26x10-12.
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures They look good. I was going to get the exact set for one of my Grizzlies ( Base EPS Model ) But everyone was saying they are a couple inches shorter than stock. Those look to be just right in my opinion.
What size tires are you running front and back
In the back I have 26x10x12 and the front I have 26x9x12.
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures they looks perfect thanks!
Great video?
Thanks for watching my friend.
How do you find such places?
Some places are just by luck, then there are places that I plot out by using google earth and gaia GPS to find routes and trails. Thanks for watching!
@@ManzanoManATVAdventures absolutely. I found some places near me by word of others but one day in a few years plan on moving out west which definitley will help. Thanks!
So you can just drive into the woods, and park, and camp, wherever you want on public land?
Yes, that is correct. We could drive anywhere in public lands where there are trails and roads that exist. We can camp anywhere off of those roads as long as we don’t go beyond 300 ft. I have found some amazing remote country that you will guarantee to not experience anyone for weeks, if not longer.
Do you miss the can am at all? I have an outlander 570 and 700 and love them both neither one have had issues
Thanks for watching man.
thanks man
