The Leos arent for players that doesnt know map knowlegde etc. id say the russians are alot more forgiving but ur locked to play terrians where ur 5 degrees of gun depression is a non issue, and id like to add the Battalion Leo 2 is just a Tech tree 2a4 with a camo net, the 2a4 is a really good all rounder. I have the 2a4 and i love it... and i have the l44, and i love it so i cant say which is technically better considering the top tier experience atm the A1A1 is the better choice....Im not mentioning the PT 14/16 bc wel its not a premium and u cant get it unless u use the marketplace.... so overall opinion L44 just because u dont face T80BVMs and T72B3Ms :)
I thought the Leo 2 was pretty good when I played it. I found it’s survivability was really good, and the blowout ammo rack makes a difference. I’ve had a couple issues with the gun, but any shot to the side will destroy.
I think you forgot to mention that Leopard A1A1 only got DM13 round, which is around 400 pen(maybe). Don't get me wrong, it is enough to pen all of the tank but the pen is not much of a difference from 105mm Leopard A1A1. The main point is the spalling of that round is much better than other 105. I picked up the Leopard A1A1 when I got the Leopard 2k. So, I don't have much trouble playing it. I feel like Leopard A1A1 is a flanker while the Leopard 2A4 is a Jack of All trade. I still think Leopard A1A1 is better because you don't really face 11.0 and have a solid line up for backup.
I powergrinded the whole tree from Rank 1 to my 4th Rank 7 vehicle with L/44, TAM2IP, Bo-105 and Gina and a lot of Backups. Took 3 months of playing 1 to 2 hours daily to get to Rank 7.

But this can always change. Leo 2A4 can be used on toptier later too - as a quick flanker. Both picks are great - pick the one with a better lineup around it.

The only real "problem" with the Leo 2A4 as a premium is the fact its 10.0. Now dont get me wrong im not saying it should go down in br no no no no. But if somebody gets it as a first high tier prem there is the simple problem of: the leo2a4 being a good tank yes. At its own br any higher then 10.0 its armour becomes basically useless,the gen 1 thermal doesnt help the situation and the round becomse obsolete pretty qucik against bvms and such and not even the mobility can really save it since in 10.7-11.0 besides a few examples most of the tanks are the same speed if not faster sometimes. Also this might just be my opinion but the best grinder has to be the tam2ip lmao. Yes it doesnt have thermals and might not have the greatest zoom but the ammo,mobility and sometimes the armour is just amazing.
I got leo 2AV from loot box on event.. for first 24 hours i was that mad i would just sell my soul to demon to get better armor, but after another 24 i got friend in 2AV gun.. its quite good.. so we are just living in simbiose now.. 😊
Leo 2 is great, it's a 2a4 with netting but with hidden premium bonuses (I swear they exist). Great for farming! It's also the closest to 2a5/a6 you'll get so if you don't like it you might not like the better variants. A1a1 is okay, I wouldn't buy it again if I had a choice.. I've got 500 games in it, it's okay nothing special. If you do play Leo's take 16 rounds so 15 fit in back of turret and 1 in chamber. Also, don't ever buy that mi 28 chopper for Germany, hot garbage.
After drone age all the high br matches have turned into shitshow with CAS killing everything so playing normal tanks is pretty shit nowdays. Drones spawn high and right above battlefield so radar can´t spot them and su-25 damage model is broken as those often shrug off up to 5 missiles before going down. And then there are the choppers with long range missiles to spare. All in all the current high br cameplay is that once either side gets a cap, CAS comes to kill all the tanks that are left unless half of the team changes to AA
They are similar, but they have their differences for sure. Leo a1a1 deals more damage as cannon caliber is 120mm, while OF-40 is 105mm, also OF-40 mk.2a does not have thermals, while leo a1a1 has. Similarities would be gameplay, because they both are mobile and have close to no armor.
King tiger is pretty difficult to play with. With good positioning you can get easy 8-10 kills, but it's slow, so big maps are painful to play on. Also it depends on your goals, if you want to get to top vehicles, then Leo A1A1 is a good option, You can pick Leo 2 as well, because it is a good tank but top tier gameplay is overall painful. If you want a good mid-rank premium, try the non premium JagdPanther and if you like it then get the premium version. Also VERY IMPORTANT, I suggest you wait a bit as at the end of this month and start of the next one, there will be Massive discounts "10 Years for Gaijin Celebration"

I have mastered leo 2a4 pzbtl123 and i would say its better than leo 1 has better armor, speed, firepower im only mad at the thing that gaijin nerfed SL gains for it
Leo 2 after paying 50% off Xmas deal for Xbox because Microsoft are dumb 😑 the Leo 2 has literally got me the puma ( I’m obsessed with it dunno why) anyways from br 6 with 5/6hr gaming only on weekends with no boosters so yeah really really good
leo 2a4 is shit after buying fully upgraded leo 2pl, i use leo 2a4 as a feeler to decide if i want to play a match out or leave since its cheap to repair and dogshit. the awful thermals, paper armor, and shitty apfsds shell turn me off.

I’ll take the Leopard 2A4prem, the TT version is amazing good tank and the premium one is exactly the same with better camouflage

the leo 1, leo 2a4 and pt 16 both have the same guns i dont know how you can have less damage in leo2a4
