My lovebird recently passed away. Home is too quiet now, so i'm preparing to get two new lovebirds in a couple months. My baby was well trained but he was a solo guy, so i'm mentally preparing for double trouble

a neighbor gave me a lovebird (he says he found it under our tree) and we kept it. It's been 2 days and we got it a cage and everything. I haven't ever owned a lovebird before (i had budgies but we kept them in the cage because we have an open house with 4 courtyards) and idk what i should do w it? I want to train it and let it out (after clipping it's wings) but idk how long it'll take it to adapt?

My love birds start sitting on my hand but they still bite my fingers very hard. What I do 😥

If they are sitting on your hand it's already great progress! Try to push a little on their beak and firmly say no. Eventually they will get the point. Also start training if you have the time. Mine still love to bite finger. Seems to be a thing lol. I tried touching him more and eventually he got used to fingers. He likes to play with them but if he bites too hard I push his beak a little and say no so he understands that it hurts.
That's how I deal with my bird tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

One thing that worked for me was letting them out a lot or leaving their cage open. It takes a lot of time for them to even get used to you. I see that it’s been 4 Months so I’m guessing you’ve already done that? But it mainly takes getting to know them I have two and they love being out to fly and love it when I have music playing, they don’t usually like it quiet. So depending on your bird and their personality means a lot with training
