Since around halfway through the original franchise nuzlocke series, I always had the thought in the back of my mind saying "You know what would be absolutely unhinged and hilarious? If we did this again with only shiny Pokemon." and the intrusive thoughts won. So here we are, Shiny Only Season 2 baby!

Rules of the challenge:
1. All encounters must be shiny Pokemon (HM users may not be shiny but are not allowed to be used for attacking in battle)
2. Fainting = Death
3. Can only catch one Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
4. Cannot use a species of Pokemon more than once in the franchise (regional variants are considered separate)
5. No items in battle (held items okay)
6. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
7. Play on "Set" battle mode

You never updated the team list on the side when you replaced Dunsparce with Celebi
Season 3 will be only catching Pokémon with perfect IVs

He catches every available shadow pokemon on the GameCube titles, all shiny, and then nuzlockes the entire series with those somehow lol

Technically, there are no shiny Pokémon in gen 1.
Seeing Dunsparce rip and tear through the game is incredibly satisfying.
When nuzlocking the entire series was the easy mode for this meatball

With all the shiny geodudes. Someone should make a romhack of gen 2, and make a trainer that asks if you want to see there shiny execute, and it is just 6 shiny geodudes.

I don't think you need to explain or "justify" that you're using tools to speed the shiny hunt. It's a really tedious process and honestly you look a lot more happy when you're playing something else on stream while the bot does the job. From my point of view this challenge is really hard and you're pulling it off like a pro. Congratulations and I'll keep watching the streams
Fun detail, Typhlosion and Charizard have exactly the same base stats. That makes Typhlosion vs Charizard fights strangely satisfying to me.

Well, uh, good luck for catching a sleeping Snorlax in Space Time Distortion in the Chrimson Mirelands, that's one mission I don't think I can do.
(Out of space time distortions the first time you can find a sleepable wild snorlax is in the Icelands, but Pokemon CAN fall asleep in distortions so.......)
Other than that, cases like evolve 4 Wyrdeers or Spam 100 strong style moves by Machamp is some fairly tame missions.
Catching 15 Flying Togekiss on the top of Lake Verity before fighting Klevor may be a bit difficult but it's something you can pull it off by spamming wing balls.
Hitting 110 70% accurate moves with Raichu is the true hell in an all-tasks POC.
Sad to see Zooger and I's shiny edits didn't make it into the video but this was a fun one regardless! Looking forward to the rest of the series :D

Maybe for the encounter counter add a counter on screen with the floating (+[number]) for each phase how many encounters a shiny took to get. It's pretty had to follow all these numbers

2:17 what genes did it get? The best outcome is FAAA which is max variable attack gene. The worst possible outcome might be 5AA0.

On my first legitimate Pokemon Team (which was really wonky and unbalanced), I had a Dunsparce. I'm sure it wasn't actually fantastic, but all I remember as a kid was destroying everything with strength. He felt powerful, but how accurate that was, I'll never know.
I kinda wish they would do that thing they did for Mr. Game and Watch for Ghastly’s evolution line. You know, where it’s a 3D model that looks like a 2D model?

Hello meatball! Are you using an Emulator for these runs or are you plugged into a gameboy on your pc? I’m a huge pokemon fan but i’d rather get back into games like ruby/sapphire/emerald on my pc since my game boys are long gone!
Glad to see you're finally working on that Professor Oak's challenge! You only have Legends Arceus and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and then you are free! :D (Until Legends Z-A. XD)

24:10 I have seen so many videos talking about SV having performance issues and showing them, but for some reason on my first play through (Physical cartridge day 1 of sv) I had no issues and didn’t have issues until a month afterwards. And now that I do it’s just like random screen bug like it spazzing out for a second then stopping. While I completely believe everyone else I’m still confused why I didn’t have that problem

do you play on emulator or original console?
I use a mix but preferably use an emulator. The GB Operator allows me to transfer saves between cartridge and PC, but I prefer the higher quality footage, speedup, and PKHex usage for accelerating grinding/item collection for video purposes.
