- The main purpose of Gesso is to work as a primer before painting.This clear gesso is washable with water. This works fine for personal DIY projects. For professional results and for selling your paintings, we do not recommend this Gesso.
Always do your craft projects in well ventilated area. Wear protective mask, goggles and gloves as needed.

Interesting! I'm thinking about using calcium carbonate instead of the corn starch, only because I use it to make my own chalk paint. Corn starch might be smoother though so I'll try them both. Thanks for your video!! 🥰

Do you have use this for clear seal if not what do you use it for )?
As primer. For example on canvases (or on anything else where you will paint on, like wood), then the paint will not be absorbed into the canvas.

1 part starch and 1 part water is already a whole unless specified as a percentage or fraction, so what is the 2.5 part white glue relative to? the whole? or the 1 part of either the starch or water? or container cup?
1 in this case is a unit of volume, specifically 1 of those little cups.
But can be whatever you want, like 1L is you are feeling abitious. Or that 347ml glass you got in a yard sale you are obsessed with.
All your measurements are based off of that base unit, no need for percentag or specialized tools

If you are making a batch for immediate use, my guess is it does not matter if you use tap water
