Personally, I like the Brooks Bros, Red Fleece, slim fit, garment dyed stretch chino's. The fit is spot on, I get a longer length so I can have a 1 3/4" cuff, the fabric is thick enough for a crisp crease and they come in a variety of great colors.
I was surprised at this video. Love you guys and always watch. But I recall Ashley arguing forcefully against chinos with creases in the legs. I believe she said if they have creases ironed in them, they aren't chinos. That said, I kind of agree with the argument made here that it is possible to have a little bit cleaner look with a sportcoat, etc., if your chinos have a crease. In short, it doesn't matter that much to me. Has Ashley changed her mind on this?
I bought some Banana Republic Aiden Slim Core Chinos which are thin. I use them for casual wear and prefer them on warmer days than chinos with thicker material
Please do a segment recommending some brands of dress pants. My husband is looking for dress pants to wear with his blazer for dressier occasions. Should the pants match the blazer. I know blazers are not meant to be a “suit”. However, he had a favorite blazer ( wool material) that he loves to wear as a “ suit”. We r having trouble finding pants to match.
Bernard Tan - Agreed! So far Everlane is my best OTR chino. Everlane rise is also 11 inches (1-1.5 inches) longer than most OTR brands. This provides better fit especially if your waist is >32 inches (eliminates low rise plumbers crack & reduces muffin top that most pants at 10-10.25 seem to have). I run hot and the mid weight chino was perfect for me all year but does not look like "smart" chinos because they do wrinkle but again, due to the higher rise, these chinos work very well w/ a unstructured sports coat. I would assume that the lightweight and air chino would be just as or more prone to wrinkles. The heavyweight may be less prone to wrinkles but looks like they discontinued the heavyweight at least until next F/W.
So it's an athletic fit. Banana Republic makes a really darn good chino too. I use Tiebar for ties, boutonnieres, and pocket squares. I'm happy thus far, although I'm thinking MTM chino's from Indochino are the way to go to avoid the tailoring expense. I'll have to try these next time I'm in midtown by the Tiebar store. What about Amazon's brand 30 dollar chino pants. They also come in a variety of colors and most sizes. They are pretty thick and I have been happy with them. Plus better priced and free prime shipping.

im a skinny wearer but ive no chinos in my wardrobe because ive never find a real-skinny chino: for example, GAP’s skinny chinos are more a slim/slim-straight fit.. and also a longer than normal (for example a L30 chino or jeans by GAP on me seem a L32) regards from Italy!

Beige, Navy, and Grey seem to be very versitile colours and will go really well with brown shoes. However, since you’re wearing a charcoal jumper, I’d stick with either Navy or Beige Chinos. Both will go well with your white or light blue oxford shirt. I hope this was able to help!

Not to mention the trendy/garbage hipster ones when I was younger, Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister variations. Bonobos was the only one that lasted the test of time, in terms of keeping color, structure, comfort, stretch. I even played basketball in them several times when I forgot my shorts and that's how I knew they were quality made
