    I’m 6’4”/193cm (and my brothers are either side of that) so I always watch Richard’s reviews. They are always informative & entertaining. “...if your kids are as tall as me, it’s time they left home...” hahaha.

      Thanks dude - I have a feeling my boss assigns me to review small cars and seven seaters sometimes just to see me try to fold myself in. Have you seen the Mini review? Cheers Richard Berry

      Kodiac is just wow, and teguan is also a good machine.... if u always travel with multiple perosn along with u, go for a kodiac... but tighuan is an I20 ,SUV AMONG COMPETITORS

      JUST TAKE A SPIN ONCE...AND U WOULD FEELL IN LOVE WITH IT

      I've test driven both of these in New Zealand. The differences are below
      Tiguan Allspace Highline:
      -more expensive
      -comes with active info dashboard
      -I enjoyed the drive more. I felt intune with the car, especially going fast around corners
      -has tray tables
      -3rd row seats are poor, hard to get in and out, poor head room, little leg room
      -boot has large holes on the sides for stuff to fall down
      -it feels like VW just rushed this through to meet a gap in the market and the extra 2 seats were an afterthought.
      Skoda Kodiaq Sportline
      -cheaper in price
      -has umbrellas
      -has door protectors
      -feels like it was made to be a 7 seater
      -Didn't feel as secure when going fast around corners
      -3rd row seats can give adequate headspace and leg space, if you push forward the front row and middle row. My wife and I are both about 167cm tall and we could fit in all three rows.
      in short, the Tiguan Allspace drives a bit nicer and has active info dashboard, but the Kodiaq is a better 7 seater.

      @@diulikadikaday strange that the Kodiaq is significantly more spacious than the Tiguan allspace...because in terms of overall length...the Tiguan is actually slightly longer.

    Hi greetings from Canada, is it the same 2.0 TSI that we have here? Ours is 184hp and 221lb-ft of torque (trying to do the conversion with your numbers but I'm not sure). Thanks for the video, wish we could have the DSG in our SUV's here you lucky europeans.

    • @wocaomade

      It doesn't, not even in the front with those long turn signal LED light strips. But you can get aftermarket front headlights with sequential turn signals, sacrificing the AFS and DLA functionalities.

    • @jaymax9560
      @jaymax9560 5 років тому

      I doesn't but you can buy obdeleven to program it to have sequential indicators. It has the hardware but its disabled.

    so the only problem we have with this car is parking wich is hell, since it is so big and here in Sweden people often has smaller sized cars it is so hard to park because the car takes up sometimes more than the parking square gave ya. the car is broader than the parking square, and it gets a bit annoying trying to find some idiot who is parked wrong and to much on the other side so we can fir our car

      Jeffry Resgonia If u do regular offroading, then Fortuner. Otherwise Tiguan is awesome. Road grip, quality and steering is awesome. Body roll is well controlled than fortuner.

    • @wakeupandsmellthecoffeetod9582
      @wakeupandsmellthecoffeetod9582 5 років тому +1

      Fortuner is a rubbish bin on wheels. Cut the price by 50% and that's what its real worth is. It's tall though...so if you do off roading then that's the more proper choice. But other than that...that trash is 0 out of 10.

    • @carsguide
      @carsguide  6 років тому +6

      Do you mean in terms of quality? Nope, I doubt there is anything to be concerned about here. The Puebla plant in Mexico has been making Volkswagens since 1967 from Beetles to Golfs and now the Tiguan Allspace. This factory alone employs 14,000 workers and it's a massive powerhouse for the Mexican economy - they do a kickarse job. Cheers Richard

    The bootspace figures on this appear totally made up to me. I've got a Passat wagon atm with 650 litres. Just went to look at one of these. They reckon this is 700? My arse it is. More like 450 - 500 tops. Very disappointing.

    As much as you praise these cars the brand still has the corrupt stigma, poor resale value and expensive servicing. They are freat new but there are not too many 10 year old Tiguans on the road too. They have a long way to go to build quality that lasts.

      I found the bottle compartment and pockets too small to what I am used to from family suvs in the market and the food/activity tables on the back of the seats a bit corny and useless. Drive wise it feels good on the road but my experience with be is this feeling doesn't last the full 3 years. The resale is not good on these cars. Other suvs in the market hold their value a lot better.
