According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff for the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited an air force base on May 28. This secret base, located in the heart of the Zagros Mountains, contains 100 drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to the Iranian state television. Reports said construction of this base made Iran the "drone superpower" in the region.
