- Iran’s army unveiled its first underground air force base, named “Eagle 44,” on Tuesday, state media reported.
State news agency IRNA described the base as “one of the most important air bases of the air force,” equipped with fighter jets armed with long-range cruise missiles.

If you travel in the Alps and have a keen eye, you might even spot a giant gun sticking out the side of a mountain. They're very well hidden though. There are some interesting videos on UA-cam on the subject.

Sure the bunker idea sounds good on paper, but then again all America has to do is hit the entrance and boom, that’s multiple fighter jets and crew down the drain. Bunker busting ammunition exists for a reason.

People talked about it and filmed it and the rumor is that it is the classified Zohal ufo like drone or a new shahed-131. No-one knows. Also a few weeks ago satellite photo of an Iranian tactical air-base shows an unknown helicopter that looks similar to the Russian black-Shark attack helicopter but no-one knows. IRIAF chief said on the occasion of airforse days many new military hardware's will be shown.

A few days ago IRGC chief talked about a unique Iranian SAM missile developed for the first time in the world. he said Iran had achieved what US and Russia were dreaming for years and failed to develop and no nation on earth has any clue on it. The missile is the world first loitering air-defense missiles called "385 missile" and and iran had lend the tech to Yemeni ansar allah (houties) and they make it under the name safer-1 and yemenis used it to shot down Saudi drones and aircrafts. The missile is a hybrid of SAM and drone. It can act like a drone and wait for its target and decide how to engage it while it can hit its target as a missile. The IRGC chief said its like having a SAM with a pilot onboard that can think and wait for its target and hit it in a surprise. The missile will be fired in advance of the areal target and then wait for the target to get near and hit it where the target does not know.

why you ignore f-14 tomcat which is heaviest fighter on the planet with Iranian air to air missile fakor with 270 km rang far far away to your new fighters reach the range of retaliate. and because they are defending and you attacking, they do not need to allow you to get in the dogfight if they use Iraq air space, they could shoot you down while you can't retaliate before fly 150 km then f14 is in yours reach.
they may not be ideal for attack but second to none for defending because no other fighter on the planet can use fakor missiles due to sheer size and weight.
