- Fishing the Texas gulf coast for inshore species, like Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder is some of my favorite fishing of all time!! The nutrient rich Texas gulf coast is home to some of the best eating fish on the planet!! All of our fish on this trip we’re caught out of kayaks, on artificial lures, such as The Heddon Super Spook and Strike King Sexy Dawg topwater plugs. Using the techniques most commonly referred to as walking the dog!!

Hey y’all, leave me a comment and let me know if y’all like this saltwater content! Let me know if you go down to the coast, and what part of the coast you fish? Also, let me know what is your favorite species to target!!!
Should be headed down in the next couple of weeks. We usually hit Galveston and Matagorda Bay.
but seeing this video makes me want to try Rockport.. Good stuff, Terry! Keep it up!
Good stuff! You drove right by my house Terry. I’m down there In Rockport, Arkansas pass, north padre every day for work.
Outstanding trout!!! 2 favorites together … great video
Thanks David. You do any saltwater fishing? If so where do you go?
Congrats! Nice fish. Those days will keep you coming back for more!
That a a nice red. I caught a huge one from shore at Port Aransas last year.
Love me some redfish!! We prepare our redfish in the smoker, on the half shell, with butter & 2 gringos chupacabra seasoning 😋 What is everyone’s preferred method of cooking their redfish?
What’s the best bait to use out there? Gulp, zoom flukes or just live bait?
ive had great luck with all of those.. my favorite plastic is down south lures
but live bait is the cheat code
@@JBHull I have never heard of those! Have to give them a try
@@KidKrappie yea man, the purple and chartreuse is an industry standard, and good old fashioned white is always a go to
MirOLure Mirrodine is deadly. Also KVD wake baits in any color!
That's my love right there. Was fortunate to fish the lower laguna madre and gulf for the first 25 years of my life .
I try to go as often as I can.
@BarFlyFishingTexas same here, I'm in north texas now with 2 little ones so travel is hard. Once they get older though it'll likely be a bi monthly trip. Hope yall kill em when yall head back out on the boat 💪
My man, let’s go fishing, I’m right here in Mesquite, you fish all around me.
Hell of a trout Terry! Looks like an awesome time down there fishing out of a kayak, I might have to get one haha
Yes sir, been fishing out of kayaks since 2010. I love it!!
@@BarFlyFishingTexas I normally fish out of a pirogue in creeks and such but if I ever have to venture across some open water and it’s windy. It can be a real chore. I think a kayak wouldn’t catch so much wind with it being low to the water. That’s awesome catching fish on the Texas coast in water that shallow, I really need to give it a try. I’ve always fished in southeast Louisiana when fishing inshore
