First team that comes to mind is the 2015 chiefs. It was my first year watching football. They started 1-5 then won 10 straight and a playoff game. Their turnaround got me invested in the league for the first time. It's a shame this team gets forgotten because nobody dares to remember the "Pre-Mahomes" Cheifs. But anyway, great vid KTO.
I remember that team. Alex Smith was such a good QB, yet he always ended up overshadowed by someone younger and flashier. First Kaepernick, then Mahomes. He deserved so much better.
it feels like people dont remember because you havent been watching that long. Im old have have been watching for like 25 years... 2015 seems like last week and people like me remember it well :)
Mark Brunell during that 1996-99 span was unreal, it's amazing how quickly the Jags collapsed after making deep playoff runs multiple seasons in a row.
and they've been irrelevent ever since except for 2017 when they could have and should have had their first superbowl appearance edit - led by blake bortles of all people, too
There’s an amazing Norm Macdonald story where he’s sitting in a dark room by himself smoking cigarettes and another writer from SNL asks why he’s smoking again, and Norm just said, “ask Mark Brunell”. Lol I guess those Jags collapses lost Norm a bunch of money
Jaguars had a lot of mid career vets they signed or got through the expansion draft. Because of this they actually had a shorter window to win than you might expect.
The 2002 Jets started 2-5 and finished 9-7 along with the AFC East title. They beat the Packers 42-17 to do so and in the Wildcard game, they shut out the Colts 41-0. It was a fun season overall led by Herm Edwards, Chad Pennington, and Curtis Martin along with others.
2022 Jets were the exact opposite They started 6-3 which was shocking But than they went just 1-7 the rest of the way to finish 7-10 dead last in division Now the main reason was qb issues At least the Jets actually improved their roster this offseason
It's crazy how good the early Jags were. Imagine if they won the Super Bowl their second season. I know the Ravens won it in 4 but they were already a team before then. Crazy
Then they fired Tom Coughlin and let nearly all their superstar talent go. Thankfully that Coughlin guy didn’t go on to do too much after that hahaha (please end my suffering)
That would’ve been the biggest shock to the NFL establishment since the Jets winning super bowl III, or the Browns coming over from the AAFC and immediately dominating the supposedly superior league.
And the NFL immediately gimped any future expansion drafts after that. There's a reason the Jags and Panthers started strong and the reborn Browns were terrible out of the gate.
1975 Colts started 1-4 with a new coach and had not had a winning season since 1971. Reeled off nine straight to win the division at 10-4. (Also note that Carolina went 12-4 and made the NFC title game in its second season. Those are the only two modern NFL expansion teams to grow up so quickly.)
a bit disappointed the 1977 bears didn't make the list. They were 3-5, down 27-21 with 3 seconds left, won the game on a hail mary and then the next 5 games to make the playoffs
First year I ever played fantasy football. I started my league 1-6 and picked up Vince young and Ricky Williams (I’m an OU fan 😅) ended up finishing the regular season 7-6 and won the championship. I was 15 years old at the time.
This past year I started 3-6 in fantasy football, and finished 9-6 and was the bottom seed of the playoffs. I'm in the championship being down 1 point against my opponent, with Joe Burrow left to play. Certainly I'll win. Nope. That was the game where the Bill's safety got injured and they zeroed Burrow's stats.
It may not be the worst, but the most painful collapse in recent memory for me is the 2018 Redskins. Started out 6-3 and leading the division, but after Smith went down with the leg injury we only won 1 more game that season, including a shutout defeat that let the Eagles into the playoffs. I still wonder how far we would’ve gotten if that tackle hadn’t happened
I remember the Titans turnaround after Vince young’s comeback. I was pretty surprised because back then, they looked like today’s Washington commanders
As a Lions fan, ending up on this list would be highly appropriate for this season and our history of owning weird records Edit: LETS GO, I WAS FULL OF COPIUM WHEN I WROTE THIS BUT IM SO HYPE NOW

2008 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - were tied for first in the NFC South with Carolina at 9-3. Lost to Carolina in a MNF game and then went on to lose all their final 3 games including the home season-finale to a JaMarcus Russell-led Oakland Raiders team. Amazing to think that the 2015 Chiefs team not only pulled a 10 straight win turn-around but also did so after Jamaal Charles tore his ACL that year. That playoff win, the first in decades for the Chiefs was a cherry in top
The 2018 Colts will always have a place in my heart. I was going through a rough year personally but the unexpected, amazing 9-1 finish to the season after starting 1-5 made things more palatable. The way they just came together and played well and came back in big games, it was quite a treat. It’s a shame that turned out to be Andrew Luck’s last season, but I’ll always be grateful for the entertainment, thrills, and greatness he displayed in his short career despite our organization failing him. In my mind he went out with a bang, and I hope the Colts can finally recapture the standard Peyton, Dungy, and Andrew set for them and win another Lombardi. I also hope I live to see it
When it comes to turnarounds like these, making the most of a soft stretch of your schedule is always key. The 1992 Chargers were one of my favorite teams ever, but it is worth noting that they started to turn things around once they got to start facing the lesser teams on their last-place schedule. To their credit, though, they did it. Their defense tightened with Junior Seau leading the way and their clock-eating offensive gameplan wore their opponents out.
@Fries 1995, when the Jags and Panthers joined the league. Before then, each conference had two divisions that contained five teams and one division that contained four teams. A team that finished last in a five-team division would have a schedule the following year that consisted of two games against the other last place team in their conference as well as two more games against the two last place teams from the other conference. The '92 Chargers went 4-0 against those particular teams and 8-0 against losing teams, altogether.
@Fries Don't get me wrong. I'm not dissing them. They were my second-favorite team after my home team. I'm merely pointing out why it is so difficult to make the playoffs after a terrible start by mentioning that the schedule broke in their favor and they made the most of it. Other teams like the '91 Broncos, '93 Oilers and '97 49ers did similar things. I was ecstatic when the Chargers made the Super Bowl and crushed when they lost.
@Fries yes, the Chargers were plenty capable. They didn't just beat those bad teams, after all; they clobbered them. The '94 team beat and also lost to teams of all calibers. That '94 playoff run also showed their resilience, as they rallied to defeat Dan Marino and the Dolphins and then went into Pittsburgh and stunned the Steelers.
KTO, I love your videos! My all time favorite UA-camr! Whenever I see you dropped a new video, I instantly drop what I’m doing and watch it. Thanks for everything you’ve dropped so far and praying for many more videos with your expertise! Take care, I appreciate all your hard work!
This video should be sponsored by the Detroit lions. I've grown up a lions fan my whole life. When "experts" were giving season predictions they all said 7 or 8 wins. I said 10 to 12 wins or 2 to 4 wins. There's no in between with a team like the lions and I respect that consistency
As a raiders fan I’m watching this and praying we can turn this thing around we’re 1-4 losing all games less the 7 points and I needed this video the being hope
I think you missed out on the 2008 Eagles. Went from 5-5-1 (and their franchise QB benched at halftime) to the NFC championship game. I may be biased since I am from Philly, but I feel like that was truly one of the most insane turnarounds in NFL history.
One of the funniest moments in NFL history to me is Donovan McNabb's postgame interview after that tie. "I didn't know you could tie." As a Bengals fan who watched my team be a part of that tie, little did I know that my team would be a part of so many weird ties since.
My Steelere 2022 most shocking tournaround ever We were 2-6 we sopposed to tank since than we shocked everyone with a 6-2 record no one even our fans didn't believe we can do it
mark brunell goat. Also, as a chargers fan, no football moment ever made me more mad than them losing to the SHONN GREENE jets in that playoff. and now they're known for blowing seasons rather than turning them around...
Dude shut up the Chargers are so bad such an afterthought poverty franchise. LT was at his best on the Jets and Phil Rivers isn’t the biological father to any of his children
You can’t forget to mention Earl Morrall filled in for Bob Griese week 5 for the undefeated Dolphins team. The only undefeated team played more than half their season with a backup QB.
Stacy James god helped you this year The Lions did an amazing midseason tournaround they staeted 1-6 and are now 8-8 even recieved attention from media duribg that hot run My Steelers also started 2-6 and i wanted tanking but we went 6-2 sinve and are still alive at 8-8 Hopefully both of our teams make the postseason
The Titans have a weird history of starting out terrible and rallying back halfway into the season. In fact, if I had a nickel for every time the Titans started with at least 4 losses in the first 6 games and ended up going to the AFC Championship, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?
So you’re telling me Chargers are the only team to go 0-4 and then make the playoffs at the end of the season in ‘92, and they almost did it AGAIN in 2017? Starting 0-4, going a little over halfway through the season at a 3-6 record, but managing to finish 9-7 and one spot shy of a wildcard game. That’s pretty unbelievable
As a titans fan that’s been watching kto for years. I much appreciate all the love kto has been showing us lately. Usually nobody cares about our history or our team😂
Im a bears fan, what got me really in to football was the 2018 season. Started off 3-3, (which I know isn’t that bad) but they only lost one game the rest of the season. Eddie Jackson was (and is) so underrated.
That 2022 Jags kinda copied the 1996 Jags They started 4-8 than made a run 5 straight and won the division Than beat the Chargers in an historic 27 point comeback and I wished they would’ve beaten the chiefs because that 2022 jags gave us 1996 jags vibes@@mastajags
I know the season isn’t over yet, but my lions could be put on this list. We started 1-6 now we’re currently going into the Jets game with a 6-7 record, and a lot of momentum.
KTOOOOOOOO! Never knew the 0-2, 0-3, and 0-4 odds were so low for making playoff seeing how it was only the beginning of the year. Like there is still a lot of football to be played at the beginning of the season. Interesting stuff. "Balanced as all things should." - Thanos approved lol. Appreciate the video!
one of my favorite cowboy seasons was 2018, started 3-5 and ran the table to finish 10-6 after trading for cooper. i just wish our defense was as elite in the post season as it was during the regular seasons that year. it was awesome watching them upset the saints that year, everyone thought they would blow us out and we beat the most dominant nfl team that year.
Super late so this probably won't be seen but the wildest thing about the 2009 Broncos & Titans is that Brett Kern was on the Broncos for their 6-0 start and then was released and signed by the Titans. Their swap in fate completely coincided with Brett Kern going from Denver to Tennessee.
Titans could’ve been on here like 7 different times. They’ve had a crazy amount of mid season turnarounds. Some notable ones are, 1993, 2002, 2006, 2009, and 2019. Also the 2006 and 2009 season were almost like mirrors of each other for the titans. And 1993 and 2002 they both started 1-4 but ended up winning the division
As a Packers fan, the first example that comes to mind is 2016 when the Packers started 4-6 and had lost their last four games in a row. The Packers honestly didn’t look very good and Rodgers was underperforming. Then Rodgers says that he thinks they can run the table and make the playoffs. I’ll be honest I didn’t think the Packers were gonna be able to pull it off, just based off of how poorly they had been playing. Luckily, the Packers would come out and play great for the last 6 games of the season and Rodgers played incredible during that 6-week span. The Packers finished 10-6 and beat the Giants and Cowboys in the playoffs but lost in the Championship game to Atlanta. Due to running the table, 2016 was one of my favorite football seasons.
I'm sure it has been talked about before, but one thing with the Chargers of the early 90's that I remember is they were always good in alternate years. They would play a last place schedule, win, and then get a first place schedule the next year and lose. So then getting the last place schedule the following year and winning again.
I remember as a Cowboys fan in 2018 I thought our season was done after we lost to the Titans and fell to 3-5, that Amari Cooper traded was a game changer as we went from 3-5 to 10-6

Another Great 1 From my guy KTO ....
KTO, I love your videos! My all time favorite UA-camr! Whenever I see you dropped a new video, I instantly drop what I’m doing and watch it. Thanks for everything you’ve dropped so far and praying for many more videos with your expertise! Take care, I appreciate all your hard work!
I was a very young child in Nashville the day of that cardinals game. You unlocked a memory.
@Coogan just entirely an adult now
This video should be sponsored by the Detroit lions. I've grown up a lions fan my whole life. When "experts" were giving season predictions they all said 7 or 8 wins. I said 10 to 12 wins or 2 to 4 wins. There's no in between with a team like the lions and I respect that consistency
As a lifelong Lions fan I know exactly what you mean.
My thoughts and prayers go lions fans its been a rough 60 or 70 years.😆
As a raiders fan I’m watching this and praying we can turn this thing around we’re 1-4 losing all games less the 7 points and I needed this video the being hope
The 1996 Divisional Round between the Jags and Broncos will always be one of the biggest upsets of all time!
Love watching your vids keep the coming -God bless you and your family
Them* hahaha😂😭

Warren Moon's last season for the Houston Oilers, they started the season 1-4 and ended the season 12-4. 11 straight wins.
I started watching ur videos before middle school and I’m now a junior in high school keep putting up quality content ur my favorite sport UA-camr
'22 Lions are definitely worth a mention if theres ever an updated version!
Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Thunder and lightning all so under rated.
Kto thanks for posting videos always waiting for you to post
My chiefs started 1-5 to 11-5 went to playoffs that was a great moment for me as a chiefs fan
What is the music at 0:33?
That 2016 Season for the Packers was the wildest roller coaster ride ever
I think you missed out on the 2008 Eagles. Went from 5-5-1 (and their franchise QB benched at halftime) to the NFC championship game. I may be biased since I am from Philly, but I feel like that was truly one of the most insane turnarounds in NFL history.
One of the funniest moments in NFL history to me is Donovan McNabb's postgame interview after that tie. "I didn't know you could tie." As a Bengals fan who watched my team be a part of that tie, little did I know that my team would be a part of so many weird ties since.
As a jags fan I'm happy to see them on here and do well for once
To bring you back to reality, even back then without Brady. You found some way to lose to the patriots 🤣
@@kinocorner976 you act like drew was a terrible qb are something
@@ashtonwhite7077 99 percent of Pats fans are bandwagon Brady fans. Bledsoe was a very good QB. Jags fan myself and I can acknowledge it.
It's crazy that both 1995 expansion teams made their respective conference championships the following season.
What a Super Bowl that would've been
Yeah what if
Crazy
It wouldve been thr greatest SB in NFL history
It wouldve changed the league by a mile
I remember in 2019 when the titans were 2-4 benched mariota and Tannehill surprised everyone
That's exactly what I was thinking. One of the bigger turn arounds to date, and probably the best back to back playoff rushing performances ever.
My Steelere 2022 most shocking tournaround ever
We were 2-6 we sopposed to tank since than we shocked everyone with a 6-2 record no one even our fans didn't believe we can do it
Ended Tom Brady in NE & took down the Truss Ravens
nuts to think both the Jaguars and Panthers were so close to an expansion team super bowl
mark brunell goat.
Kevin look what you did
I'm really glad that Mark Brunell was able to get a ring with the Saints.
Those Jags teams were frickin fun to watch. Brunell being Steve Young lite and Jimmy Smith, Kenan McCardelle, etc
Mark Brunell took me to dinner and never called me back
That's terrible what a jerk for not calling you back.
been watching you for a while love the content from one sports lover to another keep up the good work
I love the respect for the '96 jags. I wish I could time travel just to see it in person
Well you can’t so thats a bummer. Stupid suggestion on your end.
This is one of your best videos
As a lions fan, thank you, I needed this
Stacy James god helped you this year
The Lions did an amazing midseason tournaround they staeted 1-6 and are now 8-8 even recieved attention from media duribg that hot run
My Steelers also started 2-6 and i wanted tanking but we went 6-2 sinve and are still alive at 8-8
Hopefully both of our teams make the postseason
@@jonathanfrimerman8855 thanks man, good luck !
Nice Phineas and Ferb reference!
Titans in 2023
Started out 3-7
But than they upset Miami in week 14 and will probably beat the Texans once and Seahawks and mybe also Jags week 18
Which will put them 8-9
You could do a whole video of Bills collapses during the playoff drought. So many 5-2 records evaporating by week 12.
KTO, I hope you know you’re a psychic. I was literally thinking about this the other day, and here you are providing the quality content!
Another absolute banger as always!
Awesome video as always
Most criminally underrated UA-camr of all time
You are under arrest
let’s go the goat uploaded
As a titans fan that’s been watching kto for years. I much appreciate all the love kto has been showing us lately. Usually nobody cares about our history or our team😂
He's probably showing the Titans all the love now because he knows they won't be here in January. (This is just a joke, don't crucify me, please!)
Im a bears fan, what got me really in to football was the 2018 season. Started off 3-3, (which I know isn’t that bad) but they only lost one game the rest of the season. Eddie Jackson was (and is) so underrated.
What is it with Washington QB’s and leg/knee injuries? Joe Theismann, RG3, Alex Smith…
Kyle Allen.
And given the extreme cultural toxicity we've heard about behind the scenes, it's almost certainly not a coincidence. 😖😖😖
Ima be truthful here kto is my favorite football documentary/sport documentary guy on UA-cam, sadly he is barely recognized by the people on UA-cam😢
what you mean by that? he's got 650k subs
What is the music at 0:33?
1996 was also the season that the Jags' expansion admission counterparts, the Carolina Panthers, made it to the NFC's Conference Championship game.
kto and baseballdoesntexist have to be some of the best sports content on youtube.
i love your vids bro!!! you’re amazing
Stan Humphries is possibly the most under appreciated quarterback of the 90s.
i concur ..
Yeah not many quarterbacks can say they got a Superbowl and also get crushed by the 49ers.
@@dustinsindledecker154
But he won a ring as a backup to Mark Rypien in Washington.
Phi yeah he did win a ring with the redskins I forgot he was ever on that team.
I love the grind bro I’ve been watching since 2017
The broncos this year are having a season turn around.
Keep up the uploads KTO
Praying the 2023 Broncos get added to this list
Using this video to manifest my 0-5 fantasy team’s comeback
The second year Jags and Panthers.. I was pulling for an expansion team Super Bowl at the time. Both teams were on fire, lol.
The Panthers beat the 90's Cowboys
Seattle once made the playoffs with a losing record and beat the Saints in that playoff game .
They actually hosts the Saints.
Absolutely amazing how last video ley into the next
Love the video KTO 🤙🏾
2022 Titans started 7-3 than lost 7 straight and missed the playoffs
2022 Steelers and Lions started 1-6 and 2-6 respectively both of them ended 9-8
Jaguars also started 2-6 and finished 9-8
The Jets started 6-3 but than won just one of their final 8 games to finish 7-10 losing their last 6 games
That 2022 Jags kinda copied the 1996 Jags
They started 4-8 than made a run 5 straight and won the division
Than beat the Chargers in an historic 27 point comeback and I wished they would’ve beaten the chiefs because that 2022 jags gave us 1996 jags vibes@@mastajags
@@mastajagsand a year later coppied the 2008 jets by starting 8-3 and missing the postseason

Gonna need another one of these for this season
always a good day with a KTO upload
Love this channel
Super late so this probably won't be seen but the wildest thing about the 2009 Broncos & Titans is that Brett Kern was on the Broncos for their 6-0 start and then was released and signed by the Titans. Their swap in fate completely coincided with Brett Kern going from Denver to Tennessee.
Still one of the coldest outros on the internet...it never gets old
Titans could’ve been on here like 7 different times.
I love seeing my Saints in this video as Superbowl Winners. 2009-2010 was an incredible years for Saints fans
This video made me appreciate Andrew Luck more.
I hope he’s doing well in graduate school.
I'm sure it has been talked about before, but one thing with the Chargers of the early 90's that I remember is they were always good in alternate years. They would play a last place schedule, win, and then get a first place schedule the next year and lose. So then getting the last place schedule the following year and winning again.
That last minute drive from the titans game was epic. Everyone thought that vince had arrived
Love the pick! Brunell was fun to watch.
I remember as a Cowboys fan in 2018 I thought our season was done after we lost to the Titans and fell to 3-5, that Amari Cooper traded was a game changer as we went from 3-5 to 10-6
