I wish there were more models of these F1 and Indy cars. I think they look so unique and are absolutely beautiful. I will enjoy watching this build, Wayne.
Most beautiful F1 car ever..
1984 was Aryton Senna,s 1st debut with Lotus Renualt F1 team
I remember this F1 and it had the John Player logo on it , I haven't done a car build but will on this one as it reminds me of the time I got into Formula 1❤
😮just noticed the Blockbusters sign on the wall 😮 looks really cool 😊
Fantastic model. I want it now. I've seen this car in real life at Goodwood. If you or any of your viewers haven't watched the documentary 'Senna' I'd recommend it very highly indeed. Looking forward to seeing this one come together.
You really should put the JPS decals on for authenticity. They aren't on the car today but they were when Senna was driving this car.
I do like the music that plays during the end, nothing like some classical music now then!
Hi wayne I remember tamyia doing these modle cars in the 70.80s I did build two of them
Brilliant Wayne… I have just placed my order… fabulous car and a great driver. It is really good to see a pragmatic approach to sponsorship logos the black and gold livery was always JPS. I’m really looking forward to my build. Thanks again for a great video.
Looking good Wayne...... 👍👍
Very glad your doing this build, started mine last week. Honestly promised myself I wouldn't do another partwork unless the 97T came along. Was sure it wouldn't 😂. Have already seen enough build vids to know this will be a really fantastic build. Just hope deagostini don't muck about too much this time though. They're already talking about delays on package 2 because of high demand...
I like a new kit build. It looks like you're in for a "Good Year"
Lol. I will never “tyre” of your puns
Going to be epic dude , bit of a bang head here over the sponsor's decals could go on a two hour rant about it 😂😂
Absolutely love this one!! Only hoping it will come out in Australia.
Great video Wayne … looks a lovely build & I am glad they have supplied the JPS logos too .. even on the real car .. they had to not have those logos on at certain races. Even when I went to the British Grand Prix in 1999.. Damon Hill’s Jordan which was sponsored by Benson & Hedges .. was cleverly altered to read “Buzzin Hornets” .. it was a bright yellow car with black lettering & a large hornets head on each side of the nose.
I just subscribed as I LOVE Senna and the 97
Oh I love this car, I hope the model is a fun build. Shame I'd have nowhere to put it or I'd be tempted.
Loving it another nice poster
Hi Wayne ein schönes Model für eine Legende
good vid nice buil keep up the good vid thanks lee
🙋
Use to have this as a kid with jp on it !!!
Now Wayne I like your video and I see you got the magazine for that car now those clowns at DeAgostini are telling me that the magazine don't come with the parts when I can plainly see that the magazine does come with the packs so that's why I can understand why there lying to me like that when it's really clear that the magazine do come with the parts
Awesome
I just bought some coffee Kraken, and I c wot u mean about being smooth
It's moorish
Great new build 💞💞🍺🍺🇦🇺
If I was making this model, I would have no problem
with using the JPS logos etc, as they are part of the car's history.
Hi Wayne, great video from you, great partwork modekit, great historical F1 car and the best driver ever!
For placing the decals, you may have a look at "Mr. Mark Softer" and "Mr. Mark Setter" 😉
Yup as it was all strightline speed back then 1400BHP
Got your blockbuster ticket up I see
Oh yes
cool
Website says: Original sponsorship decals are delivered as separate stickers that you can apply onto your finished model
Yep. I showed them I. This video
This looks beautiful! I'd love to do it but I have too much going on for my wallet to handle another build
Nice F1 model, to bad ist not available to order to Sweden 😢 I would love to build it 😀
Wasn't John Player Special part of that car. Rewriting history people did smoke and was advertised everywhere.
This looks great, i did the MP4/4, some of the parts could have been better. What is the quality of this one like ?. Its going to cost near on £1500, do you think it will be worth it. I want it, but quality issues can be annoying.
All these 1:8 models come in around that price. Compared to off the shelf models I have seen they are definitely worth it
This car is what me smoking JPS
See, I loved Blockbuster as much as the next guy (spent all of my pocket money at one near the Newlands), but where's the Enterprise plaque?! How will you boldly go?!
It will be back when the refit is finished
Hi Wayne, thanks for the tips - just finished part 2 and that wire rear wing cross bar mount on yours and mine is not taught, but it should be. Any ideas how to get it tight - bit new to this modelling business so don't want to go fiddlin' without much experience. Cheers.
Nor is mine. I don't want to fiddle to much or I will end up breaking it
@@WorldofWayneUK Turns out it doesn't have to be rigid - they talk about it at 4.18 on the video in the Lotus workshops (on DeAgostino 97T page). Was put on by mechanics on the morning of the race. A photo, in the background of the video, shows it to be a wire and not totally tight. It;'s still a bit too wobbly for my liking though. If I find a workaround, I'll let you know.
Great build i love watching your videos, bur quick question i am thinking of doing the Eiffel tower build from ixo collections what glue would i need for a clear dry on the cable's for the fiber optics on the tower thanks Chris
You are limited to PVA I’m afraid. Any other glue or resin will just break the optic fibre
@@WorldofWayneUK thanks 👍 I will use that
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Like video
How about doing the Hachette Unimog 406. It would make a nice change to do a truck instead of cars. You do a good job keep up the good work
Hi there, I am still waiting for my first pack after subscribing on the 07/08/23 and my package was send out on the 21st of August! I’m really concerned plus they keep on telling me it takes upto 14 days delivery! Do you know if they ship these from the UK?
It can take up to 28 days. I'm still waiting for a package from the 10th August
Just subscribed to your channel, I’m amazed at these models. Do you think they will ever make a MK1 Escort Rally Car?
Nothing out there yet but I would so like to see that
The Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico is one of the golden old school cars of the early70,s
Great looking car. Doesn't have any electrics, but very nice addition to a collection. For those of us who are not NASCAR fans, do they offer suggestions where the decals should be placed?
I’m guessing it’s up to you to follow the original placement from past pictures
I'm pretty sure it does actually have electrics ,engine noise. It has an ignition switch... check out Diegohd vids
DiegoHDM even!
@@stuartwelsford8909 I confirmed with DeAgnostini that this model does not have any electrics.
How many Wayne heads are equal to the poster size 🤔 😊
A fair few lol
Just to ask as i can not see the information on the website how many parts/issues are there in this build?
Loving the new build.
Stay safe all.
110 stages
Fanhome will probs bring it out as afuture build 😉🏎
how many packs in total? I saw one guy who had 81 to 110 packs. so Does that mean it's 110 packs or 29?
It's 110 stages so about 25 or so packs
I never even thought of UA-cam gettin' their shorts in a twist about the JPS Logos. Quite a different world in the 30 years since I was in High School....it was nothing for us to wear shirts with cigarette and alcohol logos on them. My favorite sweatshirt in High School was a from Marlboro.
Just seen this advertised on you tube how many issue's do you need to buy.
it comes in Packs and its normally 25 so 100 stages
@@WorldofWayneUK so like how much would that be then
Is there no way to buy the complete kit right away?
No
@@WorldofWayneUK ah sad, I would have done that in a heartbeat.
this available in the U.S.?
Not at this time I’m afraid
Hi Wayne ...you got a brochure and the magazines...
I didn't get anything...they said I had to print mine out...
If your not going to keep yours...can I have them or I'm willing to buy them from you...
That makes me mad I didn't get that...what a crock...
Best regards mate...
Robin I will put them aside for you. Can you send me your address by email?
How very deagostini that is
Dam you Wayne, 16 issues away from Finnishing the F40 and thinking about Titanic and you throw JPS Lotus at me 🦘🇦🇺👍❤️
😂😂
Warning I subscribed for the 1/8 GT40. I received and paid for 14 months of subscriptions then they stopped arriving but still charged me. I’ve reached out to DeAgostini several times over the past few months. Their response. They’re working on it. Still no resolution
Why oh why in this nanny state world we live in can’t we show a racing car 1985 in all its proper glory.
The black and gold was Lotus and JPS as McLaren and Marlborough in his later cars.
It’s just pathetic that so much control we are under these days
Wayne do a special link at the end of the build so normal people can see what a fantastic looking car this was in its day, that way you won’t effend those idiots that don’t believe in personnel responsibility about what they see…….rant over
The start of this build is a bit disappointing due to the lack of metal parts.
Compare to deagostini mclaren mp4/4 which I also built this one is actually mostly metal, the mclaren was more or less all plastic. Plus this one has carbon fibre pattern everywhere... as an f1 model builder, trust me, this build will be great
@@stuartwelsford8909Didn,t Deagostini also bring out a1:8th scale Redbull Racing F1 car as well? 🤔🤷♂️
How much do you make from these videos, a few pounds? I would just put the decals on in the video. its a snowflake world we live in.
This is my job. I don’t want to risk anything
