Some of you can LYAO, but I've bent those (without the kink) and they do work. They work if you need to change direction and can't install a pull box. I over bend, then draw a perpendicular line across the stub end, straight over to the conduit, mark and bend to a 90.
I use a shepards hook the most when coming thru a wall and need to run along the wall once I come thru, that is if I don't wanna mount a box and run out the side of it. Mainly for lighting circuits in a room with a drop ceiling.

There is science/math to get it exactly how you want, it’s called knowing how to apply center of bend calculations

Bend 90 first.
Slide bender back a few inches and bend your offset.
