I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
There is no way around the math like anything else you have to practice to get good at it. Last night I passed my College Algebra final with an 80%. It was my fourth time taking algebra and one of the happiest moments I can remember. Someone once said, it's not the destination but the journey..."
I just started nursing a few days ago and have been freaking out over the math. Like you I struggled through high school with math, but this video really calmed my nerves so Thank You!
This is a great video! I'm considering nursing school at 44. I think I have a math phobia and that makes it hard for me to push through the blockage, but once I get going I enjoy the process and detail. Crazy but real. Thank you for talking about making mistakes - that's my biggest fear and you addressed it. Thank you for your honesty!
Omg thank you for the courage to share this video because I let math stop me for years! But I'm happy to say I'm currently enrolled in nursing school, just started this week! Once again thank you
Hi Apsu! Your welcome :) Thanks so much for letting me know that it helped!! Congratulations for making it into nursing school!! Such a big accomplishment already!! Looking forward to hearing from you again soon! xoxo - Caroline
Wow, I don’t know how you believe, but God totally used you and this video to speak to me! Math is not a strong suit for me, and neither is science. I recently got accepted to nursing school and decided to put it off for a semester because of the math and the entrance exam I didn’t do as well with the math. You really encouraged my souI . I know putting yourself out there and speaking of weaknesses, downfalls and mistakes is not easy. I am so glad you allowed yourself to do this. You are very humble! I know this video was posted several years ago but it resonates strongly with me. God bless you!
THIS is what has STOPPED me year after year after year until i just gave up. Im now 30yrs old and while im scared im going to try again i cant count on one hand how many times ive given up!!🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I never was good at math and this has stopped me in life soooooo much my parents weren’t good either and my dad yelled and threatened me when i couldn’t get a math problem right or remember when i was a small child in elementary school so my brain is forever traumatized and this fear never went away!
Nursing School: “You failed your dosage calculation test...you’re out of the program.” Me: “what are you talking about?! I literally got every question correct” Nursing School: “you didn’t set up every equation exactly like we wanted you to”
Thanks Caroline, I have completed the LPN course and take my NCLEX on the 23rd Aug 2014, then start the ADN to BSN program in October.. Your video's and book have helped a lot. Thanks for always be a positive force.
You are the best!!!Thank you so much for being so honest and sharing so much of yourself. I also used to struggle in school and was very hesitant to do nursing but now at 40 I am going back and I'm so encouraged by all of your information and all of your videos. God bless!!!
Shannon Looper That's awesome! I'm so happy to hear from you. Thank you very much for letting me know. It means a lot. Can't wait to see you here again soon. -xoxo!!
After getting injured at work I am looking into going back to school for nursing. I am so happy to find your videos. Thank you for sharing your struggles in school. I have a bachelors degree in business...but school has always been hard for me. I was like a c student in highschool. It prevented me from going to school for nursing cause I kept saying I was not smart. Your just so motivating!!
Farmer Vicheth Hi Farmer! Thank you so much for letting me know that you like the videos!! We are so much smarter than we give ourselves credit for! It won't be easy... but it will be worth it ;) Looking forward to joining you on your journey!! Much Love, - Caroline
I’m stumbling on this 6 year old video but wow. I’m currently studying to get my veterinary technician certification and this video helped my self esteem but also helped with the equation...such an easy thing to remember!
Wow you just made me cry because I struggle with this myself just how you dealt with it I did too but I didn't get as far to college algebra I just gave up because I couldn't pass my developmental math classes and I too want to be a nurse and math is the only thing that keeps me from getting my degree in something
I will be in my last semester and I saved math for last ,college algebra and I feel like anxiety takes over but to hear your story helped me to no I can make it ! Thanks
Sugga Sweet Awe so glad to hear that! Thanks so much for letting me know!! It is a lot of work, but with discipline & focus, you can do this ;) Looking forward to hearing from you again very soon! Much Love, - Caroline
Wow, you are really amazing. The scariest thing for me about nursing, is the math. But you have fully and completely motivated me. Seeing the struggles that you went through and how far you've come. Thank you so much
Math has never been something I was good at. I was feeling a bit scared about how nursing math would be like but I feel better now that I have an idea of how its like. Thank you so much for this!

Your story is so similar to mine! I've had to take remedial math and it has always been my worse subject. This is my first semester in the nursing program and the dosage calculations and math I'll need to do for class has been stressing me out. Thank you for this video!
Hello! I know this has been almost 6 years since this video posted. I'm nursing school right now, dosage calculation exam is coming up. I am no math wizard, never have been. This video has helped. I am going to keep up at it and just keep practicing problems on ATI until I am confident. Good luck to all who are taking these exams.
Thank you for sharing your story. I also have a learning disability and had trouble in college math. I freaked out about having to pass a test each semester on dosage calcs. I felt a bit discouraged until I saw your video. thanks!!
Seriously, thank you for this video. I've been considering going to nursing school but have felt extremely reluctant because I was never very proficient in math (huge understatement) and only somewhat decent in science. I'm definitely going to do my best to brush up on math/algebra basics before the start of the term. Again, thank you. I really needed to know that it was possible to be a nurse without having a strong background in math. For a long time I figured that math was an innate talent--something some people were naturally good at and others weren't. In hindsight I realize that that was something I convinced myself to believe so it wouldn't bother me so much when I had to put serious effort into something other people breezed through. Once again, thanks!

Thank you for this video! I've watched a lot of yours and somehow never saw this one til now. I'm currently studying through my algebra class and start the nursing program at the end of this month. This gives me hope!
Been watching you even before I started nursing school, just wanted to let you know your videos are such an encouragement! :) Got a perfect grade with all my classes! I utilized your tips, especially the skimming-through-the-chapter-underlining-for-5-minutes, on reading! Thank you, I do hope you do more of the match,o-chem, and patho/pharm!
Just came across this video, and you gave me so much hope! I dropped out of school in 10th grade and now 22 getting my ged and hopefully by august will start nursing school, math terrifies me..
I can relate so much with this video , I have always struggled with math , especially in highschool . This is the one thing I’m super nervous about , I start nursing program in August , but after getting an idea of what kind of math is involved I feel so much better.
Maths is definitely one of the things i'm worried about in becoming a nurse, this put my mind to rest a bit! Love your videos they've given me such a good idea about nursing!
Thank you for this video!! I want to become a nurse and I'm currently a junior in high school but I've been freaking out lately because I'm not the best at math. Your video helped me believe that I can still become a nurse even if I'm not a genius at math! :)
Thank you so much for this video. I have a learning disability and I am afraid that I won't do good and my mom was a nurse and so I have some experience with the job.
Wow I thought I would never find a nurse who went through remedial math in college! It’s difficult but I know with more confidence and perseverance all things can be achieved! I will not give up on my dream of becoming a military nurse ! It will be done ✅
ManTexDal Awe thanks so much for letting me know that it helped!! Study hard & stay focused! You can do this ;) Looking forward to seeing you on here gain soon! Much Love, - Caroline
Same I had learning issues and I was just diagnosed with ADD three mouths ago. I always get tired and wasn't motivated to do stuff and felt depressed and I couldn't stay focused and it was hard for me to learn math and felt like my brain didn't care about important aspects in life. But now I'm on medication for my ADD and everyday I'm getting better and I'm now in nursing school.
Hello! I just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed reading your first book. I have taken several notes and have been using the suggestions. Also, if you had time to do another Math video that would be great. I have trouble when the units do not match. Thank you for caring so much to help others.
Shannon Hoppe Hi Shannon! It is so nice to hear from you! Thank you so much for letting me know that you have enjoyed the book! Also, thank you for the video suggestions :) I do have 4 videos in total though... here are the links: @0QaN1BvI3Vk@3lZeoU11GAg@BAI4hJDwui4@jThCYCw8qcYLet me know if you want to see even more math videos though lol ;)I look forward to hearing from you again soon!Much Love,- CarolineP.S. when you get a chance, could you do me a huge favor & give the book a rating on amazon? I would really appreciate it :)Looking forward to hearing from you again very soon!xoxo!!!
I love your vids and all the helpful advice you offer! I'm really bad at math too and was worried about it because as a nurse calculating something wrong could be very dangerous. We just blew through pharm and med-math in 17 days! is that normal? We learned the DA calculations and they were really easy, just like you were demonstrating. But I suggest people watch vids on DA calculations before getting into nursing school because even though it's really simple, once you are under the stress of school it will be harder. Just memorize the formula, there are only a couple of things to memorize and you will ace med-math!
Hi Reiven! So nice to see you on here again! Thanks so much for the comment... I really enjoy making the videos for you :) It is not too uncommon for nursing schools to blow right though this... we didn't spend too much time on it either. That is why I thought some videos could help :) Thanks for sharing some advice for newbies too!! See you soon!! xoxo - Caroline
thank you for sharing alot of people would have been ashamed to admit that but thank you because just from you making this video you have helped me so much
Anytime Tee, I have realized that when we admit our imperfections... then it can inspire others to go after their dreams too :) Thank you for letting me know that it helped you!! Looking forward to seeing you again soon! Much Love, - Caroline
Please do more math videos. In school i was horrible at math, I feel like if I see what type of math I'll be doing as a nurse ahead of time I can study it and be ready for the real thing. Thanks
I think that other classes were easy to you after taking math, Your brain got train to think harder and math being one of the harder subjects made it possible. I'm an engineering student and I had to take some math classes more than once, but now every other class looks so easy. Even my job use to be a pain since I have to use some algebra and geometry, but now I do it without even thinking about it. Oh I'm a carpenter by the way. Good video.
This video came at the perfect time! The nursing program that I have been on the waitlist for a year now has just upped the math requirements and they will not grandfather anyone who is on the list in under the old requirement. More math for me ugh....
I love all your videos and your stories-u definitely encourage me to be a nurse even I always thought I sucked in math but with determination and preparation I can do it!! thanks!!!
Adrian Jean Hi Adrian! Thank so much for letting me know! I really do believe that with enough determination you will get there :) Looking forward to seeing you again soon!! xoxo - Caroline
I'm so glad that you watched this! Yes, don't let the math stop you! It's not always easy... but I do think it is doable :) Thanks for the comment :) xoxo
Thank you thank you! I've only watched 2 minutes of ur video because my kids are running around super loud and I've turned the volume up as high as I can lol, but this is alway putting me more at ease, I'm doing my pre-reqs right now and I'm doing TERRIBLE but my teacher has offered to help me outside of class... I can do addition/subtraction/multiplaction in my head quick but algebra is kicking my butt
I want to do math problems when I don’t need to ask for help especially when I am a RN. I want to educate others and be happy and cheerful I am part of the medical field as a Registered Nurse, someday. Math is very important in life for a lot of things.
+uniqueunique28 Hi love!! You are far from alone... since sharing this video I cannot tell you how many people have told me that they relate to this problem. Our problems do not have to define us.... although it can be harder for us to overcome these problems... if we continue to search, we can find a way :) Looking forward to seeing you on here again soon! xoxo - Caroline
Thanks for the encouragement, Caroline! I'm also bad at math and it's one of my least favorite subject, well if not the least. I've failed on this subject a couple of times when I was a student but thankfully I was able to make it somehow. I'm not really a fan of any subjects that requires solving skills. LOL. Thanks for tackling this topic. BTW, I'm going to take the NCLEX early next year. Hope I can make it. Anyways, have a wonderful Christmas with your family! :) - John
kimberly route Hi Kimberly! I have these also :) Links to Math Videos!!@0@3ua-cam.com/video/BAI4hJDwui4h/v-deo.htmlttp://ua-cam.com/video/jThCYCw8qcY/v-deo.html
Thank You so much for your videos! OMG I have the same exact story as you. Had to take so much math to get to the pre-req's. I'm a LPN right now but going into a bridge program to be a RN and I"m so nervous again about the math. Having trouble with conversions.
I am a community college math professor ie the *obstacle* in many people’s dream of becoming a nurse (not that I put them in that course ;-) As you can imagine, I get a lot of nursing candidates who are frustrated about having to struggle through something they don’t think relates to their career plans. I know I will share your video with some of them because you have the right attitude about it. I am actually working on a book to try to inspire people to persist through the math portion of their college program (not nurse specific) and I hope I will be as inspiring as you. I admire how you seem to have considered going through life content with relying on your other attributes, but eventually came to want more. (You didn’t want to say your looks, but it’s obvious to anyone watching ;-) One great thing about your video too is when you talk about all the extraneous information in a real life scenario. Of course you’re right! But god forbid I put numbers in a word problem that you don’t “need”! Anyway, great video and I’m sure I will be sharing it.
+Chaz Maz Hi Chaz! Thank you so much for the wonderful note! I would love for you to share this video with anyone that needs a little bit of inspiration. If you told me in high school that one day I would be good at math, be on the deans list and graduate nursing school with honors... I would have laughed at you. I know now that ANYTHING is possible with an open mind, resiliency and focus. Best of luck on your book! Let me know when it's done! I have several books on amazon as well :) By the way, if you don't mind always posting a new comment... replies are super hard for me to see, it's just the way youtube is set up. Warm Regards, - Caroline
I love your videos thanks for sharing. I am 20 years old and a mother of a two year old and I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse my whole life. I am trying to get into nursing school. I have one year left of prerequisites. I have the options to get my ADN at the community college or my BSN transfer to a University since I can get both done in four years I wanted to get my BSN, but the only difference is the BSN you take another harder level of math before being accepted. Once I knew that I got scared and wanted to go for my ADN and not try for my BSN. This video has helped me very much I still am scared because I don't know if the BSN nursing school is harder than the ADN program. I have a good GPA because I have been working my butt off, but I don't know if I can do good in Nursing school also because I also have another responsibility. Many people have told me you need a BSN to be in the labor and delivery, Is this true? Thanks again for your videos you inspire me!
This made me feel so much better about nurse math, and math In general. It's the one thing I'm worried about to become an RN.
Awesome Lisa!
I'm so glad to hear that!
I really just wanted you guys to know that this was very doable :)
Nice to see you again!!

I’m interested in this please do more videos!! 😊 thank you for sharing your story. I’m feeling better
Just got uplifted after seeing dis video. My fears are gradually becoming an history, thank u.
It will be done ✅
i was never good at math, but once i got a good grip on the dosage calculations, i felt much better.
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing.
Nice to see you again!

Thank you for being so honest!👑
Also, thank you for the video suggestions :)

Just wanted to let you know that I finished my review on Amazon! :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH !! I struggle with the same thing .. This vid has made me believe in myself so much!
+Zach Wable
That's awesome!
Thanks a lot for letting me know.
Makes all the effort worth it. :)
and you're welcome.
I'll see on here again soon.

+EmpoweRN you should upload some more vids of how nursing is going :)
I really enjoy making the videos for you :)
It is not too uncommon for nursing schools to blow right though this... we didn't spend too much time on it either.
That is why I thought some videos could help :)
Thanks for sharing some advice for newbies too!!
See you soon!!

Math is where i stumble
+Julius Cheeseboro it is repetition Julius, trust me... the prerequisite classes are much harder than this. You can do it 😉
Julius Cheeseboro same and I want to be a nurse but I am amazing at English!
Basically gotta get "Proportions" down to the tee. I start next month, no math wiz kid either. Thanx Caroline
Thank you so Much!! I can’t wait to start nursing school now. I was so afraid of the math, I was never good at it in high school.
This inspired me so much as a highschool student that literally can't do math to save my life.
thank you for sharing alot of people would have been ashamed to admit that but thank you because just from you making this video you have helped me so much
Anytime Tee,
I have realized that when we admit our imperfections... then it can inspire others to go after their dreams too :)
Thank you for letting me know that it helped you!!
Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Much Love,

Please do more math videos. In school i was horrible at math, I feel like if I see what type of math I'll be doing as a nurse ahead of time I can study it and be ready for the real thing. Thanks
I think that other classes were easy to you after taking math, Your brain got train to think harder and math being one of the harder subjects made it possible. I'm an engineering student and I had to take some math classes more than once, but now every other class looks so easy. Even my job use to be a pain since I have to use some algebra and geometry, but now I do it without even thinking about it. Oh I'm a carpenter by the way. Good video.
***** Hi Alexi!
That could be true :D
Thanks so much for sharing! It means a lot!!
See you soon I hope!!

This video came at the perfect time! The nursing program that I have been on the waitlist for a year now has just upped the math requirements and they will not grandfather anyone who is on the list in under the old requirement. More math for me ugh....
This is easier than I thought! Thank you!
Thanks Kimberly. You make it so easy.
ophburke Hi Love! You are so welcome. By the way it's Caroline. -xoxo!!
***** . Oops. I do apologize Caroline
I love all your videos and your stories-u definitely encourage me to be a nurse even I always thought I sucked in math but with determination and preparation I can do it!! thanks!!!
Adrian Jean Hi Adrian!
Thank so much for letting me know!
I really do believe that with enough determination you will get there :)
Looking forward to seeing you again soon!!

Just sub mg for apples. Doctor orders 100 apples and you have bags of 25 apples, so you give 4 bags!
Thank you for this video. Nursing has been something I have wanted to do for a long time, but the fear at failing the math has kept me from trying.
I'm so glad that you watched this!
Yes, don't let the math stop you!
It's not always easy... but I do think it is doable :)
Thanks for the comment :)
xoxo
Thank you ,you understand what I am going though .
you are amazing and really inspiring me I can't wait for nursing school
Your videos are my biggest motivators :)
This does seem pretty easy, thank you so much!
This was very helpful and encouraging to me. Thank you so much.
+Dream Catchers
You are so welcome!
Thanks for letting me know.
I appreciate it a lot.
Can't wait to hear from you again.

I would love to see some IV math videos, as well as giving mini bags of antibiotics etc!
I want to do math problems when I don’t need to ask for help especially when I am a RN. I want to educate others and be happy and cheerful I am part of the medical field as a Registered Nurse, someday. Math is very important in life for a lot of things.
Also thank you for sharing this because I felt alone
+uniqueunique28
Hi love!!
You are far from alone... since sharing this video I cannot tell you how many people have told me that they relate to this problem.
Our problems do not have to define us.... although it can be harder for us to overcome these problems... if we continue to search, we can find a way :)
Looking forward to seeing you on here again soon!
xoxo
- Caroline
Thank you for the encouragement!!
i hope you add more calculation problem ie iv and injections..thanks for the encouagement
- John
Well done. You are very intelligent.
This legit helped me wow please do more!!!
Yes pls show us more of these videos pls
These are really simple dosage calculations. I am a CMA and the calculations I dealt with in medical assisting school were much more challenging.
Need more of the math problems.
kimberly route Hi Kimberly!
I have these also :)

Thank You so much for your videos! OMG I have the same exact story as you. Had to take so much math to get to the pre-req's. I'm a LPN right now but going into a bridge program to be a RN and I"m so nervous again about the math. Having trouble with conversions.
I am a community college math professor ie the *obstacle* in many people’s dream of becoming a nurse (not that I put them in that course ;-)
As you can imagine, I get a lot of nursing candidates who are frustrated about having to struggle through something they don’t think relates to their career plans.
(You didn’t want to say your looks, but it’s obvious to anyone watching ;-)
One great thing about your video too is when you talk about all the extraneous information in a real life scenario. Of course you’re right! But god forbid I put numbers in a word problem that you don’t “need”!
Anyway, great video and I’m sure I will be sharing it.
+Chaz Maz
Hi Chaz!
I have several books on amazon as well :)
By the way, if you don't mind always posting a new comment... replies are super hard for me to see, it's just the way youtube is set up.
Warm Regards,
- Caroline
Her looks? Why did you even have to go there? Jesus
Loved this I'm really considering the career. And it made me feel a lot more comfortable thank you :)
To be a good nurse it comes from inside it comes naturally
Just wondering what did you decide to do? Im kinda in the same boat
Thank you!!! I'm happy I found your channel :-)
thank you so much i needed this! i love your channel!
She's 500 Milligrams of purdy!
Very helpful! Please do more videos =)
