@Christian Espinoza no. The definition of grit is to work hard and grind toward your degree. To not give up and to prove the haters wrong. You can do it. And if you fail keep trying don't give up
It is a blessing! I was 17 yo when I walked into the hospital my first time as a nursing student. Now 50 years ago and still working. Your passion for the calling of nursing is heart warming. Blessings to you and to all your nurse viewers. Encouraging to know people like you will take care of the patients so many of us have loved for so long.

YES! don't ever delete your channel at all! I know this is a old post but this information that you give has really been helpful to me. You motivate me so much to go hard in my classes and school as a whole. God bless you brother!
Im changing my major from Music to Nursing and I know it will be a challenge. Whats incredible about this decision is that its more than just job security or boredom with my current major, it is a calling. I may be late in the game but when I think of my future I want to do something important, and for me that would mean helping people. God has a plan and I am so excited to begin taking a step closer.
my husband has been a musician his whole life just about.. he now has 4 jobs running choirs for the homeless, drug and alcohol addicted people, people with mental illnesses. He gives music therapy to disabled kids and people. He gives song writing lessons to all these people too.. they get to express themselves and feel special because of the work he does. Music can lead to meaningful work. I am not saying any of this to be defensive or argue... just wanted everyone to know that music can provide great things to people in ways you don't immediately expect.
I love #3. My nursing philosophy is to "treat my patients like I would want a nurse to treat my grandma." I can take a lot of bad, but you better never disrespect my grandma! Lol, that way I treat them better than I would treat myself :)
Getting caught up on vids. You are so right on. We become part of someones life when they are at their most vulnerable. Treat that relationship with the respect it deserves.
The reason why I want to be a nurse is because of a wonderful Amazinggg Nurse I had after I had my second child. She stood with me for a bit since I was alone alot after my csection. (military family)Not afraid to make conversation with me. I even cried in front of her and she said everything will be okay. You will be home soon. Just her presence alone was a blessing! I truly believe that nurse was placed there for me. She was a traveling nurse and drove a long time to work. That experience made me realize that I want to be that for someone else. I want to leave that impression on others.
I chose my major as nursing because i am passionate about helping others and understanding the human body. In my life I have found myself in scary situations such as a man passing out on the bus and also trying to figure out what’s wrong with my friends and family who sometimes just don’t know what to do in their medical situations such as vomiting blood , nausea , and heart attacks etc. Hopefully that can change because I will soon become a nurse major to aid everyone including myself and hopefully can make them feel well and happy when I cure them to the best way I could with my studies and knowledge of nursing : )
I’ve chosen to be a nurse after much hesitance and I’m also having some of the most content moments. Thinking about the patients I will be working to help make me really excited and happy. Like I will wake up every morning for my patients. No matter how sad I am, someone is waiting for me and needs me. And I’m going to do whatever I have to do to help them.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 #3 tho !! As a sickle cell patient myself, I can not wait to be a nurse and be in that position to help others receiving that blessing ! Amen and God bless you ❤️
Felicia, I'm a sickle cell patient also , i live in philly and i want to be a nurse cause i know our needs as being a patient my self! I hope you have a successful career!!!!!
I really feel the second one on a spiritual level.. I've wanted to be a nurse since I was little (a psychiatric nurse to be exact) and everyone assumes it's because I want an easy track then being a doctor but I grew up with a mom who worked in the cardiac recovery room (and many others but for most of my childhood this one) as a bsn and I would visit her and one time her patient died while I was visiting her and she asked 'so do you still want to be a nurse after this?' and I responded 'even more so.. He died but you did your best and God blessed you with being with him in his last minutes.. I wanna be that blessed'
My friend is a psychiatric nures student and she love what she is doing. Tough of some modules, she doesn't like Physchology lol 😅. I am doing General nures our modules is very similar. The good thing of a nures has no algebra or math module that's what I love it lol 😂
I begin nursing school in April. (LPN) with longer term plans of bridge to BSN programs. Im a guy, and older student (50 yr old) I also have a unique perspective having had a life changing experience, in 1990 I suffered a moderate stroke. I see this as an asset, I've been through an experience comparable to what future patients will face. I feel this makes me uniquely empathetic, not that you can't relate without such an experience.
Well done, sir. I have two semesters left to go in my program after this current one, and it truly has been a blessing. A quote my holistic nursing professor shared last week comes to mind. She said "if it was easy to do, everyone would be doing it."
Im going to be a freshmen student nurse soon. I know that entering this profession isn't easy as everybody taught. I know it isn't easy but I still want to continue and I want to experiences things you said. I'll live with it. ☺ Mabuhay Nurses!
Back pain! So many nurses have issues with back pain. Pts are very heavy and more often than not you will have overweight patients that you have to boost ect. Also expect to have a crap schedule when you are new for a few years, seniority rules everything. Also, you will likely get assaulted by a patient at least once in your career.
You just made me realize that when someone talks fast I’m more attentive LMAO. I remembered and understood everything you said but students usually hate when teachers talk too fast...what in the sorcery🤣
Love the positive energy and tone in your voice bro. Am currently half ways in my program, and every time I feel like giving up, I come back and watch this video. We need more videos like this on the internet.
In the medical field I always looked up to nurses and I always got intimidated by this profession now I am in the program to be a nurse and I don’t see myself doing anything else but that. I’ve always been a helper and look forward to caring for others. Now it will be to a whole other level of care. 😊
It is a very tough profession but so worth it when your patients Thank you and the family thank you ...I have been a Nurse a very long time and it is so good to see a patient get well and go home.
LOVED the “How do I know if nursing is really for me” “Only one way. To get in there and do it”. I’m an aspiring nurse. I graduated high school about 3 years ago, no studies after, and have always had this inner calling of helping people and didn’t know where exactly I wanted to apply myself. Psychology (major) was always on my mind but recently nursing had caught my attention and I think my heart even. Lol like you said I just have to get in there and do it and see. I plan on beginning school either this upcoming Spring or next Fall and your video has definitely made me feel more motivated to do so. All the doubts and worries I have, I have to just face and apply myself and if it’s not for me, hey. But I have to just do it like you said. Thanks for posting. I subscribed ❤️ and if I do go down this path and I’m successful, I’ll remember watching you and the encouragement I felt from your videos and your channel. Thanks again.
Worked 2 years in an inpatient psych facility - before I decided to pursue Nursing school - and almost done with prerequisites. Even during prerequisites, you have to sacrifice time/energy to your craft. I've talked to PLENTY of nurse's, studied behavioral psych/med-term/med-surg, etc...to get myself mentally prepared for what's ahead. Even during this run, it's been challenging, but rewarding as HELL! Also, another thing: don't let a bad test let you down. Keep grinding, keep doing what you're doing, you'll get there. Just because you're not the best nurse in nursing school doesn't mean that you'll be the best nurse on the floor. There's zero correlation between the two. I've seen nurse barely make it through Nursing school become of the best Nurses on the floor.
So in other words, the schooling for nurse is very tough? Currently a dad of two at 26 years old and have been graduated from high school for 8 years now and just been working in the workforce to have decided that the current job I've been at is not it long term (warehouse). It pays but back breaking work and a lot of overtime imo. I'm assuming it will be taking about 4 years to complete prerequisites and such. Don't really know how college works. I would be the first in my household to ever go
Ive been a nurse for 11 years now & I wish someone would of warned me of just how difficult nursing school is. The burn out rate is astronomical and its a very catty job at times. With all that being said, You either love it or hate it. Good luck!
My ex girlfriend was an RN in New York City. She had a lot of crazy stories. CPR on babies that ended up dying on the table. Gun shot victims. Stabbing victims. She’s been assaulted, had her fingers broken by a meth head. Punched, kicked, scratched, attacked. But she loved it. She was proud to be a nurse. Plus she made like 115k a year, so.... there’s a little incentive. Meanwhile, I was working in a mine making 80k a year. We were living like Rockefellers. But she worked 12 hour days, I worked swing shift. We never got to see each other and one day we both just sort of decided we’ve grown apart and we went our separate ways. So there’s some sacrifice there too. Your relationships with a significant other, friends, and family can suffer. It’s a job for a strong person. I don’t think I could do it. I’ve considered it, but... no thanks. But thank you to all of you who do it everyday.
Ahhh, extremely helpful. I've been indecisive over a traditional career field (am nearly 18 next month & having to choose my lifetime path) going back & forth with what I had in mind, whether settling for the "easier" healthcare field of Sonography (Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Technician) or Pediatric [Registered] Nursing! I watched this full video & prior than this, was really openly allowing myself to decide --- I think, I won't know until I try it. And even If, I get accepted in. It's truly a special field to be a part of, and be able to witness - as well as help aide in. It's a true workload & I may not even know yet, what I'd be getting myself into, if I choose to pursue this. It's tough in deciding what's for us; I've even considered taking a break from college till next Fall, to decide, but I already have support going on to financially cover my classes, smh, gonna see. A dismiss is a Huge no. Lol nonetheless, real helpful video, truly, thank you so much.
Scrolling down the UA-cam, saw this vedio one or twice but never felt like watching it ..but today i finally watched it and I'm so thankful ....the ending was a blessing indeed ❤️
I've been an HHA for over 2 years now and I want to become an RN so much. I love my job, taking care of people and being people's support system and if you're there long enough their friend. I've had one of my patients pass on me (I'm mostly an elderly HHA), I just applied for my college's nursing program, i'm hoping I get accepted :)
Wasn’t sure for the last couple of years whether I should pursue nursing as a career, but bit the bullet this year and applied ☺️ so happy I did 😍 listening to your videos makes me really hope I get in now, I just wanna jump in and start learning and helping ☺️
me: hes about to rap and this is gone be some BS , lol me after watching video: alright informative video learn a few things, still gonna purse nursing 🙌
babe xoxo yeah, don't have the idea that it's the CNA or the PCT's job. You are a nurse, but no one is below you. I'm a Master's level nurse and as I move up, I will NEVER be too good to clean poop, urine, or anything else that comes out of any orifice. And that's how you get increased infection rates and the rejection of your teammates if you think you're too good to clean a patient.
babe xoxo I hope your not the type to belittle anyone at work because of your title, I'm a nurse and I see so many nurses think they are superior because of their title... if your patient is sitting in BM you can help wash and change them, it's called team work! Learn it
i started taking pre-reqs for nursing since i already completed CNA. Im short on money and i want to get my foot in the door to the medical field so i am currently taking the EMT course. I have always had a passion for helping others and have always been emotionally sensitive to people so im hoping to put my mark on the world someday. There is so much i want to do such as nursing, law enforcement, vet, and much more. Thank you for the inspiration of your video.
Thank you. I am 13 years old and nursing is one of my carreer options. I think about it alot. I love helping people. I know it wont be butterflies and rainbows because people are sick and ill in there. I'm still thinking about it. I'm about to be in highschool but I fear it might be too hard for me.
+Nurse Bass When I make a video and talk fast I stumble over words and mispronounce stuff. Results in too many takes unless I really know what I'm going to say. I'm starting to slow it down. LOL
@ Nurse Bass, You are an amazing Gentleman whom I have nothing but respect and admiration for. Thank you, I work L&D and it's not always sweet babies and happy parents. In fact, it can be very sad, I want potentials to know this. It's not Utopia. It's sometimes so wonderful you cry happy tears but, it can be awful when you know you're delivering a dead baby. That happens more than the general public know. It truly is a rewarding career and you do get very ironic stories on L&D! I should write a book! I love your channel.
I am currently a Music Education major and well.....I am not happy, and I dont know why. I love music and I have done it for so many years. But I feel God has called me to be a nurse. There are many more pros to being a nurse over cons. On the other hand with Music Ed, unfortunately there are way more cons than pros. This isn't just because of poor job security or pay or anything else. I just simply feel that God has put me on this path, and I need to listen to him. Thank you for this video. God Bless.
+Nurse Bass ah yeah okay, that's true I had to explain that to my friend. I just hate when people say you can't take money into consideration. Where I live, nurses usually start out at 65-70k. If it was 40k, I'm sure there would hardy be any nurses in the area
love your passion! i'm starting nursing school in the fall and subbed after you mentioned the 3rd thing... keep up your positive attitude! you seem like an amazing nurse!
Thank you so much for this video and highlighting what a blessing it is to care for others. You truly are a great individual. Props for being a great speaker as well, Nurse Bass.
I became a nurse to help the sick, poor and vulnerable. For the past year I've seen how badly nurses are treated in the hospital setting. I'll say 2 out of your 5 patients every day will trully appreciate your work. The rest will be needy, demanding, drug seeking, ext. You will be wiping butts and changing sheets every hour. Families of patients are very particular and don't understand you have other patients to care of. If you call the surgeon at 3am be prepared to be yelled at. I've been punched in the stomach, scratched in the arms and almost bit by confused patients. Yes we get those a lot!! I could go on and on... Thank God for restraints. You won't know what it is to feel burned out until it's only you and 5/6 patients plus their families. Good luck to everyone! #FNP
I just found your channel, its awesome! Also I appreciate you talking fast! If you're in nursing school, you ain't got time to sit around and listen to folks draaaawwing it out
6 pre reqs away, and I keep second guessing if I want nursing to be my career, but always come back to it. Worked in the medical field for 7 years, but as a Tech for 3.
Medical shows on TV are one of the main culprits. TV nurses have only one patient at a time and have lots of time to spend with their patient. Patients will come into the hospital expecting way too much and cannot understand that their nurse has 5, 6 maybe or maybe 10 other patients they're responsible for.
Great vid man most vids I see are just saying how hard Nursing is but I love how you said its a blessing and why that made me more determined to finish up. Im in South Florida now finishing my prereqs. Keep Up The Great Work Sir
I love you man!!!! When you said you got to live this and study like it because lives will be in my hands. It was like the light flipped on! I am currently a working male cna for 10 years now and I've been in college doing my prerequisites for my rn. I have 3 out of 7 left to go and they're the worst ones I have heard. A&P1, A&P2, and microbiology. Since I have been in school I have had no life at all because I really want this so I work hard! I have to be honest I have saved these 3 prerequisites for last because they absolutley terrify me! But when you said live it. study like it because lives will be in my hands the light came on in my head and my anxiety over these last 3 courses don't scare me so much now because I'm gonna bust my ass and do everything I can to master the information I am learning! Man, you're great bro I feel like I just went to a psychologist for help and left the office a new dude! Keep these videos coming bro!
I am thinking of taking the chance to become a nurse! I stay at home most of the time (other than when I'm at work) and I don't hang out much with people and party. So studying and devoting all my time to learning the material will not be an issue for me. I am working full-time at the movement. I was in a management training program at work, but I'm going to have to drop back down to part-time. I probably won't start pursuing a nursing career until next year though by going back to college. I was in college for something else, but it's not right for me. I need time to think, and make for sure that I want to do it. I know it's not easy, but I feel like I can handle it.
Being a male RN is like being an offensive lineman, your job is to protect the QB and make holes for the rush, you take the most intense pressure on the field in your face relentlessly, there is holding on every play but everyone turns on you when they flag you, and you are expected to gain 100 pounds of muscle in your first two professional seasons, lmao.
Hey! Nursing student from Germany here :) I love your videos and i can identify with everything you're saying. I've got a question though, Here in Germany we are lacking SO many nurses and the working conditions here are insane at some hospitals. I heard we have the worst hospital system ever. Normally we have one fully trained nurse or two if we're lucky and maybe one student at one ward per shift. We're taking care of 30-50 patients on one ward with 1-2 nurses and the students aren't even allowed to do everything. Is the lack of nurses as extreme in America?
thank you for this video. I'm definitely going to try to get accepted as an RN. Mainly to have that foot in the door to be able to be something dignified and get out of retail work, and also to take care of my family when they get older. I have no qualms about what goes into it, but I think I can do it.
I just received my acceptance letter 2 years ago. I'm glad I work as a CNA for agency. I've been hit, spit on, shit (literal and metaphorical) thrown at me, threatened by patients and family, I think it should be a requirement to not only have a CNA, but to USE it. And I mean nursing homes and hospitals. Assisted living CNAs don't count as experience.
I’m a junior in hs and it’s so stressful trying to figure out what I want to do. I don’t want to pick the wrong thing. I just want to do something that helps the world become a better place. Some careers I’m interested in are teacher, NP, PA, psychologist. I used to want to be a vet tech but I realized it wasn’t for me bc you make like no money (like not enough to live on) and I don’t think I have the heart to see animals hurt and sick. It’s hard bc I know these are all careers that are emotionally and physically draining, my mom was a social worker and became a teacher so she was telling me “helping” jobs are tough. But I cant see myself doing anything else. I also can’t pick which job I want. It’s like I have too many ideas. I feel like everyone my age knows exactly what they want, what college, what major and what career.
How are older students treated in Nursing school? I have wanted to go to nursing school since I was 21 but the timing and finances were never right( my husband is active duty military). I am coming up on 30 (ughhh) and I have gone to school online and obtained two associates(healthcare management and human services) in order to help with getting in the medical field but they really aren't helping me in the real world and now the timing is lining up and I feel like it might be time to go. Am I going to be taken seriously? Maybe all I really am looking for is a "go for it", but it's a huge leap of faith and a big life changing decision. Thanks for the uplifting videos and insight into the very daunting world of Nursing.

+Christina Chancellor I agree!!! I know many people pursuing a nursing degree in their 40's and 50's. My good friend (and study buddy) is 42 and starting a BSN program with me. You are never too old to learn!!!!!!! I just had to pipe up because I believe this wholeheartedly!

Thank you so much for your video. I have a question, though. What do you do when a patient hits? How do you deal with this situation? Can you give some examples?
I'm going to find out if I got into my nursing program in a week or two and your videos are really helping me to get in the mindset of being a student nurse. I hope you keep posting videos after you graduate cause I'd love to hear what life after nursing school is like lol.
I hope all goes well and you gain admittance! I'll definitely continue to pump out content for my viewers because you guys mean a lot to me and I want to continue to uplift and help! :) I wish you the best of luck
Yo man I work as at hospital as a vallet I just graduated alternative highschool I hated school and just skimmed by but I like helping people how hard is nursing school??
I recently ended up in the ER with a trimalleolar fracture and was terrified! Thank GOD for my wonderful nurses. They were the ones who got me through. ❤️
Detox nursing used to be about getting people clean and on the road to recovery but sadly it has changed greatly. Where I worked, I was told to, "Just keep the beds full. If somebody wants to leave in the middle of the night before completing their detox and you know as soon as they walk out the door they will use, don't try to talk them out of leaving. Staff is not allowed to force anybody to go to AA and NA meetings held on the detox unit because the meetings may have a religious component." You no longer have to wonder why the number of overdose deaths are sky rocketing throughout America because that is the only possible thing that can happen with what Detox Units have become. You really can't figure out why cuts are being made to fund detox facilities? Really?
nurse bass. hope you have time to answer. seen you in nursing.org. i have some bsn from another country mainly two years. am here in the u.s. now and am thinking if i have to take adn, lpn, lvn to get a RN here so i can continue my BSN while working. i need an online school so i can study at night while i work at daytime. soon moving to nevada can you tell me accredited schools there?
Greetings. Not trying to knock your video but your number two reason is very vague. As a person that is in the process of enrolling in a nurse program your explanation does not paint a clear picture of what a nurse is. Like most people I have this idea of what nursing is but I truly don't know what it means to be a nurse. I'd like to know what is the typically day like for a nurse? How much time do you actually spend doing patient care versus doing computer work? I would love to see a video on the typically day of a nurse, or a video explaining how the industry has changed over time. Just my two scents.
+donzell lampkins That's thing, I don't know. All people talk about is how much sacrificing you have to do once you're in school. But no one talks about the typical day of a nurse, the various types of nurses, the history of nursing, etc. I'm tired of hearing how hard nursing school is. Tell me something else. Tell me something positive. Tell me something that will help me be a better nurse or nursing student. Tell me some organizations to join. Tell me some publications to look at. Give me some statistics. Give me something that's deeper.
Aron J Maybe YOU should go discover what a nurse is. You should go shadow a nurse and see for yourself what they do. You should make up your mind by doing not by what some stranger on UA-cam says.
I remember watching these videos 2 years ago before I started nursing school. I am now a rn male nurse. I love it
@Christian Espinoza I went to community College. And grinded it through
@Christian Espinoza one good tip. Get good grades but take regular classes. Then in your senior year apply to nursing program. Just work hard and don't give up
@Christian Espinoza I am one of the youngest RNs out of a class of 90. I got there because of something called grit
@Christian Espinoza no. The definition of grit is to work hard and grind toward your degree. To not give up and to prove the haters wrong. You can do it. And if you fail keep trying don't give up
@Christian Espinoza lol
Do you talk or rap?
Haha both!
I really like how fast he speaks because it keeps my attention!
increase the speed of video than its a rap lol
Lmao!
Lmaooooooo
did you want to be a rapper before you decided to become a nurse?
nilllyyyyyy hahahahhaha

Im changing my major from Music to Nursing and I know it will be a challenge. Whats incredible about this decision is that its more than just job security or boredom with my current major, it is a calling. I may be late in the game but when I think of my future I want to do something important, and for me that would mean helping people. God has a plan and I am so excited to begin taking a step closer.

Like I will wake up every morning for my patients. No matter how sad I am, someone is waiting for me and needs me. And I’m going to do whatever I have to do to help them.
1) Nurse: live like it “one day patients live will be in your hands”
2) Nurse is not Utopia
>Shadow nurses
3) Nursing is a Blessing
+Zoe Gueno 100% It's a very privileged position to be in for sure.
Zoe Gueno thats beautiful.
Beautiful
I'm just starting out at 60.
Good luck. Work hard.
Wow I’m 47. Good to know I’m making a good choice. Felt I was too old.
marcy winters and here I am wondering if 31 is too old to go back to college 😊 guess not.
Yo how is it going
@@emmanuelledaavila8321 omg.. I'm going back to school this fall and I'm turning 36. I guess it's never too late..
Well done, sir. I have two semesters left to go in my program after this current one, and it truly has been a blessing. A quote my holistic nursing professor shared last week comes to mind. She said "if it was easy to do, everyone would be doing it."
+TheMonkeykun Yes indeed. I've heard and said that many times myself. So true.
You talk with rhythm like your rapping
Just got accepted into nursing school last week. Feeling blessed
Im going to be a freshmen student nurse soon. I know that entering this profession isn't easy as everybody taught. I know it isn't easy but I still want to continue and I want to experiences things you said. I'll live with it. ☺
Mabuhay Nurses!
Totally agree! Blood, sweat, and tears...worth it but sacrifice is the reality!
+Megan Matthews Yes, most definitely. It's just the reality!
Back pain! So many nurses have issues with back pain. Pts are very heavy and more often than not you will have overweight patients that you have to boost ect. Also expect to have a crap schedule when you are new for a few years, seniority rules everything.
Also, you will likely get assaulted by a patient at least once in your career.
maxedoutco sounds like just being a teacher for real
You just made me realize that when someone talks fast I’m more attentive LMAO. I remembered and understood everything you said but students usually hate when teachers talk too fast...what in the sorcery🤣
Aphrojite x lolol
Working in a assisted living and memory care unit for years will prepare me
Love the positive energy and tone in your voice bro. Am currently half ways in my program, and every time I feel like giving up, I come back and watch this video. We need more videos like this on the internet.
i love how quick and clear he is
In the medical field I always looked up to nurses and I always got intimidated by this profession now I am in the program to be a nurse and I don’t see myself doing anything else but that. I’ve always been a helper and look forward to caring for others. Now it will be to a whole other level of care. 😊
I already stopped going out , and I'm single. All I have is my son. And I already was a cna. I just need to learn how to tAlk to ppl.
Sherrell James I'm taking nursing 101 and they actually taught us communication. Real communication, therapeutic speech. It is wonderful
I'm concerned about this also.
Very introverted...
@@williamhoskins7818 sameee. i get anxious and not confident
6 classes away from completing my pre-reqs for the nursing program!
Good luck!
+Donna Martin That's it! Thank you very much!
I have a question, after u became a nurse was it hard, I already apply to uni for nursing school but now I’m scared
Xoxo xoxo Love Don’t be scared, embrace it! Nursing school is “hard” because it takes 100% dedication.
it sure is a blessing to take care of others.. I'm doing homehealth care until i get into nursing school...thanks for sharing!
+javahop You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment :)
I’m thankful you watched as well ❤️
I've been an HHA for over 2 years now and I want to become an RN so much. I love my job, taking care of people and being people's support system and if you're there long enough their friend. I've had one of my patients pass on me (I'm mostly an elderly HHA), I just applied for my college's nursing program, i'm hoping I get accepted :)
I got into a hospital working food and nutrition and once I saw all the stuff nurses were going through etc...I said NOPE not for me.
Those are all the reasons why I want to become a nurse. Thanks for the confirmation and in my head encouragement.
+Bridgett Jackson Most definitely! No problem!
Wasn’t sure for the last couple of years whether I should pursue nursing as a career, but bit the bullet this year and applied ☺️ so happy I did 😍 listening to your videos makes me really hope I get in now, I just wanna jump in and start learning and helping ☺️
me: hes about to rap and this is gone be some BS , lol
me after watching video: alright informative video learn a few things, still gonna purse nursing 🙌
Alan Nabors pursue English-language
My older sister is a PA. I am a CNA working in a hospital and I work with nurses everday and everything you said is on point! Just subscribed :)
Ellen Carriera is it that bad?
Be prepared for the poop...SO MUCH POOP!!!!!!
+RetroGamerTy Haha that's hilarious!
RetroGamerTy that's not the nurse's work that's the work of the nurse assistant
RetroGamerTy that's what psw's mainly deal with
babe xoxo yeah, don't have the idea that it's the CNA or the PCT's job.
Thank you for the inspiration of your video.
amy morrissy update?
Thank you. I am 13 years old and nursing is one of my carreer options. I think about it alot. I love helping people. I know it wont be butterflies and rainbows because people are sick and ill in there. I'm still thinking about it. I'm about to be in highschool but I fear it might be too hard for me.
you are talking so fast >.
+lakililuv27 Lol I know. I did it on purpose in this one! :P
+Nurse Bass When I make a video and talk fast I stumble over words and mispronounce stuff. Results in too many takes unless I really know what I'm going to say. I'm starting to slow it down. LOL
He ain't talking that fast, your brain is just too damn slow.
lakililuv27 he talk fast cause people mind always be on the go lmao
lakililuv27 lmao foreal 🤣
@ Nurse Bass,
You are an amazing Gentleman whom I have nothing but respect and admiration for. Thank you,
I work L&D and it's not always sweet babies and happy parents. In fact, it can be very sad, I want potentials to know this. It's not Utopia. It's sometimes so wonderful you cry happy tears but,
it can be awful when you know you're delivering a dead baby.
That happens more than the general public know. It truly is a rewarding career and you do get very ironic stories on L&D! I should write a book! I love your channel.
WOW I really enjoyed how mature and understanding you are...
God Bless.
Dakota Holsinger I was music education major before switching to nursing. Graduated in may and am a month into my first job! You can do it
#4. Don't say you're doing it for good pay, I hate that. ;)
+Murse Adam Haha yea, for real
But it is good pay... So I see nothing wrong with that
+Hayato I think his underlying implication was "doing it just for the money."
+Nurse Bass ah yeah okay, that's true I had to explain that to my friend. I just hate when people say you can't take money into consideration. Where I live, nurses usually start out at 65-70k. If it was 40k, I'm sure there would hardy be any nurses in the area
+Hayato lol goodness gracious. Well I'm moving to your area then! Haha
love your passion! i'm starting nursing school in the fall and subbed after you mentioned the 3rd thing... keep up your positive attitude! you seem like an amazing nurse!
you should do radio
If you're in nursing school, you ain't got time to sit around and listen to folks draaaawwing it out
All true - it's about learning and live it, great points.
Thank you!!! #LiveIt
I'm going to school to be an MA. Then after that, I'm going for my BSN. I know its a lot of hard work, but its worth it :)
Thank you for this video, nothing but truth!!! The Key is to be dedicated, be compassionate and be driven by what we see and experience. Great video!
6 pre reqs away, and I keep second guessing if I want nursing to be my career, but always come back to it. Worked in the medical field for 7 years, but as a Tech for 3.
FANTASTIC NURSE BASS!!!!!!!!! VERY VERY WELL SAID!!!!!!! ONE OF THE BEST NURSING VIDEOS
THAT I EVER SEEN!!!!
#3 is deep... I think that's the reason I want to be a Nurse.... that's koo keep it up!!! Salute!
Medical shows on TV are one of the main culprits. TV nurses have only one patient at a time and have lots of time to spend with their patient. Patients will come into the hospital expecting way too much and cannot understand that their nurse has 5, 6 maybe or maybe 10 other patients they're responsible for.
Excellent video! I am going to share this with my friends as these are so important to know before we start in August. Thanks as always! :)
Well that's awesome! Thank you for sharing :)
How's it going now ?
Great vid man most vids I see are just saying how hard Nursing is but I love how you said its a blessing and why that made me more determined to finish up. Im in South Florida now finishing my prereqs. Keep Up The Great Work Sir
Most definitely. I appreciate that and am glad you like videos my friend. Keep grinding!
Update? How’s school
I know it's not easy, but I feel like I can handle it.
wow #3 really solidified what I already knew...I can't wait to become a nurse..thank u!
I’m so glad there are subtitles.
I just wanted to know how to get good at Nurse on Dead By Daylight
🤣🤣🤣
Well thank you very much! I'm happy you've been enjoying them. And no, definitely not. That's insane!
thank you for this video.
I've been hit, spit on, shit (literal and metaphorical) thrown at me, threatened by patients and family,
I think it should be a requirement to not only have a CNA, but to USE it.
Thank you for the motivation 🙏🏽💪🏽
Absolutely!
I came across your channel because I'm considering doing the diploma of nursing next year.
Nurse in 2018 keep this vids coming I need the insight
+Christina Chancellor It is never to late love!! I will be 30 next month and I am in my first semester of my BSN Nursing program. I am also a single mother who works to maintain my household and take care of my daughter. I say go for it!!! XOXOOXOXOXO
There's a 31 and 38 yr old in my clinical group, you'll be fine!!
+Christina Chancellor From my experience, they're all very well respected and loved. Here is a short video on it:
ua-cam.com/video/PmIxGgD67wM/v-deo.html
Go for it! I've had classmates that were in their 50's to 60's, and they LOVE it! It's never too late to go for something you're passionate and love! :)
That’s right is a blessing! You really hit he nail on the head with this video. Great advice.
What are your thoughts on working part time during nursing school?
Thank you so much for your video. I have a question, though. What do you do when a patient hits? How do you deal with this situation? Can you give some examples?
People are saying this is too fast but honestly this is a perfect pace bc it’s keeping my attention 😂
I cried at Reason 3. Thanks so much for the video. Teacher turning nurse
Yo man I work as at hospital as a vallet I just graduated alternative highschool I hated school and just skimmed by but I like helping people how hard is nursing school??
peter fiorella you may have hated high school, but if nursing is what you really want to do then it won't be hard.
I recently ended up in the ER with a trimalleolar fracture and was terrified! Thank GOD for my wonderful nurses. They were the ones who got me through. ❤️
Honestly 3 make me dont worry just wanna go and help even one person.
When you said live it, I was sold 🙌🏾🙏🏾🎯
100%
The only UA-camr I don't speed up
Can’t wait to be a nurse. Get paid a lot and get to play cards all shift!!
