Quel Bonheur vous nous apporter 😊😊😊😊
This outstanding selection from rarely heard orchestra is a real treat - one hearing is insufficient and will be returned to.
.....Nice Northwest sound with just a touch of "Deliverance." With all those flowers and velvet drapes, that dance hall looks more like a funeral parlor. This was real working-class entertainment -- no society nonsense here. BTW, the orchestra pictured in the graphics is the 1929 band that followed the original Garden Dancing group which was formed in 1927 and lead by Lillian Frederick.
Does Prozoot mean you like soot suits?
Trying to figure out how this means to the music 🎶 that l love to hear. Thank you for your sharing with us. You’re The Greatest!

@@Prozoot Thanks Prozoot ! I hope you will continue your fantastic work in spite of the fact that te Nobel prize for taste has yet to be invented. You make so many people happy !
My first introduction to the N.W. jazz scene which I liked very much especially Deep Hollow, a favorite and fun to compare other versions. This is a very tight and nuanced innovative number that really shows off the talent solos throughout. Very smooth and danceable. It's also very well recorded with the piano and banjo each registered but easily distinct from each other. The entire recording was equally so. Thank you for another gem.
....thanks for your input, Bruce, -- I appreciate the thoughtful analysis.
Gosto de música americana dos anos 20
Thank you you bring us pleasure

You Sing That Song to Somebody Else:
You say you love me, think oceans of me
But I'm afraid you sing that song to somebody else
You say I please you each time I squeeze you
But I'm afraid you sing that song to somebody else
Every time we make a date, I got the same old stall
Seems to me you're always late and don't show up at all
You say you love me, think oceans of me
But I'm afraid you sing that song to somebody else
You say you love me, think oceans of me
But I'm afraid you sing that song to somebody
Somebody else, sing that song, anybody else but me
A little late...
Thank you for sharing this is wonderful!

Another nice band! Thanks Mr. Zoot!
Thanks for the upload Mr. Zoot. Very nice syncopation. Good fidelity for the era. Columbia seem to use the latest cutting edge recording technology.

Delightful
Great
Love it. Funerals or not. Mind you, I wouldn't want to turn up there, with my sophisticated "London ways"..
Deep Hollow sounds like the song Hurricane that I have Red Nichols doing. Same song different title?
