I find there to be an amazing double standard with Colours Ultimate vs Sonic 06, where even the people who like the game (06) also acknowledge the game is pretty buggy and has issues. Colours Ultimate on the other hand... "Stop making big deal about it, it will be patched!" was a regular thing, or "I never had any problems so there are no glitches, its fake news!" Double standards much...?
You're forgetting there's COVID, Regulations in Japan and Delays in Shipping, they don't have time to fix everything AND get it out on-time especially when SEGA is very busy and have other IPs which require alot of time, money, effort & quality such as Persona.

I just noticed most people are very dismissive of 06's level design and structure and act like P-06 is good in spite of it, which is backwards to me considering 06 has some of the best level designs of the series.
The only joke that made me laugh is no copyright law in the universe is gonna stop me. I had only heard out of context so when I got to the cutscene I had a legitimate laugh.
My experience is similiar to yours. I'm loving the remastered graphics (even the tropical resort, which doesn't seem that dark for me for some reason), the remixes are great (especially planet wisp, the're SO GOOD). I haven't experienced any major bugs or glitches, and I LOVE the new homing attack. It adds another layer to this (previously) trivial task. I also like other gameplay additions, and I don't mind the Tails Save, but it should've been an option. The game should have been delayed for obvious reasons, but I'm having a blast. I just hope they fix it.

The fact my Switch version worked just fine is a proof that it goes for any version.
I finally have 100% completed this game, and it's my first time ever playing Sonic Colours, absolutely loved it. I encountered one glitch, but I kind of went below the map as ghost, and tried to go through a wall and ended up being able to walk around in the wall without dying for a moment. But other then that, I haven't put it down.

Wow great video as always you deserve the subs the one absolute thing I didn't like is the remix music in Sonic colors ultimate a few I like but majority of em just sound horribly off if that makes sense.

I know I obviously don't speak for everyone but I had no glitches on the Switch version. I feel like I'm playing a different game from everyone else. Really weird. Felt like a very polished experience.
I got the Switch version on the Digital Deluxe release and the only problem I had was the Wisps' music cutting out occasionally, the Options being laggy, and load times (the last one I don't even care about since I've had worse wait times before) It still has the same atmosphere as 11 years ago.

Quick correction for you dude, Tails Save works, but it's only in certain sections of the levels and the sections they're in are pretty much not by checkpoints.
I think why people don’t like the aliens is because they’ve been so forced in lost world and especially forces that people forget how good they were in colours
The worst thing for me was the Egg Shuttle. This was my only requirement for the platinum trophy and it crashed 4 times as I reached Asteroid Coaster Act 5. I had to spend 60+ minutes 5 times in a row just to get one trophy. It crashes FAR too much for a game of this level and the data corruptions I received was unbelievable. I've never had a game do this before

I was gonna pre-order SCU when it was announced, but I decided to wait for reviews to get out. And boy, did I dodge a bullet there. I wouldn't even want a review copy if I knew it would be THIS unfinished
I tried hard to be open minded about this game, but I couldn’t bring myself to play it. Seeing Sega botch a beloved remaster for majority of their fans just didn’t sit right with me so I ended up returning my copy. They’ve released so many games too early that at this point it should be inexcusable.
Some problems I have with Ultimate is how the explosion effects when breaking things as Frenzy or on the Results Screen lost most of the oomph it had, I also don't like how Sonic's Model is super bright while Tails Model is too dark, Metal Sonic's Model is also just straight up broken, once this game gets fixed and put on steam I'll consider getting it for mods and stuff but that won't be for a while, and I am fine with that, I have the original on Wii and Dolphin and I prefer the visuals in the original anyway for the most part. Anyway, good video I love these reviews it's a nice change of pace from your other videos.

The Xbox and PC versions are the best version of the games, the PS4 has glitches and skybox showing in some areas and the Switch is just Sonic 06 times 10
By the time Sonic 60 comes out folks will be complaining that most recent games weren't as good as 2021-2029 era Sonic, that Sonic Generations has aged like milk while also saying Sonic Generations 3 & Knuckles was the peak of the franchise and Sonic Heroes 2 was underrated.
I played the switch version and while there were a lot of small visual glitches and major audio glitches, I barely encountered any major game play impacting issues.
I’d say this, they could fix it up in a patch, like maybe fix the graphics (like bloom), audio, menu’s, glitches ect ect. Personally I’d wait to get this when it get’s a patch.

The only "glitches" I mainly came across was sound effects that should've been where they belong and they weren't. Like the clear stage music cutting off immediately. But me playing the original like...50 billion times, I did notice some minor little things that were in the previous game and not this game. Its a small detail but in the level select screens Sonic jumps out of the level when it boots up. In ultimate he kinda just jumps for no reason. I feel like when you use the whisps they don't have that...FLARE like BAM when you use them here. Whereas in thr original they were bright and in your face, mainly the cube drill and spikes. BUT I kinda gave this my same statement I gave Forces. It wasn't the best BUT I still had fun. Its still one of my fav Sonic games. And im sure with future patches everything will be fixed. One thing you can't beat tho is the remixed music. I loved most of it and thats always still one of Sonic ls strong points in his games is his music. Never fails to make me happy
Finally, someone i can agree with. I had more fun playing this game than i did with the original when i first played that, but the issues are still glaring, a flawed but fun game. I played this on the switch, btw, didn't get a single seizure glitch, maybe he's right about everyone has a personalized copy.
This was an excellent video. I knew you loved this game and was worried you’d go too soft on it. But you did a good job being fair to the game while making the flaws of this remaster clear and upfront. As for Sonic Colors itself, you’ve slowly managed to change my mind to be more positive on the game and I appreciate that. You even made a good argument for the Cube Wisp of all things. I still think this game is a little too easy, even when going for S Ranks, but I can take the good with the bad.
Another thing to note is that the Planet Wisp remixes aren't in the base game, they're only in the digital deluxe version or as DLC if you didn't get that version.
walking does feel awkward in colours ultimate play starlight carnival act 1 when you get to the two flying enemies sonic slows down and it's just really awkward to see
As Someone Who has Just Recently Beaten The switch release, I can say that game, While dose look REALLY good on the switch, It Has alot of Problems That Keep the game down. I haven't Gotten any Crazy glitches like what twitter has been showing, But my Game Has Frozen a Few time while playing As well As falling out of the world a few times too. It dose make me Disappointed cause this was first sonic game i ever played when it first released and i was really hyped for this. I hope whatever sega got instore for an Update fixes theses problems the switch version has. Its still good, but it has a long road before I can call this a True Remaster.
I played the switch version, and aside from some audio bugs, primarily with the fact that the wisp and result themes wouldn’t play sometimes, as well as small graphical bugs, I didn’t encounter anything massive or game-breaking at all.
Pretty much my experience too. I only ran into one glitch that had me die though I was running on the purple trail in Starlight Carnival and it glitches out. Thankfully I found a way to avoid it the next time.
I never played the original since it was only on the Wii, so this was my first time experiencing it. I bought it for xbox and had an awesome time with it. Didn't really have any issues other than a couple of audio issues. I recommend this game to anyone who doesn't have a Switch. Don't listen to the hate because it's just nitpicking to be honest (except for Switch version of course).
I was so excited when this game was announced. That I went back and played Sonic Colors on the Wii. I was disappointed when the remaster released. So, I got a refund for the Switch version. Once the game is fixed, I’ll buy this game for PS4.
While playing the game I did encounter glitches and recently I encountered one were on one of the acts of planet wisp when you use laser it bugs out and drops you into a bottomless pit. I like the game I really do but this game needs a patch ASAP for me to consider it the definitive version of colors. And something that I noticed while playing the game is something I felt while playing SA2 battle I felt like I had more fun playing with my brother in multiplayer more than single player.
It pisses me off to no end. I'm to assume it's part of people's identities, since it's probably been with them since childhood. It doesn't help anyone and just drags the quality of future products. Happened to Pokemon as well... sad.
I thought Sonic Colors Ultimate was better than the original. Aside from the audio issues I had an amazing time with it, and I had the SWITCH VERSION for gods sake. I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be, but its got its fair share of flaws.

The Xbox and PC versions are the best version of the games, the PS4 has glitches and skybox showing in some areas and the Switch is just Sonic 06 times 10
By the time Sonic 60 comes out folks will be complaining that most recent games weren't as good as 2021-2029 era Sonic, that Sonic Generations has aged like milk while also saying Sonic Generations 3 & Knuckles was the peak of the franchise and Sonic Heroes 2 was underrated.
I played the switch version and while there were a lot of small visual glitches and major audio glitches, I barely encountered any major game play impacting issues.

I’d say this, they could fix it up in a patch, like maybe fix the graphics (like bloom), audio, menu’s, glitches ect ect.

I was playing the game earlier on my switch & their hasn't been any glitches. Are people making it up or what ? Maybe I got lucky with my copy.
The only "glitches" I mainly came across was sound effects that should've been where they belong and they weren't. Like the clear stage music cutting off immediately. But me playing the original like...50 billion times, I did notice some minor little things that were in the previous game and not this game. Its a small detail but in the level select screens Sonic jumps out of the level when it boots up. In ultimate he kinda just jumps for no reason. I feel like when you use the whisps they don't have that...FLARE like BAM when you use them here. Whereas in thr original they were bright and in your face, mainly the cube drill and spikes. BUT I kinda gave this my same statement I gave Forces. It wasn't the best BUT I still had fun. Its still one of my fav Sonic games. And im sure with future patches everything will be fixed. One thing you can't beat tho is the remixed music. I loved most of it and thats always still one of Sonic ls strong points in his games is his music. Never fails to make me happy

Finally, someone i can agree with. I had more fun playing this game than i did with the original when i first played that, but the issues are still glaring, a flawed but fun game.
I played this on the switch, btw, didn't get a single seizure glitch, maybe he's right about everyone has a personalized copy.
This was an excellent video. I knew you loved this game and was worried you’d go too soft on it. But you did a good job being fair to the game while making the flaws of this remaster clear and upfront.
As for Sonic Colors itself, you’ve slowly managed to change my mind to be more positive on the game and I appreciate that. You even made a good argument for the Cube Wisp of all things. I still think this game is a little too easy, even when going for S Ranks, but I can take the good with the bad.
at first when watching this i thought you were someone who blindly hated this game because other people said they did but now this seems much better
Another thing to note is that the Planet Wisp remixes aren't in the base game, they're only in the digital deluxe version or as DLC if you didn't get that version.

walking does feel awkward in colours ultimate play starlight carnival act 1 when you get to the two flying enemies sonic slows down and it's just really awkward to see
As Someone Who has Just Recently Beaten The switch release, I can say that game, While dose look REALLY good on the switch, It Has alot of Problems That Keep the game down. I haven't Gotten any Crazy glitches like what twitter has been showing, But my Game Has Frozen a Few time while playing As well As falling out of the world a few times too. It dose make me Disappointed cause this was first sonic game i ever played when it first released and i was really hyped for this. I hope whatever sega got instore for an Update fixes theses problems the switch version has. Its still good, but it has a long road before I can call this a True Remaster.
Only real gripe I have about this game is the stage music starts before the stage actually starts.
I played the switch version, and aside from some audio bugs, primarily with the fact that the wisp and result themes wouldn’t play sometimes, as well as small graphical bugs, I didn’t encounter anything massive or game-breaking at all.
Pretty much my experience too.
I only ran into one glitch that had me die though I was running on the purple trail in Starlight Carnival and it glitches out. Thankfully I found a way to avoid it the next time.

I never played the original since it was only on the Wii, so this was my first time experiencing it. I bought it for xbox and had an awesome time with it. Didn't really have any issues other than a couple of audio issues. I recommend this game to anyone who doesn't have a Switch. Don't listen to the hate because it's just nitpicking to be honest (except for Switch version of course).
I was so excited when this game was announced. That I went back and played Sonic Colors on the Wii. I was disappointed when the remaster released. So, I got a refund for the Switch version. Once the game is fixed, I’ll buy this game for PS4.

While playing the game I did encounter glitches and recently I encountered one were on one of the acts of planet wisp when you use laser it bugs out and drops you into a bottomless pit. I like the game I really do but this game needs a patch ASAP for me to consider it the definitive version of colors. And something that I noticed while playing the game is something I felt while playing SA2 battle I felt like I had more fun playing with my brother in multiplayer more than single player.
To me, Sonic Colors is basically Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog: The Game.

I thought Sonic Colors Ultimate was better than the original. Aside from the audio issues I had an amazing time with it, and I had the SWITCH VERSION for gods sake. I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be, but its got its fair share of flaws.

as a twelve ur old kid, here's my opinion on the game(oh and be aware im playing this on xbox one s so im actually getting that 4k experience) , good level design, OK-ish story, beautiful graphics, so beautiful my jaw dropped when seeing them, trust me, maybe its because my dad bought us a tv the supports 4k and 120 fps but the game looks much better then it does in this video) also the game is buggy but its not a mess, a buggy mess is a game that's trash but has ALOT of bugs like sonic 06, baland wonderworld, and cyberpunk2077 a buggy game is a good game but, buggy like gears of war, SADX and Sonic Colors: Ultimate (troll emoji) C Ultimate has cool customizations, beautiful art style, my fav places are all of the except for asteroid coaster. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the rival rush mode, the challenge makes it feel like a 10 out a of ten game but sadly its not, the amount of bugs lag are actually not that bad, the only bugs (noticed i said bugs and lag but not glitches) pretty my the bugs i ran into were just sound effects going of at random points and the wisp and results screen music, so ya, I've ran into bugs but thankfully no glitches (I've noticed at leased) the bosses feel boring except for Starlite carnival's, asteroid coaster's and the final boss. gameland is kinda fun to play with my sister, i haven't ran into any glitches of gameland YET but so far i love, and for some reason on xbox one s i i cant us any of the dlc/addons that the game has unless im online, ya i will keep them on my skin when im offline but one i take'em of i cant put them back on witch i hope they fix that in the day one patch that i heard was going on the physical UK version of colors. my fav levels are: 5.SM act 2, 4.SM act 3, 3.TR act 3, 2.TV act 1&2 and PM act 1. honestly, if u have the best version which is pc and xbox, u would be having a fun time and run into very few glitches (if ur gonna play on console i prefer xbox one (s) because the game doesnt crash, it freezes (for some weird reason pressing the guide button or as i like to call it, the Big X while the game is freezing, the game resume) so far, until they fix the bugs and lag this game has, its a 8 out of 10 for me so far but if u haven't played the original version, play colors ultimate, its worth ur time, money, and hands. so ya that's my opinion
