WE LOVED OUR TIME IN COLOMBIA. Don't get us wrong - it was incredibly frustrating to get scammed by some shady taxi driver. But the positive experiences we had FAR OUTWEIGHED the negative and we would still encourage any and everyone to see Colombia for themselves. Feel free to share any of your own personal travel experiences, but remember that one bad experience does not reflect the values of an entire country!
Noooo not the camera! Can only imagine how that felt. Good on you guys for powering through, as absolutely frustrating of a travel day looks to have been. You never know what kind of challenges travel days will bring, just gotta remember why you do it!
Hi, joining in, I love travel videos, sorry about the scam. Hope one day I will also be able to travel and make videos like these. It feels good to get to know all the cool parts of the world
it's experiences like that which are why we never take taxis. sorry to hear that your camera lens broke as well. how frustrating. the countryside looks amazing though!
aww man that's so sad :( We have only been scammed by a tuk tuk and it was only ~$10 but I remember being so upset about it for a day because I felt so stupid! Also so sorry about your lens - ngl i wanted to cry watching the first part of this vlog 😭
Salento is so beautiful. I went with my girlfriend last year. So beautiful landscapes. You have to go to Valle del Cocora. (Sorry about that bad experience in bogota)
YES we went to Valle de Cocora a few days after this vlog was filmed and we loved it! The most incredible hike that either of us have ever done. So gorgeous! And yeah, getting scammed wasn't so fun. But we still really enjoyed our time in Bogota and thought the city was really neat!
I don't remember how we first heard about Salento, but it ended up being our favorite place in Colombia!! I think we were attracted to it because the remoteness and coooffeee. And thanks!! It was fun doing something different with my hair! Although I'm missing my natural color these days haha.
Are these videos from 6 months ago or are you back in Colombia 6 months later? Is the issue with the camera the reason you didn't upload any videos for 6 months?
These videos are actually from a year ago now! The camera wasn’t the only issue.. we also had a baby and bought an old house that we’re in the process of flipping. 😅 This year just kind of got away from us and we’re just now getting to editing our travel footage.
It only ended up being like $15 USD, but that’s a decent amount in Colombia! Could’ve gotten us like 3 meals. I think I was more aggravated because I should have known better and felt stupid. 😩

Yeah it was a bummer of a day lol. We only lost about $15, but it was definitely the principle of it! I should have known better!!

Why did you stop making vlogs? Was eager to see what was next. Is it because of the camera?
where is your next adventure ❤?
