Just wanted to say I’ve been laid up with flu over the Christmas break and I think I’ve watched all of your videos! Your upbeat and interesting content has kept me so entertained! I can’t wait to be back on the water 🥰 here in the west of Ireland it’s mostly inland for pleasure cruising because the Atlantic offshore is pretty dangerous 😂 we have a good bit of sailing but it’s dicey! but I’ve loved living vicariously through through guys and wanted to say thanks!
Here I sit watching your vids and dreaming of a place warm enough to be boating in Winter . As bad as it sounds , it warms my heart to see that you also ran into winter . You know what they say " Suck it up " Ha ha ha ha
Sure would like to see M/V Freedom tied up in Bremerton before you depart for more sunny waters this year. You might find the Navy museum interesting and outside town there are some hikes. To bad Shawn did not get his gift from Santa. We had about 10" of snow in the Illahee area (not the park) near the Port District pier.
Thanks for sharing your explorations. I miss the PNW. My grandparents parents homesteaded on the island from Finland and Norway. They were both born on the island. First generation Americans.
I really love waking up and sipping coffee and watching your videos! Nice little journey for the Holidays. Wish you both the best and a Happy New Year!
🎉Happy New Year Freedom🎉 Having a stern thruster is pretty nice. Last time my boat was on the hard I installed one by myself. Not too difficult at all and I dont come close to have Shaun's skills. 2 batteries hooked up for 24 volt. A separate charger for the stern thruster batteries. 2 wireless joysticks for upper and lower helms. And a separate hand held remote. 8.5 hp motor. Boat was only out of the water 1 day. I did all the wiring back in my slip. 😊
A house (boat) is made of brick and stone, a home is made with love alone. Wherever the currents and open seas may take you, it'll be your new home (new adventures and new memories). The Pacific Northwest will miss you guys. Next stop I'm thinking Point Roberts or Blain, I'm leaning towards.....?
Hey guys, great video. Hope you didn't get caught in the near-zero temps and snow that covered my brother in the marina @ Friday Harbor! Darn cold for anyone.
Happy New Year from the largest, and currently warmer, island in the contiguous US! Looking forward to your 2022 videos. I am especially looking forward to the first Sean boat repair video of the New Year! Safe travels! Stay warm!
Happy New Years crew and kids...fun video and loving the view of my old stomping grounds around Puget Sound. You two certainly make my Sundays fun to start with...stay safe out there!
Happy New Year. I used to fish at Hope Island with my grandfather in the '50's. Best king salmon fishing in the NW at one time; Alaska-like. Hope Island area a major route for salmon heading to spawning grounds up river.
Hello guys, we enjoyed seeing you back on the UA-cam‘s. Seeing you up there at the Arctic Circle in the ice and snow breaks my heart in light of Sean having asked Santa for 80° weather. I have trust sold on a 50 foot boat and left one of the nicest marinas in Sausolito called Schoonmaker marina. They have ample availability and contrary to your previous research may be willing to offer you reasonable pricing to winter the cold months ahead. Just some food for thought.
Good to know! Besides cost every Marina we called either didn’t allow liveaboards or had strict 30-60 day rules, so right now while Shawn still travels that would’ve made things stressful to find new moorage every few months. Can’t wait to get there later this year though when we’re more flexible 👍
@@mvfreedom Point taken. When the time comes and things change for Shawn. I am sure Bill @ Schoonmaker would love to consider you as live aboard. Circle back to me before you call. Thank you for your reply. Knut.
She’s right on the Bunny controversy along with wild Turkeys later on. The Os. had a Turkey Farm in Coupeville back in the day/ 70’s. A great place to go/See !
Last winter trip? Are you moving to Florida? Love following you two, makes me really miss being on the water up in the Pacific northwest. Chicken fried rabbit is pretty tasty, you see alot of it in Europe only saw rabbit once in a grocery store in the states.
hi guys give Scotland ago I know you both appreciate breathtaking scenery can't promise you sunny weather but culture and history is aplenty gob bless.
Just be glad you didn't run into those rabbits on the water Like Jimmy Carter did while on a 1979 fishing trip! Is there such a thing as a waterside town that isn't quaint? Keep up the great videos and above all STAY SAFE! ⛴️❤️😷
Thanks and a belated Merry Christmas! Your weather wish also paid off here in the Southeast--temps were in the high-70s on Christmas Day... Happy New Year!!
Congratulations Elizabeth, you are a captain now, so happy for you, and so happy for you guys to have Ms. Martha, great video, great adventure, love to have you guys back, stay healthy and happy.
Howdy from Tasmania, Australia 🇦🇺 Myself & my partner have just started living on our Roberts 36 Wave Runner. Super jealous of your bow thruster, ours is a single prop boat with no thrusters. Much love from Tassie and I love watching your adventures 😊
Turn the ferry into a prison. In NYC there is "Bain Correctional Center (VCBC), also known as the Vernon C. Bain Maritime Facility and under the nickname "The Boat", is an 800-bed jail barge used to hold inmates for the New York City Department of Corrections. The barge is anchored off the Bronx's southern shore, across from Rikers Island, near Hunts Point." -- Wikipedia.
WOW Here I sit in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico on my way back from Roatan. Looks like I will be missing the cold snap in Central Texas. Have a great week God Bless.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE POLAR PLUNGE AND YEAH IT'S GOING TO BE COLD. PROBABLY SHOOT OUT OF THE WATER LIKE A POLARIS MISSILE THIS YEAR. SEE YOU NEXT WEEK I GUESS.
The Swinomish Channel is fun- you should add a stern thruster- makes docking more relaxing, especially on the outside tie ups. I cruised there in October- and now keep our boat there. stop by Nasty Jacks- fun place!
If they wanted to keep the bunny population under control with Raptures I hope they didn't mean the airplane. Using F-22 Rapture is a little overkill for a bunny, at least the bunnies wouldn't see it coming.
Raptor (bird) or bird of prey, a bird that primarily hunts and feeds on vertebrates. Btw, the plane is spelled the same way. (Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor)
I did my open water dive in 3' viz and 39 deg water near horseshoe bay ferry terminal north of Vancouver BC with a Med. sized Dry suit...which they brought for me. Unfortunately I take a LG. I couldn't raise my arms past 90 deg. still got the cert.
I was on the Rock on for 47 yrs. Now Anacortes ( Fidalgo Is.) SO PNW to REPRESENT! Never never moving back to Philly ! Just saying/Nevy Brat IB now...... PNW !
Have you heard the song by Kris Kristofferston , "Me and Bobby Mcgee" one lyric is about freedom. It goes, "Freedom ain't worth nothing but it's free". Trust you have a long and happy life in your endeavors.
I wish you both a happy new year. Stay halty and pray for a year 2022 in freedome without a war(see about Ukraine). - What about the temerature inside your MV? I ask about that because you wear caps
It was very good to see you guys in my home town LaConner, I caught you guys by the round about and had to roll my window down and catch Shawn’s attention! Wish I could’ve stopped and got a pic with you guys. Keep up the great work! ( Was on my way to receive a boat in our detail boat house right around the corner at LaConner maritime)
Loved the video. Your coiling of the fender buoy line would have gotten me in some EMI when I was in the Coast Guard. LOL. Did I miss where you guys are headed to in a past video? I heard you said this is your last Christmas in the Seattle area.

I am just in love with Shawn and Elizabeth, they are the coolest couple.....
They seem a lot happier than the Mermaid couple.
@@eddiewiker1980 I don't care I just love the life they live, I live vicariously through their videos
My grandfather was Governor when the MV Evergreen was commissioned!
Please show us the egg roll making. Cheers from snowy Vancouver Island 😊😊😊😊

We hit -4 where we were and 40 knot gusts. Not good!

@@JCrook1028 well perhaps they should call in the USAF and get some F-22's to deal with those bunnies, that will solve the problem.
Whidbey Island = rabbits, Blakely Island = racoons, Cat island (japan) = you guessed it. Where's the ... ? This is what dreams are made of.
Rare find a pay phone.
Why do I hear the line from Monty python,,,what he going to do nibble your bunns. Lol
Thank you guys for Whidbey...
Lopez Island has a ship load of bunnies, too! Have you moored there yet? Fisherman's Bay has guest moorage, I believe.

That's a beautiful photo of the boat you hung up in the pilothouse. I remember it from that previous episode.
