- Happy Sunday Funday!
Welcome to the Nordhavn Across Puget Sound (NAPS) 2021 rendezvous in Poulsbo, WA! With a one year delay due to the pandemic, we're now finally able to gather with over 40 other beautiful Nordhavns to celebrate the boats we all love and cherish. We also had time to enjoy much of what makes the Port of Poulsbo one of THE best destinations for cruisers in the Pacific Northwest.
Enjoy!

How cool is that.....All helping All !
Great 🎼🎼 & video along with the drone shots !.
I watched the Nordhavn channel first and you guys were in it; COOL ! Keep enjoying LIFE & Have FUN !!!!!
I have a general question to all, "why do people come onto to this channel to run down Nordhavns or the blogs the owners put out. " Great video guys!
@John - Right on.... and I would respectfully add: probably a bit jealous too !!! LOL
Noooooooo we want to see more yachts 🥲. Thanks see you next week✨
The shopping cart moment though 😆
What an awesome sight, a marina full of only Nordhavn boats. Looks like you all had fun. Great video and drone footage as always. Thanks people 😉
Look at these people! Wheeling these Nordhavens around like parking a sports car!
So glad to see you in Poulsbo again. Drove Sluy's late this morning, only to see a line literally around the block. Next time you are in Poulsbo, be sure to check out Central Market. 10 different varieties of fresh oysters, imported French butter, a great fish counter, good selection of organic fruits & vegetables, even a place to plug in an electric vehicle. Not quite walking distance, but certainly an Uber or Lyft ride away.
After 65 years on the water, and a dedicated mid-Atlantic boater, you've got a lot of good elements for boaters up in the PNW, BUT ... It's just tooo damn Cold.
I wish you could spend a Month on the Chesapeake Bay. Boater Heaven.
Yep love The Bay ! Deltaville Virginia..
Paused the video to admire all the beautiful boats. I guess the smallest one I saw was the Nordhavn 35 classic. 😊
What a great meeting of mighty Nordhavn's and a good time was had by all as my friend used to say !
9:02... “a tridactyl shit on our deck”.... Priceless!! We don’t have tridactyl’s here in our Florida Marina ... but we do have pigeons who shit their weight... ever hour... I just evicted a family who broke in under our canvas and set up house on two nice and clean wash mitts I had stored at helm... made for an easy conversion to a nest... Stupid ME!! 😱 Took 10 seconds to evict... 2 hours to clean up... I’m like you... a Clean Boat is Happy Boat n Captain...😉
Maybe Mr. Sully could be trained to keep watch for them. Our little one dislikes crows and barks until they leave.
@@msweaver2 How much is he by the hour?? 😎
Still trying to decide on our boat and I must say that one of the many compelling advantages of a Nordhavn is the community. This sort of get-together looks like a lot of fun, as does having that shared resource of knowledge.
Nordhavns are built tough, great ocean crossers and so affordable on fuel! Our N40 burns about 1.5 gallons of fuel per hour cruising at 6 knots. It’s slower but affordable to cruise all day in 😄😄😄
Thank you guys for NAPS, Poulsbo On and on .
Congratulations to the couple. You always make interesting videos and also teach navigation. Keep it up. Greetings from Brazil (sorry I don't speak english, I use google translator)
It was great seeing all the aerial views of all the boats. It lets you see the relative sizes and styles of all the boat side by side. It's not something that there's a lot of out there.
Welcome to the adventures of Bag Lady Elizabeth and her shopping cart journeys!
so awesome to have a gathering like that in such a beautiful place
I’m am so happy to see your vlogs.
Grew up 15 to 19 yro in Silverdale.
Anacortes,Wa.
I am LOVING this channel. I did my first cruise on a 27' Ranger Tug on part of the Great Loop from NYC to Alpena, MI -- five weeks as a crew member. While it didn't work out as well as I hoped -- small boat with difficult other crew member (no problems with the Captain) -- I had an amazing time and learned a ton. We did marinas every night, which was a bit disappointing, but I did get to experience the Erie Canal and two of the Great Lakes before my early departure.
I experienced so many of the things you show in your videos -- like problems with ground transportation and troubleshooting minor problems. It's wonderful to see a channel that shares the REALITY of cruising instead of just the sugar coated high points.
I'm hoping to join another crew on a 36' Carver going up the Intracoastal Waterway from Savanah, GA to as far as we can get in 2 months at a relaxed rate of travel. This captain like to stay at Marinas AND anchor out once in a while. He's not in a hurry. I think I'll have a great time.
Anyway, thanks for the real life videos. I'll watch them all over the next few weeks. Travel safe and keep warm!
Nice, Going to the rendezvous reminds you that you're part of a large boating community of Nordhavn owners. Havn a great time learning, visiting and enjoying the comaraderie is wonderful.
I'm in love whit alll the boats there... Wauw..
Showing up with “A shopping cart” What the h..? . You are a good sport Elizabeth!
That was really cool to watch. My wife and I visit Poulsbo all the time and eat at the Loft and walk the town for little get away from Bainbridge. We always check the boats. Great line-up and I bet some great boat stories too. Nice club to be part of and share with the rest of us "dreamers".
Another great episode gang. Uber in Kitsap is hard to get. You are not alone.
Elizabeth, the shopping cart music was hilarious along with you videoing Shawn. I believe the bird had flown all the way from California, holding it in, Happy travels guys!before releasing the Big One on your pristine boat!
Greetings from Switzerland 🥰 On Sundays my Happy Hour is your videos. Thanks for sharing your life and the interesting Q&A's. Have fun, stay safe and I can't wait to see U in the next video.
Great video you two, I'm been following you since the purchase of Freedom and it's been a wonderful experience following your travels. Nordhavn's have a great community spirit. Wind! We know all about it here in the UK!
Sluys Bakery...carb heaven.
Was just there today! NO CAP ITS A BEAUTIFUL TOWN!
Good on ya! Great showing at the reunion
Used to sail a Sunfish in the bay there back in my teenage years. Capsized many a time while learning. Great times. Saw you guys there on the Nordhavn channel also. Largest rendezvous of Nordhavn’s ever...very cool!
Greetings from Anacortes.
Nice video and a perfect Nordhaven. Very interesting to see places we will never be able to visit, living in Norway . Love to follow you on YT. Also fun to see Poulsbo that means "Paul's place/farm" in Norwegian, and the population in 1900 were 90% norwegians. Learning somthing new every day :)
Very fun fact!
Good golly, I'm on the internet! My humans wanted me to let you know they had a great time hanging out with you in Poulsbo and Roche; keep the great videos coming!
We had a great time as well! Enjoy the donuts 😉
When Shawn said "A Pterodactyl shit on out boat deck." I lost it... I don't think I've ever heard either one of you swear on your channel, but sometimes, you've got to tell it like it is!!
Yeah forgot to bleep that one out 😳
@@mvfreedom No bleep needed! Shawn's reaction was perfectly appropriate!
MV Roxia is also one of my favorite boats. You should ask the owners to put it in their will to you. I’ve heard they are old.
GREAT idea! They’re the sweetest couple, maybe they’d also give us their dogs too 😉
Liked the 'leaving cypress Island' music selection. 😉
Fun! Cheers!
You guys gave us a good laugh with the cart
Having visited Paulsbo a couple of times, your group could not have chosen a better port for this event! I’m sure the merchants liked that you were there as well. Shawn really looked relaxed on this posting and you, Elizabeth, Always look wonderful!
I can’t stand how likable y’all are😂
Looks like great fun, I want a Nordhavn.
Great Vid, Thank You!!
Well I'm happy that you guys are enjoying yourself up there for all the north hobbins are hanging out in Washington everybody have a good time be safe and enjoy each other's company and the adventure and the stories that will be told the laughter that'll be shared the drink glasses that'll be bumps the food everybody will enjoy while they store up like Chipmunks and all their Glee
Nordhaven's seem to be everywhere. What was the largest one who you met up with. Your boat seems the perfect size for crusing. I am sure you all enjoyed and check out the other interiors. I would of loved to see the layouts, maybe someday. Thank you for sharing .
The N68 is the largest we’ve been on and it’s incredible, although too much boat for one couple in our opinions. Our N43 is spacious enough for us 👍
just wanted to congratulate you on the cinema photography on this Video, really sharp and great colour. I would be interested in a video on how and what you use to create your videos
For the “what we use”, we have a list of our gear in our video descriptions 👍
Really liking the Nordhavns!
Looks super fun. Glad it was such a great time,
I have to think that the crew of Freedom will be very Famous!
I’ve done the shopping cart shuffle a few times myself. Cheaper than calling a cab for a 5 minute drive.
Looks like so much fun, thanks for bringing us along.....
I love the shopping cart music.
I want one of those Viking Cups! Wow! Love cream cheese! Carrot cake.....I already had breakfast darn it!😎😎😎
The only issue I have with this weeks video is that those Viking Cups did NOT use a brandied cream cheese!!! 😟😉
Central Market, just down the road from Safeway, locally owned and superior service and selection.
Central is the BEST! Amazing that a store of that size and quality is located there. Something you think you would only see in a really large city.
Great video guys! I especially enjoyed the background music. Classic!
thanks again folks for another interesting and fun video. love being on the water. launching my new achilles in east grand traverse bay on memorial day. godspeed. JDR
We used your website link and bought some shirts. Supporting your awesome channel and will be rocking the shirts in Japan. Stay safe and stay you. Awesome videos and content. Thank you both. Make Memorial Day special for yourselves and enjoy.
This video made my day! We were there that weekend for our ASA 104 bareboat sailing course, our first trip to Poulsbo! We were wondering why there were so very many Nordhavns there. 😂
Great job !
We go to poulsbo a lot and it’s so fun with my cousins and stuff
I remember Trawler Fest and Selene rendezvous
What you do to that pteryadactyl to make foul your deck! Love the footage of Shawn pushing the cart. Definitely got your steps in that day.
Another great video. What an array of beautiful boats. Are there any "single" Nordhaven owners???
None here but there are some 😉
All perfect, thank you.
Another great video .... thank you !
I Wish I knew about this because Poulsbo is pretty close to me and i was just boating there a few days ago
Thsnks for the video. I was hoping to see a sampling of other boats, maybe a preview of future tours of some of these boats. Missed opportunity? Maybe the other owners are shy.
Didn’t want to invade their space!
agreed. Would love to see you do some 'deep dive' boat tours...compare and contrast features etc based on your experiences. Even other brands such as Selene or similar. Help give those of us without liveaboard experience a bit of perspective with your experience.
Nice video, looks like a fun event. Regarding partial full tanks, do you have a stability concern due to the free surface or is the vessel designed to allow this?
Great aerial video this time. Did a lot of pauses to admire and try to identify the many types of Norhavn’s.
Whoops, forgot the “d” in Nordhavn.
Add a fuel bar and grey water pump out to the concept!
What’s a Viking Cup? Awesome episode!
The best thing you’ll ever eat!
Thanks to your shirt, I had to dim my screen.
lots of beautiful boats in that harbor! I wish you had toured and filmed the interior of some of the other boats. But i can understand that owners may not approve of that.
Them Birds had some rank coffee I think! 😂
Lekker man lekker
Really great program
Thankfully, you didn't get a cart with a wonky wheel...
After you guys enjoying Poulsbo so much, any chance you'll rename the boat "Uff Da"? :-)
That's what my surgeon said when he looked at the x-ray of my back ;-) (true story)
How did you not get footage of you and Shawn helping dock that poor Nordy in the wind.... that was scary !
Check out the video from Nordhavn posted yesterday, that captured more of it!
Should’ve posted a link
@@mvfreedom Yes, that was fantastic!
Cool!! Saw my friends boat at 15:53.
Love your videos! I see that you are leaving Roche Harbor today (Friday). If you continue south past Whidbey Island, just before you pass Partridge Point, I'll wave to you from my deck. :)
I think you need your own shopping cart. Perhaps you could add a shopping cart to a platform on your dingy so you do not have to return the shopping cart! 😉
Shopping cart gate!
Loved your video. So entertaining and fun to watch. 😎🐾🌬⚓🙋♀️🦘
Gostei, parabéns.
I never call Uber or any of those services. I always take a taxi as a matter of principle. It's their "turf", they have better insurance, less maniacle drivers, and never flake out on you.
SAME. ALWAYS.
HIRE A PRO.
Awesome video !!
Nice, looked like a fun day. Question, Would you consider putting a big Go Leafs Go! banner on your boat!! :-) I know how you feel about things on your boat.... makes Christmas more difficult... but fun. Loving the Nordhavns. Hoping one day I can get one, but at this point may be closer to retirement until that happens. Fun show you two have put together.
Me and others here in Hawaii are also having hard times to get a Uber car rides! We don't know whats going on with the services now. It's been like this for more then 4 weeks now.
Uber is just starting to get back to normal down here in South Florida.
Also, all these owners should start their own youtube channels so we could see how they live life in other nordhavn models. 😅
WOW that was some serious winds
In the flyover of your drone shot, Did I see one of the new 41's? COOL!
Is there a list of all the models in the NAPS 2021?
Love your videos! We noticed what looks like a guitar in the background. Which of you plays, and can you play something for us?
A Nordhavn convention without a horn concert???
Hey guys we’re you been ? Miss yall
Hey guys. Great video. Question on your Nordhavn gathering. Some of those boats, (the dark blue hull) looked to be over 60 ft. Are they run by the owner or are they crew ran. Thanks for the great content as always.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the N41 at NAPS
Great coastal cruiser for a couple!
So when do you guys get enough miles under your keel that you get the bungee flag for the bow pulpit?
Awesome loves seeing all the boats. One question, if there is one thing you took away from the other boats that you would add to your boat what would that be?
Probably about 20 feet!??? Maybe 🤣
