Considering Yamaha's recent moves I did not expect them to not shelf this bike completely. But yes Japanese manufacturers keeping supersports alive is such great news nowadays. The R6 getting the same treatment would be perfect.
Yamaha’s decision to not homologate the YZF-R1 to EU5+ emissions is specific to the European Market. The already Euro 5 compliant YZF-R1 will remain a street legal model in the US market.
@@YamahaMotorUSAno, it's not. Yamaha might sell the r1 for a little bit in America, but eventually they too will end it. You people really need to make up your minds. One day, you're screaming about how "supersports don't belong on the road" and you try to ban them. The very next day you're sitting here PRETENDING you were ever a fan of them in the first place. You're frauds.
Although compare to other manufactures, YAMAHA’s flagship sport bike seems really outdated now, but if you racing a R1 you will understand the logic behind this, R1 is still a race wining package across the world, it’s electronic is “bland” but very very well configured, many many aftermarket racing parts, and with a reliable and smooth engine, it’s overall a practical and more affordable platform to race on till this day. I’m really happy to see the new R1 have an updated brake system as they are always the main weakness since 2015.
Thank god you guys are still making the r1 and continue to make them in USA I wish you would bring back the r6 that is my favorite bike! Everyone is ripping people off over charging for an r6 please bring the r6 back please. 🙏🏼 I prefer the r6 please please bring them back to USA. My first bike was a 2000 r6 and wanted to buy a 2017-2020 r6 but people over charging for them dealerships are even worse. But regardless I’m glad we have the R1 still 🙌🏼

It's funny because all the sales reps at the dealer's in my area were saying nope no 2025 they're discontinued but if you in fact read the entire article you'd know that it was discontinued in europe.. I hope this is in fact the case.Because i've been waiting for a new track build

What an amazing surprise! I love my Ducati, but I am very interested in the 2025 R1! Brembo brakes are a huge upgrade! I love the new KYB bronze forks paired with Team Yamaha Blue! Bike looks amazing Great Job!
Hope this new updates and aero could improve the performance specially the top speed to compete with more powerful bikes on track nxt season. I thought they will put on a 1000+cc engine to fight with the DUCATIs or BMWs.. But they stick with 998, well as a yamaha fan, i will still cheer for team blue all the way✊💪
I wouldn't trade Yamahas reliability for a slightly more powerful ducati. I know like 3 guys that have R1s with over 100,000km. So as a customer who can't find the true limits of either machine like 99.99999% of other riders, I know where my money is going.
I know people who rushed out to buy a 24 are going to be upset, because there was a lot of talk saying that the R1 was being discontinued. I just saw a person pick up theirs like two weeks ago because they wanted to have one. Now that bike will crash in resale because of an updated 2025 R1
So glad it's continuing, by why dubb in CP3 sounds for the unmistakable sound of a CP4 on some of the shots. Mistake, or hinting at what's to come with an R9? Would be appropriate for a teaser vid, but not here.
Don't get too pissed. According to the US site, the brakes appear to be unchanged from '24 R1M. Changes only appear to be new carbon fairings, wheel color, and winglets.
I live in EU and have the RN65, are those brembo breaks available to upgrade the current model and road legal? I love my bike but the breaks are… R1 being R1

I've had 2 R1s and 1 R1M. Outstanding motorcycles, but yes, the front brake overhaul was overdue. Good call. Side note: put the teeth back in the MT10. I had the previous generation and the current generation. The current generation sucks. The electronic limiting of the power output in the lower gears is way too intrusive and took the fun out of the bike. Plus the wonderful sound is now gone... though I don't know if there is a way to fix that with euro 5 compliance. I didn't keep my new one long, as it was quite a disappointment.

What love to see the R9 next Yamaha
I'm from Russia, recently bought a 2014 Yamaha R1, Yamaha is the best! You are the best =)
For some reason I thought the R1 was being discontinued. 😅
Fake and 🌈 News
It is. There are not going to make the R1 Euro 6 compliant. So when the new emission regulations come out. There will no longer be R1s for sale

No Europe 😢
I was told at the dealer 2024 was the last year that’s why bought one. Darn hook line and sinker I guess!
Your marketing team deserves an Oscar.
It hurts to see, what we here in Europe could have gotten for the streets. It looks absolutely stunning 😔
Winglets look good, brembo brakes, kyb forks, good to see standard. Please keep the R1 in the U.S. indefinitely. 🍻
R1m is so awesome
So glad you think so! 💙
The moment I rode the 2014 R1, it was throttle-wide, love at first ride! I hope the same with this one too.

If it comes with a gas gauge ill buy it!

Just use the fuel consumption gauge.

In Europe they are discontinued. There was never any sign, and still are no signs of it being discontinued in North America.
Best design ever
I really want to know the maximum capacity of the R1 2025 when they are strictly controlled because of ERU5+ emission standards😅

Will you bring the r1 in v4 engine if the motogp m1 v4 proves to be successful in motogp?
R1 is my emotions....
Everything is okay but we need more power in engine😊
The sad part is I cannot buy it in India 😢 .... It's my all time dream bike ...
2024 + winglet = 2025🎉
What about the power delivery is it still the same as the 2024 model?
I like it, but why would the R1M not come with the Brembos as well? I'd love to see a bigger, updated display as well.

Why aren’t the brembos on the R1m?

no brembo on the r1m?
Good progress finally getting Brembo brakes. However, please tell me if the engine has been updated as well or is making the same power as last year.
Making the same hp since 2015.
Great bike i love yamaha❤

Brembo's on the standard version, but not the M? The R1M should have had Brembo to begin with.
Genuine question, why build a track specific motorcycle but not put a belly pan on it?
Does the R1m come with brembos? Cuz it doesn’t look like it
I am so glad I didn’t buy a 2024 now that the new R1 has good brakes!
✊👍🔥

Where can I buy Wingnet?
Is it possible to mount 2024 R1M Wingnet?
