THAT'S what i'm talking about! All those unrealistic take offs where a bomber goes "bamm" and is 100ft in the air. finally a smooth take-off. Very well done!
Great exhibition! Congratulations! It looks like she needed more coordinated rudder in the turns as she seemed to skid a bit as we'd expect for a model of this size. Bring it to the States for a tour!
1:46 you can actually see exactly when the wings start generating lift by the way the plane tilts forward on it's landing gear. Amazing work! My compliments on the choice of plane to model, the late model B-25 is one of my all time favorite aircraft designs of all time. Magnificent!
I love seeing these large scale models, though my 2 favorite aircraft of WWII are the F4U Corsair and the P51D Mustang, I love them all. Even the ME109's were well done.
respect x 10. Holy crap ,I've seen many nice warbirds but this one is by far the nicest and most professionally built I've ever seen, save a few by Ali.
Wow that's big! Gezz you know it's a large model when it takes 3 guys to walk it back to the pits. Plus it's own "follow me" taxi jeep! Nice, G.I.Joe scale? Awesome. I Love big scale. I build some of the largest scale model ships in the world. The largest one I'm working on now is a 60 foot Model of a 1797 American Brig of war. About 50% scale.
G'day absolutely fantastic aircraft areal credit to their builders, the scale and detail is impeccable thanks goes to the great camera work which is not easy but you did a great job just keeping it in frame thank you I really enjoyed watching that kind regards John Tasmania Australia
This was filmed with my old HD camcorder. Very old tech now so good to hear you like the results but I think you would enjoy our newer UltraHD/4K video more. Please subscribe and take a look. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
This beautiful airplane was lost due to pilot error. Flying engines on too small of props and the throttle mashed to the max. Impressive sound two screaming radials!! So was the silence when one blew up!!
You all probably dont care but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Magnus Barrett Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Magnus Barrett DAMN IT REALLY WORKED :O I literally got access to my Instagram account details within about 30 minutes by using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but for sure worth the money :) Thank you so much, you really help me out!
DANG..!!!! ha- THAT thing is HUGE (what SHE said).. Hey- if you're going to put that much money into one- BUILD A REAL ONE!! ha. THANKS guys- GREAT video and great job on the plane.. I LOVE watching these..
The soul and spirit of man and woman need to be fed and their thirst quenched. The comforts of bought items and a TV set in a warm room does not cater for the all we need. There is an activity in the human mind that can only be satisfied when dealing with nature. Here is is, all catered for, with people admiring the works of others who operate at a high level and they are brave enough to risk their efforts. Congratulations, such get together of brave men and women where the depth of thought behind all those complex operations and hidden processes including the Radio Control link is a great achievement which Kings and Queens 100 years ago could not enjoy and could not generate the brain power any way. And then after considering the high level intelligence behind all this these people suppliment it all with a great sense of humour, a little scale jeep to accompany the Mitchell Bomber. The accompanying fighters were beautiful and I thought it brave of the pilots to operate in field where they had to clear those trees. Sometimes words are not enough, so , wish I was there with you, but as I could not, well here I am with you is soul and in spirit. Enjoy yourselves and thank you for a pensive few minutes here in my home. We flew models in my time , but not as high class and quality as these. Congratulations again and thank you for the inner feelings you generated , enjoyed every minute of it seeing such brave people risking so many hours of hard work!
When it taxi's back with the flaps down it reminds me of when I was learning to fly. I left the flaps down after landing and as we headed back to the ramp - my instructor turned to me and said "Why are we telling the guy in the tower that we've been hijacked?" lol. I was wondering if bringing the flaps up just after touch down would put the remaining weight on the wheels and bring it to a stop quicker in the model? I'm not sure how those types of aerodynamics work when scaled down. Happy landings!
Essential RC Wow !! More than my own weight !! This makes a big plane !! Unbelievable !! I hope that your future flights are going as well as this one !! Well Done !! Sincerely, Didier.
Really blurs the line between modeling and what we like to call the "real thing". I'm reminded of Hardy Kruger's and James Stewart's 'spirited' exchange(s) in The Flight of the Phoenix. I would have loved to have been able to show this video to my Dad. Best regards.
@@krotchlickmeugh627 Yes, in the original film Hardy Kruger went to great lengths to get that point across. Simply because the model aircraft would not have a pilot aboard.
Thanks Uwe. An awe inspiring model. If you see the owner again please thank him for bringing it over to Weston Park Show and entertaining the crowd. Cheers Dom
what is thrust in lbs?curious about T A S at full power, any chance on getting a radar reading.honestly if you put 4 of those 400cc moki radials in an appropriate size B17 or something of the like you could sit in it and fly it.I bet somebody is thinking about it if I am you guys are more than awesome we are proud of you.
A question, maybe a dumb one, but can/are these planes capable of being flown based on view from onboard camera, or do the flyers operate them strictly by ‘3rd person’ view?
Looks a little shy of 1/3 scale - - the real B-25 has a 68 foot wingspan and is 53 foot long - having flown in a few myself . . . that does not look 1/3. nice though whatever the actual scale.
Why did no2 Me109 pilot not line up and complete the formation as planned he ruined the whole effect it would have been simple maneuver to get in behind the Mitchell and slow down enough to stay there - too bad if I was the Mitchell pilot I would have been annoyed at the poor airmanship but on the bomber's part as well there seemed to be poor planning breaking circuit and approaching and landing downwind ...Pilot criticism aside this is a magnificent masterpiece of model engineering and finish and it must have been a treat to watch it in person!
Most fuckîng butiful ass plane ever I have a 1/3 scale he111 and109e and sop with triplane I love my bf110 thou my fav I'm 17 and put in a lot of money
This was filmed way back with an old cam. I use a pro 4K cam now with a good mic. Take a look at my more recent stuff and you'll see a big difference. But appreciate the feedback. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

What a beautiful B-25! The pilot gets an A+ on scale flight. The low passes were awesome! I'm just glad the Luftwaffe didn't shoot it down. ;)

The aerodynamics and even building is identical just scaled-down. Hence why the plane flew at the end of the movie

Nope. Not enough thrust.
But someone did make a mini b17 that can be flown by a person.
100 hundred years from now, that will be the ONLY way to see a B-25 flying.
mon futur warbird pour saint quentin !!!
Why do those bloody public address guys think they have to blabber through the whole performance.
keep their job?

Yep, they are interminably annoying.
Same at every airshow. So bloody annoying
I would much rather listen to the sound of the engines than some idiot blathering over a poor sound system.

A question, maybe a dumb one, but can/are these planes capable of being flown based on view from onboard camera, or do the flyers operate them strictly by ‘3rd person’ view?
This size at an even. Strictly los. (Line of sight)
But FPV flight is a thing.
lol the little jeep driving around

What for a great plane!
Wow very cool!!!

Should have had smoke so it looked like the German plane shot it down, and one of the luftwaffe too.
Why does it take 6 years to build??? Only about 2 months...
How much money do you think is in that monster? Crazy
It's written in the description.
Wonder if it can drop little bombs
It could if they set it up. I've seen much smaller model RC planes drop flour bombs and parachutes. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
