A great video, thanks Don! Since you asked what minis we'd like to see painted - I have a small request if possible: I keep hearing that speedpaints are not good for flat surfaces without much detail - imagine e.g. a side of a tank or something flat. How can we paint such item so it doesn't look bad after (brushstrokes, coffee stains?). Much respect from Poland man!
Oh wait, you did cover the subject when painting the dragon, I needed to rewatch it... get a bigger brush and try to paint faster + use speedpaint medium. :)
The washes are easier to control since they are more subtle. Since this video are for beginners, I did not use “speedpaint medium” to make Speedpaints act like washes. So I just shifted to using washes for simplicity. 😊

3D printed figures have gotten so much better ! I love it !
The sculpt of @mammothfactory is beautiful, and the 9k printing showed off the details really well. 😊
Such a great work ☺☺
Wow thank you sir. 😊🎨🎨🎨

Great job! Love the way you explained it I think I can paint a mini now.
Awesome! Thanks for watching! Happy painting! 😊🎨🎨🎨
beatiful work, always a treat to see what you make with a model. Really like the more muted tones you decided to use, makes it feel very organic.
Glad you liked it Lukas! I chose the muted tones here, to highlight the details of the miniature better. 😊🎨🎨🎨
I see a video from Don, I click thumbs up. 😎
Awesome! Thanks man! 👍🏼🎨🎨🎨
Speed painting may be very frustrating in the beginning. Thanks for the advices, Don.
Welcome! True. I have a ton of speedpaint videos. Cheers! 😊🎨🎨🎨
Do you apply a varnish in between your base coat and washes? Once complete with washes due you apply another varnish?
Normally I do. But with this one I did not. 😊🎨🎨🎨
In prior videos you had mentioned that you can and do use a rattle can for the white/grey primer?
Yes. This one, the grey primer is a rattle can / spraycan. 😊
What are your bottles topped with?

Oh you answered your own question man! 😅
Airbrushing speedpaints is awesome. Maybe that would be my next video. 😊🎨🎨🎨
👍👍👍👍👍👍
😊🎨🎨🎨
i don't quite understand when you use washes and when speed paints after the initial speed painting?
The washes are easier to control since they are more subtle. Since this video are for beginners, I did not use “speedpaint medium” to make Speedpaints act like washes. So I just shifted to using washes for simplicity. 😊
@ ooooh, I see. ;) so usually youd use thinned speedpaint instead?
@ Yes in most cases. Since thinned Speedpaint has more coverage, more color. 😊
Hi Don😊
Hi! :)
The paintbrushes from Foxbite have helped with the flow of the contrast and washes over the model. It looks good.
I am really liking this synthetic brushes so far. I need to use it more though, before I recommend. :)
Is this a Rooster?
Alien 👽
@@DonSuratos He means the noises in the background. :) Cockadoodledooooo!!
@ haha! Yes! Two neighbors have them. 😬
