Very sad to see Flotrack promote someone who has never taken responsibility for using performance enhancing substances. She served her sentence and I am fine with her trying to salvage her career but why are American media companies celebrating her? If this was an East African, I doubt there would be such fervor for a return to professional racing. What a role model!
You said just what I was thinking. Americans hate on African and Spanish runners who are caught, so much vitriol against Mo Katir for example, but if it's one of their own it's somehow okay when they come back to the sport. Such hypocrisy.
I’m sure she’s getting media because she lives in the US and it’s easier to get her on camera than paying to go to Spain or Africa. If you dislike her not taking responsibility on the video don’t worry AIU made her take responsibility, that’s why she hasn’t done anything in 4 years.
I agree she served her time and deserves a chance but I think a lot of ppl still annoyed she continues to insult intelligence by sticking with the burrito story. It’s cool- everybody makes mistakes especially when u have so much pressure and desire.
@ sadly nobody is stopping the drugs cheat being given a 2nd chance in the sport but it’s a bad look when media outlets are entertaining these doped up dirty athletes
One name...Erriyon Knighton. Food Ox Tails...No Ban. Leave Shelby alone let her work and redeem herself. She will come back better than she was. “Real G's move in silence like lasagna” Shelby is a real G!
People calling her a “doping cheat” are acting like she tested for 1000 ng/dL of Test… Her positive result was *not* clear-cut. It fell on the wrong side of several technical WADA rules which are not universally agreed on. I can’t say for certain she wasn’t using, but she got an enormous penalty for a case that was far from obvious.
@@EtienneYT Nandrolone is (i) produced endogenously; but (ii) in very small amounts. This means that natural variances, such as in pregnant women, or after consumption in food, can cause significant variances relative to the “legal limit”. It’s not the same as testosterone, where “3 times the legal limit” would require supplementation.
You cannot dope form or hard work. I don’t support her and I don’t hate her guts either. I think it is important to know that sport is entertainment. People who are at the top will always do whatever they can to be at that level. Does this mean that they dope that is for personal decision I think but when you have trained the house down in a good training plan too and then fell short of all of these times then you question what else is going on. How different is one’s body to another when you dedicate each second to being the best naturally but still fall extremely short. Props to her though for keeping consistent that is one thing that is inspiring how she has held onto everything with such dedication etc and at her age when she does not have so many “prime” years left either keeping that level of discipline is what should be highlighted
She was a sweet and tender Houlihan And she said that she'd never, never do it again And of course she won't (Not until the next time) *"sweet and tender hooligan" by The Smiths playing in the background*
Meanwhile, I'm trying to get back on track of my January goals that I'm already behind on with not much time left. Good inspiration 👏 I will definitely get a run in this evening.
Erriyon Knighton we can't pick and choose. He is such an amazing athlete but so is Shelby. Why did Shelby get banned and he didn't? It wasn't fair at all.

The narrators use of "pushing the boundaries" could mean a few different things 😅
She tested positive, did her time and now is back. All the perfect people in the comments can STFU. Forgiveness is greater than your hate.
Doping once permanently raises your ceiling so...

@@doragreen3887 totally agree with that point. It's annoying. Just say I did it, got caught and I'm back clean.
How can they ban her from practicing with a group? That seems unconstitutional.
The AIU is international.
I will be glad to watch Shelby compete again.
Good luck this year, wishing you the best Shelby
Let's go SHELBY!!!!! Can't wait to see that kick again in a race!
I’m here for the 2025 redemption tour! Go get em’!
She will be a contender! The good ole ruthless Houlihan kick is incomparable! Best of luck Shelby!
Most important part, the post workout burrito 😉
🫢🤣
Hope to see Shelby logging some good race times this year!
She is not working out alone. She keeps slipping and almost telling on herself 😂
Showing a drug cheat is a cooked method
Dumb comment.

Don't like the tattoos, but I will be supportive/cheering for her!
Irrelevant comment.
Insane...redemptive and inspiring
I’m rooting for her!
Very disappointed that you would showcase a blatant drug cheat.
She's done her time.
Very disappointed in your profile pic.
Go Devils
Didn’t she compete in a beer mile while she was banned?
Normal shoes at those speeds. Impressive.
Formerly banned
The American GOAT!! Y'all had 4 years to break her record but COULDN'T DO IT 😜
I don’t care if Shelby competes again, she served her time. My issue is the complete lack of accountability. She should not be given a platform.
I agree. The evidence against her was overwhelming but she's still protesting her innocence.
I hope she comes back better than ever like Gatlin.
Good luck Shelby.
Great content! I will be watching any future races.
Why glamourise and give publicity to a drugs cheat?
You've never been given any second chances, chump?

Your comment gives her more publicity. So ask yourself, hun :)
I can't wait for my fav runnr to return. Lets go!!
Shelby going to kill , doping or not her hard work can’t go unnoticed.

Please come back stronger
Have always loved watching you run. Best wishes. Bruce in Iowa

There was enough evidence to ban her. Was she wrong? Yes. Should she continue to race? Yes, if she can stay clean.
