im 60,... love that band! reminds me of the great days of music, of the 80s!! great music is making a come back! than you so much guys!! keep up the the great work, making magic happen!!
Another older listener who has just been taken back to the 80s and John Peel sessions. 14 Iced Bears mixed with Depeche Mode, New Wave, and Flock of Seagulls and many others. A fantastic sound. I will be looking out for this band and buying their album.
Gen X reporting in, lol. Yeah the first time I heard Nation of Language on Sirius XM, I thought, totally 80s wave sound! Then I saw how young they were, and my hope was restored for the future of all humankind. I've never heard of 14 Iced Bears...or maybe I did and didn't know the name. I'll check it out, thanks!
@@fettaboyproductions6022 You misunderstand me, this is a gloriously clean performance I was just referring to the fire alarm going off in the background and how they just powered through it unbothered and still vibing. I genuinely think it adds to the experience
21:05 when Aiden said "who are these people" it was hilarous for me because I'm Colombian and i love so hard this music, in fact, Nation of language is my favorite band nowdays. If you guys, read this, i want to tell you YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! and i'm so thankful for knew you in pandemic. In a country where you listen reggaeton music everywhere, this kind of music is magic and it comes to my soul, it's amazing, indescribable what i feel when i listen this songs. One day I'll see you in a live concert and i will cry while i dance too. I LOVE YOUR MUSIC, I LOVE YOUR ART!
Same, I didn't expect to find a new band I enjoy so much at this age. They've really got something here. Sure maybe it's not totally original, but who cares, good is good.
It's true. There was OMD's Organisation. There was Depeche Mode until Vince left, then he gave us Yazoo for a while. And then I had to wait a long time for that itch to get scratched again.
If you enjoy live music, Nation of Language is INCREDIBLE in concert! 35+yrs of attending live shows and their Toronto show was easily in my top 3! (I am personally responsible for at least 1000 views of this video alone!)
Thanx, You Wonder Sorcerers! I'll take the freedom to feel invited, for on the 29th of August I was born.😁🥰..some time ago.. such a BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. Bravo!
Holy.......... Just when I fixate on a new (to me) band, like Wet Leg, I find another one and love that they even referenced them in this set. SO many familiar feels come back listening to this style of music, yet it is still fresh with their own signature. It's a fine line between nailing a previously established sound or genre and making it your own, or coming off like a cover band. Which they OBVIOUSLY aren't!! My goodness, I'm hitting that share button over and over because like DJ Morgan said, "Sharing is Caring!" Thank you everyone at KEXP and all of the bands, this is such an amazing time we live in and keep it coming!!
Damn. You guys. I genuinely can't wait to listen to the album from start to finish. Everything you've put out so far has hit me like I cant even explain. I love you guys!
They played the Grey Eagle down the street from our house in Asheville, NC 11/08/23 and they killed it. Their show is in my top three of the year, including Vieux Farke Toure (also at the GE) and Peter Gabriel in Vancouver. They are that good, and the energy of their show is on another level. Maybe it is the influences of growing up in the 80s, but they are as good as any of those bands, and not derivative in any way. Keep on keeping on!
Not quite sure why KEXP broadcast this towards the end of August from their festival and then temporarily took it away. Nevermind: cracking live performance and thankyou KEXP for introducing me to another great band. Up the sonic eighties!!!!!
The mix is so much better than the album ! Thank you KEXP. For an obscur reason, the vocal in the album is so drown in reverb and hidden by the rest. You're singing great man, don't cover it too much

A Flock of Seagulls/14 Iced Bears album now that would be a thing!

One of the best things I have ever seen and heard. They are astounding. I am OBSESSED!
Super cool band! I just found them now. Wonderful!
Great stage presence, outstanding vocal, intelligent bass. As for keyboards... the whole package.
I'm blown away by them. Can't pick a fault, and you're right about the keys ;)
One of the best set pieces i’ve seen. The mishaps only add to the vibes.
The technical difficulties in this performance are absolutely sublime. Such a relaxed performance in the pocket
If only every live performance was this clean ....
get out of here with this fake tr/st

How am I just now finding out about this band?!? What an amazing set.
Wow. Love it! This Gen Xer can hear A-ha, OMD, Alphaville, and other 80s New Wave influences. September Again is a banger for sure!
Same, I didn't expect to find a new band I enjoy so much at this age. They've really got something here. Sure maybe it's not totally original, but who cares, good is good.
Yes! Just discovered them and loving it!
I’m an older guy and this is mind blowing it sounds just like the 80s did
It's true. There was OMD's Organisation. There was Depeche Mode until Vince left, then he gave us Yazoo for a while. And then I had to wait a long time for that itch to get scratched again.
When i first heard these guys i had to check. I thought it was some 80s band i never heard of.😂

If you enjoy live music, Nation of Language is INCREDIBLE in concert! 35+yrs of attending live shows and their Toronto show was easily in my top 3! (I am personally responsible for at least 1000 views of this video alone!)

Fantastic! Glad to see you in Hamburg soon ! „Draußen im Grünen“ will be a fantastic location

Damn. You guys. I genuinely can't wait to listen to the album from start to finish. Everything you've put out so far has hit me like I cant even explain. I love you guys!
it's interesting how they carry darkwave and post punk. By the way, I like the content on your channel.
I cannot get enough. I feel 16 again and transported back to The Record Rack in Houston where music first taught me how to escape.

Smiths. Human League. Stranglers. There is a lot going on, but very simply rendered. Wow! I like it.
Nail on the head, his sounds really reminds me of Morrissey
Echo and the Bunnymen... Teardrop Explodes too... but Human League was my first thought....
Wow... just discovered this band. Amazing !!! Love "September Again" sooooo much :)

Looks like the took out the bell disruption of the original
We re-edit video and master (occasionally remix) audio of all of our sessions.

I’m here after falling in love with them at ACL Fest!!! They were my favorite this weekend.
Strong vocals.
That's rare these days.
Hands down my favorite show from last year. So much fun and energy.
Great to see Harry, Hermione & Ron making magic in different ways!
Not funny
Hahaha how is this not the top comment. Brilliant! Very funny
The untalented often take refuge in puerile humour. It’s a defence mechanism for those with meaningless lives
@@MR-bq1cy It made me laugh 😂
What they don’t look anything alike

The mix is so much better than the album ! Thank you KEXP. For an obscur reason, the vocal in the album is so drown in reverb and hidden by the rest. You're singing great man, don't cover it too much
