Welcome back to another episode, Loners! In this video, we looked at the infamous Berghain night club in Berlin. Brian is a fan of techno music so it was especially interesting to him to hear more about this hidden fortress of music. the Elon Musk story is rather an urban myth. if the Britney story is true is also questionable. not questionable is that also famous people have in general not more chances to get in (means, its likely that many known ppl got not in but thats rather unknown) ...
I love Berghain :) And I'm definitely not the coolest kid in the block. I go there with my friends from Turkey, Spain, Peru, Yemen, Australia, the US and anyone else. My girlfriends love it there because they can be as uninhibited as hardly anywhere else. The sound is amazing, which is why we're going. They have infrastructure for wheelchair access, and a deaf community who loves the vibrating bass from the massive sound systems. The 'exclusivity' is mostly aimed at one-time visitors, e.g. tourists. Why? Because you don't want it overrun by people gawking at the gays and the 'debauchery' and be made fun of or end up in some insta story or tiktok while you're high as a kite, no straight mates groups thinking they can have easy grabs at the women, and no 18 year olds collapsing because they randomly eat p1lls like candy. Therefore you should have a clue about techno culture, dr*g use if you are so inclined (and I have straight edge friends going there, too), sex positive environments if you want to go. Is it perfect, is it always fair? No, because it can't always be with 3,000 people a night inside. But they're striving to, in my opinion.

My daughter got in here a few years ago and she saw some stuff going on that she will probably never see again! I know she didn't tell me everything but she was in for the weekend and it definitely gave her a different view on life.
That is a strangely written video. Berghain is not the club to go to if you don't like cigarette smoke.
I've been to many, but Berghain is something else. It's just another planet. I love Panorama too, but Berghain's dance floor.. God! (Your second pronunciation was better)

what is always missed in those videos about the Berghain is one of the most important aspects for such a club: the sound quality. similar to a classical concert hall you need an extra (re-)design and also having with just a few other clubs (in relation to the many clubs in the world) having the worlds best sound systems. as long people dont get that an important difference is like watching videos/movies with 720 (usual club) vs. HD (clubs like Berghain) they dont understand a FUCK! its not enough just calling oneself an exclusive club - you have to offer REAL substance (which is based on architecture/design/science). as long people dont understand that (because always a wrong focus on bla bla) they forget one of the main reasons WHY one want in the Berghain in the first place.

the name comes from the “berg” from the Berlin district of Kreuzberg and the “hain” from the Berlin district of Friedrichshain.
The ever changing acronym, is pretty much excepted by society, in neary all of Europe. The statement that the US is very open / accepting, I find to be false if ony by comparison. The Dutch were the first when it comes to same gender marriage, which I think was followed by Germany, the US followed after several countries implemented this. (Just 1 example.)

It is not misogynist to have an exclusively gay club. It is not misandrist to have an exclusively lesbian club. We all need our third spaces. Our niches. Today we might say "safe spaces". You wanna take that away? Just make everything the same everywhere for all no matter what your personal taste is? If it's for everyone, it's for no one.
The same men that visit the lab won't be able to enter an exclusively lesbian club. And that's ok.

it is the most exclusive club, because audiences of the other comparable exclusive clubs' in the world would usually not get in (while they meet each other in those clubs). money does not help. being famous does not help. being poor btw. also not. it is NOT like a usual 'exclusive club' ...
