*This makes my old motor look like a toy **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it's well built. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm very sure it will perform just fine.*

Great video sir and I just pursued a 14ft aluminum vhaul and finally found a 25hp merc. I also just bought 4 kayaks for my 3 kids and I. I bought the 55lb thrust endura from cabales for the 14ft, but getting ready to rig up a mount for my kayak because dad isn't as good as I once was with paddling lol.

I got same one and had it mounted on the rear side of a all aluminum canoe.
At 5 it literally made the front end of my canoe raise up and man I was moving pretty quick , it was real pleasant surprise.
Thing runs so quietly fish don't get spooked at all and I actually killed a fish as it swam into the motor blades.

I found one of these that was being put out to the trash . They are not hard to fix and parts are cheap . The one I have needs a new switch but still works on 3 out of 5 speeds . Switch will be coming some day . Only about $20 give or take . Thank you !

I run mine on a 23 foot fiberglass boat with a Alten brand 12 volt generator. It's a great backup to get me home when the big V8 breaks down and it has enough power to troll on the 4000 pound boat, even though they will tell you to go to 24 volts on a boat over 19 feet.

Good vid! I was thinking on the camo version of this same motor (Minn Kota Endura 55 Camo 36" shaft) for my 12ft Smokercraft duck boat and I think that's going to be the one. Wanted to see how fast this will move a boat through the water and it looks like that will not be a problem at all. :)

If it’s your only motor I wouldn’t go any smaller. I have a 13’ Alaskan. The 30lb is fine because I have a 15hp Evinrude as well. If I didn’t have the gas motor I would go as big a trolling motor as I could afford. Any decent wind you’re going to want more oomph. I’d 45 lb is absolute min.

Great video! I just bought one myself, 12v 50lb thrust 42" shaft, for my 12' jon boat. I'm going to try it on my 18' bass buggy pontoon as well, since it's kind of a pain to use the 40HP to creep up to the shore. I do have to mount it to the bow on the pontoon, though.

I have an Endura 55 and Endura Max . I had just broken off a tab on the transom mount. I think it's because of the way I've been trailering it. I usually tilt it back . I cant get it completely horizontal because of my seat situation. My question is. Should I bring it up as far as I can and leave it perpendicular to the boat on my trailer to avoid the stress on the tabs caused by the trailer bouncing? Too much of a hassle to dismount the motor all the time.

Two years later this motor is going strong ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite

    • @sickegg2000

C2 has not battery meter on the head unit, and it's also fix to gear levels. Forward 1-5, reverse 1-3. This one is variable throttle, just means more smoother gear level like a car kind of, it's not fix gear level like C2. I have been debating between the 2. I like Endura Max more...
