    I still row with mine. But it sure helps hold a course and have efficient strokes with oar. Cruise yo

    I have, or HAD the exact same unit. Here's the problem most are not talking about. Not long after the warranty on a Minn Kota is done, the internal gears strip out and you're stuck with an expensive boat anchor. I've heard the same from many others. The older models went forever, the newer units are not worth it in the long term. Now I'm searching for a GOOD QUALITY transom motor.

    Hello! Thanks for posting this video!
    I have the Endura Max 55 Thrust 42”. I have noticed that at 100 Forward Speed and any reverse speed, it makes a terrible noise. Is this something you have noticed with yours as well?

    • @nitro3899
      @nitro3899  2 роки тому

      So far I haven't noticed any unusual noises.

    I have an Endura 55 and Endura Max . I had just broken off a tab on the transom mount. I think it's because of the way I've been trailering it. I usually tilt it back . I cant get it completely horizontal because of my seat situation. My question is. Should I bring it up as far as I can and leave it perpendicular to the boat on my trailer to avoid the stress on the tabs caused by the trailer bouncing? Too much of a hassle to dismount the motor all the time.

    Is there a benefit to having a 36" shaft over a 30" shaft? I have a metal jon boat and not sure which to get.

      @nitro3899  29 днів тому +1

      On a jon boat a 30 inch shaft is all you need. Before I bought this trolling motor I was using a 30 pound thrust with a 30 inch shaft and it was plenty. The only time you will need a 36 inch shaft is if you put it on a real deep boat.

    Hi there, thanks for your video. I've been recommended to buy the Minn Kota Endura Max 55Ib to use on my Intex Excursion 5 inflatable for various reasons but the main reason was the fact that its not so thirsty on the battery as most trolling motors are. The recommendation is more range out of the battery, my question is how did you find it with your battery. After all the battery is the gas tank so to speak, approximately how long do you go out for with your battery? Thank you.

    • @nitro3899
      @nitro3899  2 роки тому

      I mainly use mine on my jon boat in farm ponds so I can go all day and never run the battery down. I'm not sure how many hours it will last but if your putting it on an inflatable boat I would think it will run all day with no problems.

      @@nitro3899 Ok thank you for your reply. Could I ask how many amps per hour is your battery (AH). Probably be on a sticker somewhere on the battery, thank you.

    How long will the battery last with this motor? I just bought it and I’m probably going to pick up that battery you got too. Will it last for a full day of fishing just using it to move around to different spots on the lake. Not going to be running it continuously all day. Just as needed. What say you on this idea. Oh I’m using it on my pelican 10e Bass Raider.

      I mainly use mine on a 4 acre pond on a 16 ft. jon boat which is pretty heavy and have used it all day and never ran out of battery.

    Thinking about putting this exact same motor on a 10’ Jon boat? In your opinion will it be over kill? I was a little worried that the 36” shaft would be to long? Any insight would be appreciated

    • @nitro3899
      @nitro3899  2 роки тому +1

      Yes this motor would be an overkill on such a small boat be it would work, its even an overkill on my 16 ft. job boat. Probably the 30 pound thrust with a 30 inch shaft or the next size bigger would do you just fine.

      @@nitro3899 appreciate the reply. Let me add to the fact that I will be using the boat to run up a small river for public land access for deer hunting. I want to have as much thrust as I can to go against some current and to handle the extra weight for gear. My question is, when you say overkill, would it just be unnecessary or just stupid? Thanks again

    • @nitro3899
      @nitro3899  2 роки тому +1

      If your doing all that then this motor will definitely help you out especially with the river current and the wind. I use mine mostly on farm ponds and I can go into a head wind with no problem. The 36 inch shaft is adjustable so you can raise it or lower it depending on your need.

    • @nitro3899
      @nitro3899  Рік тому +2

      I mainly fish in my 4 acre pond and it will last all day. I'm not real sure how long it would last if you were in a river trolling upstream, but I'm sure it will last for several hours.
