This scene is a perfect example of why season 9 was one of the best seasons of the series. Instead of weak and passive, Blake was portrayed as the combative and iron willed patriarch, as he was from seasons 1-5. Adam was the perfect foil as his rebellious and wicked son.
This shows just how much Krystle influenced Blake emotionally. She moved out in S1 and Blake accidentally killed Steven's boyfriend. She's falls into a coma here in S9 and Blake backhands his son and makes him tumble down the stairs. Krystle is the only one who seemed to help him with his temper. In Season 6's opening episode in Moldavia, his temper almost got him shot but Krystle held him back and she stopped him from strangling Alexis to death and beating up Ben in S7.
i like how before it all ended it was revealed that Adam was in fact the real Carrington son. I thought he did a great job and was very believable as Forsythes son they even had some of the same facial structure similarities. The actor has stated in several interviews how he really enjoyed working with Collins and Forsythe both..
Adam And Jeff Had Fought Many Times On Dynasty Especially When Kirby Was Raped And Over Fallon On The Colbys And Fought Over Steven And Claudias Marriage Jeff And Adam Had More Fights Next To J R And Bobby Ewing On Dallas And Phillip Spaulding(Grant Aleksander) On Guiding Light Against Alan Spaulding Lujack And Even Edmund Winslow (Who Reminds Me Of Adam)
I know! In fact, Virginia was (IMO) one of the most boring and irrelevant characters on Dynasty. She was some country oaf that someone like Sable (or Blake) would never befriend. Sable might have Virginia serve some drinks, or clean a floor, but friends? 😂 Then, she becomes some poor little victim of her filthy past and because an aunt she barely knew was in a coma. It was laughable to think Virginia had “history” with Dex - and then, of course, Adam moves in on her 😅. Surprised producers didn’t reveal her as Krystle’s “long lost daughter from a tryst with Cecil Colby and therefore, the true heir to Colbyco!” The show was so bad then that this could have occurred 😅😂.
I think there is no mistake or no hiding the fact that Blake Carrington and his father did not earn their fortunes by honest means. I'm sure they made their money doing some unethical things. Nonetheless, Blake did genuinely care for his family and children but the sordid history seems to come out in the wash when there is an argument or dispute as clearly demonstrated here by Adam's retort.
It means that Blake and Tom made their fortunes through not so innocent means. That they likely weren't fully honest men. It's Adam trying to justify himself.
I think the context was Adam had hurt Krystle' niece Virginia (because Virginia had done some things in her past) and Blake was calling him out. And Adam clapped back about Blake and Tom Carrington's own morality. I think Dex got a piece of Adam also over Virginia.
Emma's Fallon was awful in season 5 and in The Colbys. But she was a great Fallon during season 9. Sure, noone beats PSM's season 1 Fallon, but Emma did her best withe material she was given imo.
I don't care how many people talk about Dallas. Dynasty was the number 1 soap opera besides knot's landing of course but one thing I missed about Pamela sue Martin the original Fallon Carrington is that 1 she looked like she belonged to the Carrington family 2 she had a mean streak just like her mother. 3 she was always loyal to her Dad Blake Carrington. Aaron spelling made a mistake replacing her with Emma Sam's I never liked Emma Sam's and the final season 9 of dynasty showed she had know loyalty to her Dad the way the original Fallon had. Old Fallon Carrington would never date a man who is trying to put her Dad in jail that's a definite no no. But maybe the writers didn't tell Emma Sam's about the continuity of her character 😞👎.

Season 9 was great, I agree.
I love how this show constantly tries to portray the elderly Blake as some bad-ass who can punch peoples lights out. Lol
Jonathan Washington ..He can you just saw him bust up Adam like nobodies business
Jeff really looks great in that sweater!
Jeff looks great in and out of anything.
@@Texaslawhorn mostly out of anything !! XD
@@MrCraigblaze Haha yes!
I loved Adam, such a good character, troubled, bitter, jealous and unhappy.

Excellent points
Krystle is a trophy wife, doesn’t work and has nothing else to do all day.
0:53 - Oh, give me a break. Unconscious? He only fell a few steps.
Any cat can do it with less fuss.
ClarenceFisher got that line from Fallon in season 2.......she used that line about a cat referring to her pregnancy.
and a great line it was. I was honored to be able to lift it.
ClarenceFisher you are so 😄 😂
Pahleese! Everyone knows you have to fall down all of the Carrington stairs to get injured.
It's that damn plush carpeting. Adam was all right, it saved Krystle from having another miscarriage (Alexis snaps her finger and mumbles 'damn it')

Man, between this and his two bouts with Dex, Adam took a helluva beating in Season 9.
He was a prick who deserved what he got
Don't forget his fight with Jeff over the tabloid article.
Con Dex solo se peleo una vez y ganó Dex y en ek penúltimo episodio peleo con Jeff y ganó Jeff

And Loved Jeff's Fight With Miles On The Colbys Too!
Somebody always falling down those stairs
At least Adam got off easy.. Unlike Ted Denard !! Thanks for the Upload 👍 !! XD
I liked the way Jeff dismissed the help with a head move.
I watched that Slap Scene like 20 times because I knew it was coming! 😂😂😂😂
That old mofo has got a pimp hand! Original Fallon would have left him there - LOL!
Blake punched Adam
we got elderly people actually falling down twice as much stairs getting up and walking away.
I guess Adam get revenge as well after this beat up on stairs lol
Yes, that is why he sold out to the Consortium in the Reunion.
Adam is just like his moma alexia nothing but TROUBLE!! and they both talk too damn MUCH!!
The apple don't fall to far from the tree...
Adam always reminded me of a drag queen. So melodramatic.
All this over Virginia, a character that nobody gave a rat's ass about lol

Nice slap Blake.
Where did Steven go

Adam almost got Ted Dinarded.
Lol
Poor Gordy!!!❤

Why Blake throw Adam out
Look how the help the walked away....I didn’t see nothing nor hear nothing
Damn that was a slap
It wasnt that many stairs sheesh lol
Väldigt bra scen tycker jag också sorligt scen 😭😭😢😢😪😪😓😓🤪🤪🤡🤡

Emma Sam's was awful
Not really, just amazing on GH as Holly!
Emma Samms is *awesome.*
Emma Samms was a very attractive woman when she was younger. She had a nice figure.
She was better as Holly Scorpio!❤
