Quick One Evening Model Railway Projects: Making Chimneys and Roof tiles

Modeling a railway set in the 1930s off the coast of Italy in a fictional village called Amalfitano. The people and the railway have their stories. Along the way I will share these stories, how to’s and updates on the little Gn15 scale railway.
The layout is L shaped. Construction started on November 7, 2020.

Happy Holidays! In Gn15 they are tall! Some are 23 inches tall.

I really love the era that your buildings and people are set in! Very unique and pleasant to look at. The chimneys look very real, I like the result using grout. I’ve played this video twice and I cannot grasp what you used to make the chimney pots?

I don’t think I ever mentioned it. I used push pins. My buildings are 50 inches above ground and tower 23 to 25 inches so everything is high up so a pushpin is not going to be really discernible.
