- This is the first one of three videos on how I go about doing my weathering this video just concerned itself with the weathering of the roof and the small bits of dressing the need to be done on this prototype English bond build
Nice work!
Wow! I would not have thought about the lath marks from the tiles.
Simon, I really would love to see a series of modelling books from you. THAT would be the cow's teat!
I understand that you more than likely don't have enough time for such an endeavour, but it sure would be a treat!
Thank you Simon another masterclass in building :-) J
Thank you John

AWWW is it over all ready...sigh. Thanks Sim.
Yeah not too far away from finishing it all, drop into the hangout we haven't seen you for while Sim
Hi Simon, thanks for another great video, like the idea of using the two different coloured washes. I am looking forward to your thoughts on the casting powder with the iron in it, I think I've already tried and not so sure I got the best out of it. Thanks again for sharing all you do. Paul
My apologies for the late reply I have still got quite a few experiments to do with casting powder with iron but so far it's looking good I probably won't be putting that out to some time next year thank you so much Sim
Thanks , looking forward to seeing what you achieve with it. Paul
he, did you buy those roof scales or did you make them , and if you bought them were did you buy them ?
fantastic job. but I have to admit that you lost me with the brick work. where did it come from? no brick in the roof and if its part of a chimney, shouldn't there be a hole in the floor where it came through from the floor below?or at least a partial chimney in the area?
I'm afraid say there's no set pattern for any think landing through rooves especially when houses explode close by . a large piece of masonry that is thrown into the air can cause just as much damage to a neighbouring house. Then a direct hit with a bomb or shell the roof damage that I have done comes very close to falling masonry which and wouldn't have fully penetrated the floors below many thanks Sim
ok, guess I didn't think that one all the way through :D
it is always good to question I believe that's how things are learnt many thanks for taking the time to watch the video Sim
