When you are caulking (elastomeric sealants) use a wet rag.

You use of "expensive" as an ideal, gives a sense of consumerism. If I want a shelf to look expensive I'll tape a $100 bill on it. I want my furniture to look GOOD.
Nice but the top shelf is installed improperly, flip the top shelf over the screw goes on the top.. unless you installed the middle or bottom board wrong.
I am planning to do this very soon. I will be traveling to the nearest IKEA to pick up, but I may encounter rain. Can anyone tell me if these bookcases are packaged to withstand it? Like are the various pieces wrapped in plastic? Thanks
Hi! So they aren't wrapped in plastic, just in cardboard boxes. Hope that helps! Happy DIYing!

How well does the paint stick to the billy bookcase? I’ve read the material of the bookcase makes it hard to stick without peeling off?
That is a great question! I used the Behr paint and primer in one from Home Depot. I haven't had any issues at all with it not sticking. I think it's because of the primer in the paint. You could always just use a separate bullseye primer with paint as well. But like I said, I haven't had any issues! :)

In the video it said used Benjamin Moore simply white paint for everything..........
