    During the 16th notes on the bass drums, I finally noticed the left bass is invisible. Gives me a cramp watchin' that right pedal. But I'm old. Ha!!..:)

    I would hope that this would help me read and understand different time signatures. But it actuality I think the only reason most of it makes sense is that I am so familiar with the the rhythms and changes of this song after hearing it so many times.
    I suspect if I tried to blind read anything with even a tenth of these changes, I would still be just as lost without HEARING it. The ear rules all and helps make sense of the incomprehensible!

    • @invisible.drummer
      @invisible.drummer  3 роки тому +1

      One thing that helped me to understand odd time signatures was to write, listen and analyze it on Guitar Pro 5.
      After that I started to play very easy grooves on 5/4 - 7/4 and so on.
      After a few weeks I realized that I was way better at understand the time signatures.
      Hope it will help you.

      @javiersalas1420 3 роки тому

      they're odd time signatures... unless it was even like 16/16 (4/4), you should put it this way

    • @CarlosFreitas99
      @CarlosFreitas99 3 роки тому +1

      @@javiersalas1420 what I mean is that those two bars followed by each other some up to two bars of 4/4, but one of them feels off by one a sixteenth note

    • @javiersalas1420
      @javiersalas1420 3 роки тому

      @@CarlosFreitas99 yes, it's comfort. Because if you put it with 2 bars of 4/4, the last one is gonna be off for that sixteenth note

    • @calebdalton7227
      @calebdalton7227 3 роки тому +1

      It's just time based around the rhythm, otherwise it'll be an awkward 4/4.

    • @whitefang1657
      @whitefang1657 3 роки тому

      I find it easier to break some of those longer bars into different sub divisions, such as 3/8, 7/16 instead of 13/16 or whatever. Makes it easier to count and internalise the rhythms

    • @Maddolis
      @Maddolis 3 роки тому

      Yeah I was thinking, surely someone who could transcribe a track like the Dance of Eternity would know that 6/8 has two beats per bar and not three. Perhaps the software grouped it that way in the conversion? Not all technology has caught up equally yet!
