Every time I lose patience with building my Subaru Legacy rally car I watch this material and it gives me the strength and will to continue...
I still remember watching on tv, him roll his car in america, land on his wheels, floor it, and still came second. Probably one of the best drivers the worlds known.
Possibly my all time favourite rally car….
Ive never seen that footage before,..just put a smile on my face to see the big man drive that scooby out of its socks,...RESPECT.

Those Group A cars were just so much more exciting to watch.
WRC is faster, no question, but the cars look too planted, the suspension and diffs are too tricksy.
And how about that double jump at 1:23?

“The Gruppo A era” was beautiful and the best compromise auto/power/spettacular driving!
Unfortunately we have to move with the times.The wrc is on another level compared to the group a class of the 90s.Its all to do with ratings and the media nowadays.
Group A was thrilling to watch because the cars were still somewhat unpredictable and did some quite radical moves suddenly. But evolution and engineering eventually ironed out that aspect sadly.

Mmm well done I've had mine for 26 years now still a thrill to drive its at 335000ks now and the motor has never been touched. They were so over engineered and after all this time I still love it. Really hope you enjoy yours.

subaru shoud reissue these old iconic cars...i dont like new subarus. they lost all spirit and personality.
