I found this to be the least explained system in the game and online, so I did my best to hopefully help you all understand it. It seems like the entire ecosystem of the map functions off this push and pull faction war system that all starts with the control points. Pretty easy to let it all be window dressing but once you figure it all out, it adds just alittle more flavor to the games world. Thanks for watching and reading! -Deadite
question: what is the difference between a control point being over and under 50%, do stop sending out patrols if below 50% or do they just send out more patrols if over 50%?
After 20 hours in the game, i can confirm: You have to call help via flare. it is not optional. However, it is your choice, if you call them before or after you cleared the outpost.
Will control points be taken back by the enemies if you leave it unattended for too long? :)
@@s4ints Hyenas, Outcasts and True Sons will not take back control points. However, the Black Tusk will.
@@mrbalazs1995 I just reached Tier 1.. I am trying to figure out how to get Specialization Points.. One way I was told was to raise Control Point alerts to level 4 and will be awarded with the points.. can i let them take it back and repeat it to get more points?
Also which Control Points are black tusk specific?
I wish we could upgrade Control Points. More defense, more NPCs (that can gather resources and decrease the rate they're consumed), add special NPCs that give you special bounties, add craft/recab. stations, stash, hire stronger NPCs that can take on invaders. And add more significant perks to keeping these CPs. More xp in the area you control, better loot, more loot,... A lot of potential here
Not impossible later on.
rather than keeping them alive, farming them each time with increased alert levels keeps you occupied in the game. otherwise i am already 450+ item level ans bored already. :((
Same. I was bored so I took over all the control point but one. Made the last one to alert level 3 and higher. I had multiple NPC trying to takeover the last control point but kept failing. At one point, I had multiple groups of NPCs invading that control point in a tiny war. I am probably gonna keep doing this and keep looting lv3 control points lol.
That's already there was in at release but CP LVL 3 and 4 are crazy at WT4
@@jamesb8488 I've heard something about this, but haven't experienced it. Can you elaborate? That's what I was actually looking for in this video.
I’m glad they actually gave you something to do while you’re just out in the world
Wow I had no idea that the supply rooms restock!
Me neither.
Dam this is great info i missed out on a shit ton of loot yesterday lol
After the video I immediately logged in and did a circuit of every unlocked control point...tons of gear and crafting materials. The fast travel for each point drops you in right next to the supply rooms too.
same... ermahgerdddd
😲🤞🏻
"A SETTLEMENT NEEDS YOUR HELP"
It just works.
But that thing *points at Preston* they scare me
Exactly what a synth would say.
I got bored with this game pretty quick. What's everyone elses thoughts?
Picked up The Witcher III, late to the party but I can see why everyone loves it.
Phillip McCrevis I feel bad for you
I helped a group get water, was so fun watching intelligent NPC's. 👍
one thing I think you missed - When the control point has "enough" resources - they will send out (better armed?) patrols that may assist you (better?). You'll often find these fighting Veteran bosses that often drop yellows
Yeah, it's something like that. It seems like the patrols "level up" in general, but i'm not entirely sure if that's just the settlement system or projects as well. Seeing settlements go from ratty clothed militia with handguns to clean, well armed cards that seem to both deal and take a fair sum of abuse really makes it feel like you're making a difference.
Yeah, I started with a second agent and noticed that most friendly NPCs in the open world at the beginning mostly wield pistols and have no armor, later on the get Shotguns, SMGs, LMGs, etc. with actual body armor and even later also weapon attachments and they throw grenades as well.
It's overall not that important, but I really like this sort of progression. The NPCs really assist you in gunfights, proving their value.
Additionally, once you reach the end game where the "Black Tusk" faction get introduced. ALL control points will be occupied by this new faction and the alertness mechanic gets added in. All control points will have an alert value between 1 and 4 associated with them. The higher this value, the harder the control point becomes, but the greater the rewards for recapturing it get. Alert 1 is equivalent to Normal difficulty, 2 is equivalent to Hard, 3 is equivalent to Challenging and 4 is equivalent to Heroic, which makes Alert 4 CPs the hardest content in the game as things stand. And in the end-game "Black Tusk" will every so often attempt a counterattack on a neighboring CP (This can be stopped by pushing them back so they lose control of all the CPs) and as a result you will need to go over there to help the friendly bot characters to defend. If the CPs resource stocks are in the red when a counterattack begins, there will be visibly less friendlies to help you out since they were sent out to retrieve supplies.
@Martin Sekeres so you're saying why even take over control pointsm
Thanks Boomstick, love your tips videos as you actually have useful, in depth information. A lot of channels often regurgitate tutorials or just state the blatant obvious making them worthless and a waste of time. Keep it up!
you are the first person I have seen that posted a video about the control points restocking. I had to figure it out on my own. I definitely make my rounds everyday. once I figured that out, I made sure I took control of all the points that I was capable of taking
That’s some really valuable information man, thanks!
Ubisoft definitely listened to the community this time around and there is a lot to do and the city feels more alive and even the small side stuff is fun and challenging and it feels like your doing something to help out and change the game.
Good vid.
Thanks for the info.
Can’t wait to get started in on it tonight 😃
Keep the great content coming !
I like these info videos .
Appreciate the info! Ive had a few control points but was confused with how to maximize them. You've fixed that.
I played over 100 hrs of division 1 and only played 11 hrs of division 2. And i must say division 2 even with a short play time is far better in every way.
I played over 1500 hours on div 1. This one is set up so much better.
That’s how a sequel should be done they improved on literally everything from the first one
Short play time? My group is in over 35 hours and haven’t hit world tier 4 yet...
John Ryan 25 hrs in just world tier one i thought it was going to be a couple missions that got revamped but nope. Pretty much everything goes insane.
😭😭I played 32 days 1h and 15 m idk how many hours that is
Thank you for staying on point and brief. Perfect video. I'm going to sub and see the rest of your videos.
Great videos! Came here via Reddit and am enjoying these concise tip videos for Div 2 - well done!

Just don't get it, this is a fantastic guide on a new aspect in the game. Very concise and well done. I liked/subscribed.
Josh K I’ll never understand
39 people disliked it. Clearly they're all Anthem employees. They're mad that they made a system that isn't giving you the best gun from the start. Also having numbers and stats are silly in looters Bioware says.
Nah its because this doesnt explain it well for endgame. It's a completely different ballgame then. This is a leveling guide and is inaccurate for the end.
@Glorious Geek The real truth is that the most trivial matter is what any one person things on the matter. This is why youtubers don't look at a few dislikes, they have analytics on their side.
Anonymity and triviality go hand-in-hand. For far too many, the moment their identity is exposed, their actions and opinions drastically change.
@@excaliblade6274 thwn they should be searching more carefully like just simply putting endgame in the search bar
Very well explained and easy to follow. Thank you! I subscribed 👍🏻
Thanks! I just started playing this game even though I've had it almost a year. It's deep... so much to learn.
Dude I watch a lot of these kinds of videos for Div2 and have for other games for a while. This video is really good quality. Like, just the way you cut it, the way you scripted it, all very nice. Just wanted to say that!
Thanks!
Thanks for this, bro. Love the Division 2.
Great video, just started playing a month ago and I'm at level 16. Thank you for the video, it was very helpful. I also liked you were at a lower level not like some of other ones at level 499.
Thank you for this information. I am completely new to the division and its been a blast so far !
You got my sub by that outro. Also great concise content!
Perfect tutorial on this element. From someone just starting out in Div2, thank you! Couldn't sub fast enough. Cheers all!
I always donate to the control points purely for the detection perk when farming keys
I started doing that. I used to start my day by farming a few sewers for keys and then I’d do control points. I started doing control points first and then after supplying them I would hunt for keys and I found quite a few boxes that I had just run past previously lol.
Super informative and straight to the point. I appreciate that bro
I had no idea. Thanks for the info. I'll be checking out my CPs
Awesome vid ;)
I will buy and download DIV 2 tomorrow, really looking forward to the game now ^^
You.will love it man once you get lvl.30 ! And complete all the main missions the game gets wild. Whole new faction invades everything
So helpful! I didnt feel like this was explained very well, or I blew through that tutorial
Thank you for a nice and well done video!😊
Thanks for the information, just a few more hours for me to get the game, with this knowledge i feel like i have an edge now lol
Yea im watching this as i wait for it to download myself, its great because i couldnt really figure it out during the beta myself
Really helpful video, thanks a lot!
Good info! Already played about 30 hours and I still learned something.
You will learn more if you wear a p.t belt while playing.
@@MenacingRabbit I wear full kit for the immersion
Great video! Thanks for the info!👌
Great video, thanks alot for making this
This game has been an absolute blast to play so far. I’m loving it.
I like how u see us out. Also I've been enjoying this system alot it makes the world alot more interesting to play in.
Good video. Short, to the point. Like it.
thanks, was trying to figure this out since i just got the game
Wow! great info. Thank you. I had no idea to zoom in on the map.....I know it sounds stupid, but I just didn't
Thanks. Great vid everything was well explained. Liked and Subscribed.
Best video for thr game I've seen so far
Thanks for this video I was confused
Very informative. Thanks!
Great video !
Just the guide I was looking for, thanks.
I will sadly admit that I just found out the other day that you can fast travel there or re spawn there I would always re spawn at a safe house.
I love all these little systems and bits of content added to the open world to make it feel alive. Like if you look at Anthems open world, it’s just a gigantic open world with nothing but trees and rocks. And the occasional public event, but then you look at the division 2s open world and...wow. Really feels alive.
Love the tips. I didnt know that the supply room can restock.
Great video. Also, if you restock control point beuond 50 points on each need, you will see loot better as it is gonna be orange and highlighted in distance for the next 10 mins. You also see it through walls and enemies as well. Need to gain some perk for that though. After your time runs out, simlly travel to one of the control points and donate more. If those are all over 50 points, just give them 1x water or 1x food and you just gained further 10 mins of easier scavenging.
Brilliant video, thank you!
Man I’m loving this game I honesty don’t mind Taking over control points and I love the loot!
Had no idea that they were restocked. Thanks for the heads up.
Nice video man!
You are really good at wording your videos
Thanks! I write scripts because I am bad at "off the cuff"
This is very helpful! Thanks 👌
Didn't know you could farm the control points every 24 hours. Solid info!
you have missed the most important part in control point warfare: ALERT LEVELS
there are side missions associated with control points, which increases the alert level thus the difficulty (and maybe the quality of loot) when completed.
Thats the last endgame
Which is the majority of the game. Leveling lasts a week or so the following months are all end game.
It's so much to do in this game keep it coming
Clear, useful guide. Thanks!
omg dude thanks to you now i know that everyday i can find loot
Also if they are in need of resources they spend more time scavenging and thus the CP has much less security and is likely to be taken over in the next attack. If you fill those meters up they got more time securing the CP. Pause at 2:20 and 2:28 look at the text :)
Great video, cheers!
The control point system evolves when you hit world tier 1. The civilian militia begins sending attack squads to take attempt to take (They will not always succeed) enemy control points, and the enemy factions begin sending their own attack squads to take control points from each other and from you. Then in world tier 4 it evolves again to make it so that completing activities near a control point raises that control point's alert level which increases the difficulty of capturing the control point, but more difficult enemies means a higher chance at quality loot.

Great video
Awesome game 🇲🇽🎮
Thank you! 🤜🤛
Gr8 vid m8 👍😁👍
Gg good vid dude
Subbed, Thanks!
Well done.
Holy shit! I had no idea they restocked!
This is a great gear farm for doing projects, it all works in tandem, you can hit 30 in no time using all these in combination. The hardest part really is keeping all of them stocked.
i suggest you intercept enemies that are on the way to gather or bringing mats back to farm these really fast. it seems there is static spawns on the map where enemies will spawn on a gathering mission
Thanks for the input. Been playing for a day now. Wat better than the 1st. Feels a little like ghost wildlands.
Will you do a DarkZone video? fantastic man. thanks!
Wow, I can't believe they restock. I have like 8 points already, I better go to farm again.
L
Love this game seriously
Great video. I sub
Good info
Your dude looks like a badass. Nice character creation.
Thank you for this, only one more hour for me to go then it’s midnight in the uk and time for me to clean up DC.
Enjoy!
DC certainly needs cleaning up these days, that's for sure
Nice tips
Thank you
SO helpful.
Big help!
Thanks!
Thanks for the info. Let us know if there's other hidden mechanics that Ubisoft not tell us. ;)
Good video
Subscription done 😁
Never knew it turned to raw XP. Thanks mate
I got my first yellow, which was a shotgun, from the yellow chest at the end. I still had blues and a few greens.
Thankyou
Something to note is that taking control points by yourself is not possible, you have to call the NPC's to come take the point, second wave of enemies wont even spawn until you have used the flare.
Lol maybe for you! But having 270k armor 90k health and 120k headshot damage 15percent crit to elites, ..... my 8 year old brother runs them for me easy
You ate wrong
@@ventedthesenuts ya because they patched how they work after i commented
@@therealog6814 nothing to do with stats that was how they used to function, they patched them after i made that comment
it's cool when you have check points fully stocked and you just have to talk to the leader to get the bonus on loot and enemy detection. I didn't notice it worked this way to start with though, so after you stock them up fully, they normally manage to get themselves stocked and you'll just auto get the buffs. I think this is how it works anyway. you may have manually re-supply eventually.
PS: you have to unlock the buffs from the perk tree, well worth it though.
