thanks so much for doing this video. My 7-year old, inexpensive vacuum has been the absolute best vacuum that I have ever owned (I am 70 years old, so I have had a lot of expensive and inexpensive vacuums over the years)! I did not want to give up this vacuum! I could not fix it until I saw your excellent video. Thanks for carefully going through each step. My vacuum is now good for another 7+ years thanks to you. I can't thank you enough for your time.
Thanks to your video, just fixed mine in 15 minutes switch was stuck in on position, pulled red piece off, put gel lube around switch, saved buying another vacuum, my problem was it would not shut off. You gained another sub by showing what not to do, tks !
Thanks for the teardown video. My line cord was split and intermittent and I couldn’t figure out how to get the switches out without damaging the housing. Your video helped me get it all fixed!
This video is exactly what I needed. My vacuum works, it’s stuck in the on position? I wasn’t sure about taking it apart, I’ve had a few issues. I hate to throw things away if I can fix them. Thanks for making a guinea pig of your vacuum to help save the a fool like me. Have a great day & keep making videos.🙂
Thank you so much. I was at wits end trying to replace the cord on mine. Without you showing that crazy hidden screw up top, I don't know what I would have done.
You ever disassemble the Air to Nossel assembly hose? That hose is Very Good about wearing out and splitting. I'm trying to find a replacement for just The Hose itself and reattach the two connectors. I've rebuilt this thing twice. Parts are hard to find for this vacuum. I don't think Hoover expected anyone to maintain it. Expected it to last a few years. lol.
Thank you very much for your video I’ve been looking for a while thank God that I found it tonight I will take care of it tomorrow I hope it’s not the motor thank you again
Thanks for this. But I did one more thing and that was to loosen (and jiggle) the switch that sits under the cap by the left wheel - the one that is activated when the handle is pulled down. It got the brush motor running again.
CAN U TELL ME THE WIRING LOCATION COLORS IN OFF/ON SWITCH , I DIDN'T LOOK CLOSELY WHEN DISASSEMBLING. U HAVE the MAIN POWER ON/OFF SWITCH (LARGE) and the BRUSH OFF/ON SWITCH (SMALL). CAN YOU GIVE ME the 2 COLORS TO MAIN POWER SWITCH, and the 2 COLORS TO BRUSH SWITCH. THANKS
Can you offer some advice on what to do when power on switch does not stay depressed. You have to manually hold it down to vacuum. Is it the switch or a clip or spring that keeps it depressed?
*”You will find that they just WILL NOT **_come oot!_* *But I’m kinda **_bummed-oot,_** because on mine it’s the **_main motor_** that’s burned out, eh?* *Soo I guess I’m **_oota luck,_** eh?* *(I’m just teasing! Some of my best college buddies were Canananadadadians).* 😁

Your easy to follow instructions allowed me to get to my UH72400 vacuum. I simply could not figure it out myself. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the informative video. The power switch on my uh72400 was acting up and thanks to this video I was able to get it fixed.

Thanks! I was having a helluva time figuring out how to get to the switches!

My Hoover wind tunnel is making a very loud “siren” type noise when Iturn it on?

Are both the brown switches exactly the same button or do they differ ?
I no longer have the unit so I can't tell you Mike. sorry
Thank you. It's perfectly what I needed to repair my vacuum....
Is the motor that small?
How do I remove the top

Happy new year 2019
Thanks for chewing up your vacuum so I don't have to!
That was the idea. Mine was in Hell so I thought people would want to see what was inside and if I broke it... fine... its already dead :)
Thanks for sharing this. It's exactly what I needed... I'm just wondering how I ended up with two extra screws! 🫤
