Yeah, you know the phrase: divorce, beheaded and died, divorced, beheaded and well Catherine Parr, after she married Thomas Seymour, she died in childbirth, so yeah the curse of being Henry’s wife still got to her even after his death. Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, still died.
There is no reason we should get that in the Spanish princess when we get that in tudors
The series isn't about Henry and his six wives we have the Tudors for that, this is a pov of Catherine and her problems aka why the show is called the Spanish Princess

Henry declined bc he'd have to wait 10+ years foe both kids to be oldnenougn to have a heir nd he might not want a heir that's as baby-toddler age to succeed him if anyrhing goes wrong. The council members would use a baby king, alteaslt Edward was 9 and made hos own decisions
I just read the cast list for each episode and the other woman is going to be Bessie Blount. Even though in history she didn't come until a little later but, I know they're trying to speed thing's up.
Catherine is pregnant with her daugther Mary I born in 1516.

@@babblerscorner You're right, there's still many other mistress to come, but Anne and Mary appeared in episode 3 as ladies in waiting for princess Mary (Henry's sister), there's a scene that he called for Thomas and tells the man his daughters are going to France with his sister, so we do have a little hint 😬
Anne Boleyn shouldn't even be there in the show until after Catherine of Aragon has gone through five miscarriages and given birth to Mary. Then we've got to wait until she realizes that she is barren and that Henry has been screwing around behind her back. AND then Anne comes into the narrative after her sister loses the interest of Henry because her father is a power hungry bastard.

How on earth are they going to speed things up and make Henry 40+ and Catherine 50 (when she dies)? Charlotte Hope looks 25 in here and the guy who plays Henry looks 15. I hope they don't cover their faces with these awful prosthetics they used on Jonathan Rhys Meyers at the end of the Tudors. or they could end the series with the characters still being young.

Both were already introduced in the show but it is highly possible than this episode will focus on Bessie, maybe Mary at the end, becoming Henry's mistresses

this actress is good at accents and does a great job portraying a younger modern version of the late Queen Catherine. And I’m addicted to this show...
but it actually bothers me, the real actress isn’t an actual Latina. Why didn’t they hire an actress from 🇪🇸 Spain...? 😅 I just found this odd.. and unfair to actresses who might have audition for this role where they can represent their country.
I mean the actress studied Spanish at Oxford. Which is amazing and all but she also studied how Penelope Cruz spoke to learn this accent. Idk 🤷🏾♀️ I’m black but I’m still a fan of the show. I wonder if anyone thought this too...

Yep! You see glimpses of her when she was a child in the first season, and then she was in the latest episode. But the affair might not happen this season, Henry had a bunch of mistresses before her, so they will focus on them first.

I believe so. It looks like 2x04 takes place during 1515. Mary was born in February of 1516.

Both marries later in 1533 when Anne is 5 mouth pregnant and gives birth too Elizabeth I.
Katherine a favor and had an affair with Henry when Juana was shipwrecked in England. If Juana had Henry's illigitmate child nd hid the fact until after Phillip's death, by the time Anne could try to give Henry a son he'd have an adult child with Jauna. It wouldn't matter if the child was illigitmate or a female, the child would be an adult with sons nd a direct threat to any sons Anne had. And CharlesV would back his illigitmate adult sister nd give her territories her hushed didn't give her. If that child takes the English throne by Charles invading v Englanf to overthrow Anne's son, then Mary nd Katherine are protected.
It wax charlesV's fault Henry even decided to divorce Katherine, if Charles didn't break the marriage alliance with England nd married Mary, Henry would've divorced Katherine or thought of sons, worrying Leviticus Henry was fine with his daughter Mary marring marrying nd having a grandson that was the HRE(Philip wasn't even born yet). Henry was still trying to keep an alliance with Spain like Henry VII did through Katherine nd Arthur's marriage alliance, Arthur was a new king nd needed a wife with strong royal blood. Henry knew he did too when Mary might've married the HRE then he forget when Charles broke the alliance nd and Anne came in the picture. The pope offered Katherine's cousin but Henry declined
